Objective: To study synergistic effects of nedaplatin and cisplatin on three human carcinoma cell lines (esophageal carcinoma cell line Eca-109, ovarian carcinoma Skov-3 and cervical carcinoma Hela). Methods: Inhibition effects were evaluated by MTT assay and cell apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry. In addition, changes of Ki-67, Bax and Bcl-2 at mRNA and protein levels were quantified by RT-PCR and Western blotting. Results: Growth inhibition in each cell lines was dose-dependent after exposure to nedaplatin or cisplatin alone. The interaction of the two drugs was synergistic at higher concentrations according to the median-effect principle. The inhibition rates with nedaplatin, cisplatin and combined treatment were $41.9{\pm}4.1%$, $47.4{\pm}2.9%$, $52.5{\pm}0.9%$(Eca-109), $39.0{\pm}1.26%$, $45.0{\pm}1.45%$, $56.2{\pm}1.44%$ (Skov-3) and $44.8{\pm}2.11%$, $46.9{\pm}0.99%$, $56.6{\pm}1.83%$ (Hela) respectively, with increase in apoptosis. Compared with the nedaplatin or cisplatin alone treatment group, the combinative treatment group's Ki-67 and bcl-2 mRNA (protein) expression was decreased while that of Bax mRNA (protein) was increased. Conclusion: Compared to the effects of nedaplatin or cisplatin alone at high concentrations, combination of nedaplatin and cisplatin at low concentrations proved to be much more effective for inhibition of proliferation and the induction of apoptosis in the Eca-109, Skov-3 and Hela cell lines.

The chapter of 『Liu Bu Mai Jie(六部脈解)』 explains that emphasizing Shen(神) through understanding the shape of pulse(脈象) is more important than the locating the area of thc shape of pulse(脈象). 3. The chapter of 『Zuo Xin Tan Zhong Can Dan Shen Xiao Chang You Fei Xiang Zhong Pi Wei Ming Da Chang Bian($좌심단중간담신소장{\cdot}우폐흉중비위명대장판$)』exhibits the different view about the position of pulse from Li Shi Zhen(李時珍)'s. the chapter in which Zhou(周) arranges Heart{\cdot}Small\;Intestine{\cdot}Liver{\cdot}Gall\;Bladder{\cdot}Kidneys{\cdot}and$ Bladcler($心{\cdot}小腸{\cdot}肝{\cdot}膽{\cdot}腎{\cdot}膀胱$) in left hand and $Lungs{\cdot}Large{\cdot}Intestine{\cdot}Spleen{\cdot}Stomach{\cdot}Kidney{\cdot}and$ The gate of Vitality($肺{\cdot}大腸{\cdot}脾{\cdot}胃{\cdot}腎{\cdot}命門$) in right hand. From the above results, I'm sure that 『San Zhi Shan(三指禪)』which has headed down to descendants as the special book about the study of pulse has developed the theory of pulse. Therefore I expect that the more profound study about this will be going on.

Open reading frame 29 (ha29) is a gene specific for Helicoverpa armigera single-nucleocapsid nucleopolyhedrovirus (HearSNPV). Sequence analyses showed that the transcription factor Tfb2 motif, bromodomain and Half-A-TPR (HAT) repeat were present at aa 66-82, 4-76, 55-90 of the Ha29 protein respectively. The product of Ha29 was detected in HearSNPV-infected HzAM1 cells at 3 h post-infection. Western blot analysis using a polyclonal antibody produced by immunizing a rabbit with purified GST-Ha29 fusion protein indicates that Ha29 is an early gene. The size of Ha29 product in infected HzAM1 cells was about 25 kDa, which was larger than the presumed size of 20.4 kDa. Tunicamycin treatment of HearSNPV-infected HzAM1 cells suggested that the Ha29 protein is N-glycosylated. Fluorescent confocal laser scanning microscope examination, and Western blot analysis of purified budded virus (BVs), occlusion-derived virus (ODVs), cell nuclear and cytoplasmic fraction, showed that the Ha29 protein was localized in the nucleus. Our results suggested that ha29 of HearSNPV encodes a non-structurally functional protein that may be associated with virus gene transcription in Helicoverpa hosts.

Cotesia vestalis is an endoparasitoid of Plutella xylostella larvae and injects a polydnavirus (CvBV) into its host during oviposition. In this report we characterize the gene, CvBV3307, and its products. CvBV3307 is located on segment S33 of the CvBV genome, is 517 bp, and encodes a putative protein of 122 amino acids, including a serine-rich region. The expression pattern of CvBV3307 in parasitized larvae and the subcellular localization of CvBV3307 only in granulocytes indicated that it might be involved in early protection of parasitoid eggs from host cellular encapsulation and in manipulating the hormone titer and developmental rhythm of host larvae. Western blot analysis showed that the size of the immunoreactive protein (about 55 kDa) in parasitized hosts at 48 hours post parasitization (h p.p.) is much larger than the predicted molecular weight of 13.6 kDa, which suggests that CvBV3307 undergoes extensive post-translational modification in hosts.

Arthrospira platensis has been reported to contain a variety of substances such as phycocyanin, ${\beta}$-carotene, vitamin E and other carotenoids. In this study, zebrafish were treated with indoor cultivation spirulina ethanol extracts(ICAE) to determine toxicity(coagulation rate, hatching rate, heart rate). We used the DCFH-DA staining method to detect the effect of reactive oxygen species(ROS) generation on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced zebrafish embryos ROS various concentrations(0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5mg/ml) of ICAE. Cell toxicity was measured by WST-1 assay on RAW 264.7 macrophage cell line. Also, measured the inhibitory effect of nitric oxide(NO) and prostaglandin $E_2$ ($PGE_2$) production in RAW264.7 macrophages induced by LPS at various concentrations of ICAE. The results of embryo coagulation rate, hatching rate, heart rate of zebrafish at various(0.01, 0.05, 0.1mg/ml) of ICAE was no toxicity. The ICAE treated group had an inhibitory effect on NO and $PGE_2$ production compared and decreased with concentration. The results of this study ethanol extract of Arthrospira platensis has an anti-inflammatory effect and suggest that is worthy of use cosmetics for skin protection.

The purposes of this study were to examine the effects of narrative therapy group counseling on children's dysfunctional beliefs and levels of aggression. The subjects were 20 students in grade 5 who had been randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was treated with narrative therapy group counseling. The experiment was performed over 10 sessions for 10 weeks. In order to test the experimental effects, post testswere administered after treatment. The results were analyzed by means of MANOVA. The findings of the study were as follows : Compared to the control group, the experimental group experienced a significant reduction in dysfunctional beliefs and levels of aggression.

본 논문에서는 gate와 drain bias stress하에서의 a-IGZO thin-film transistors (TFTs)의 비대칭 열화 메커니즘 분석을 진행하였다. Gate와 drain bias stress하에서의 a-IGZO TFT의 열화 현상은 conduction band edge 근처에 존재하는 oxygen vacancy-related donor-like trap의 발생으로 예상되며, TFT의 channel layer 내에서의 비대칭 열화현상은 source의 metal과 a-IGZO layer간의 contact에 전압이 인가되었을 경우, reverse-biased Schottky diode에 의한 source 쪽에서의 높은 electric field가 trap generation을 가속화시킴으로써 일어나는 것임을 확인할 수 있었다.

We hypothesized the primary effect of ginseng was to protect cell membrane fatty acids from decomposition caused by free radicals. To confirm the antioxidant effect of ginseng, we measured the inhibitory effect on the formation of thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances, an indicator of lipid peroxidation, and evaluated the free radical scavenging effect of ginseng by electron spin resonance spectrometer, and gas chromatography. The results showed that thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances formed and the loss of arachidonic acid during lipid peroxidation, and that hydroxyl (-like) radical peak formed by the iron complex (ferric nitrilotriacetate, an known free radical generator in vitro) were completely inhibited by ginseng extract. This antioxidant effect of ginseng may be responsible for its wide pharmacological actions in clinical practice. As the free radical reactions in general are rapid and non-specific, ginseng seems to act as a normalizer, rather than a general tonic, at the stages of acute or chronic active phase of the various diseases.

Leaf C:N ratio is a new factor in the field of biochemical inversion with hyperspectral data. Effects of common-used spectral transformations including log(R), log(1/R), 1/R, etc. from 400nm to 2490nm on its inversion are compared. Results show that their effects on statistical modeling are not apparent. Continuum removal is used on original reflectance in the range of 2030nm to 2220nm, in which exists an apparent absorption peak due to cellulose, lignin, protein, etc. The effect is distinctive and tends to improve the precision of C:N ratio inversion. Further, it is a robust and physically based transformation.
