디지털 제어를 적용한 동기식 강압형 직류-직류 변환기 (Digitally Controlled Synchronous Buck Converter)

  • 본 논문에서는 기본적인 직류-직류 변환기 중 하나인 동기식 강압형 직류-직류 변화기를 디지털 제어로 구현함으로서 아날로그 제어기를 디지털 제어기로 변환 하는 과정에 관하여 설명한다. 먼저 전원단의 소신호 특성을 해석하여 제어대 출력전압의 전달함수를 찾아내고, 이것을 토대로 아날로그 제어기를 설계 하여 Simulink를 통하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하고, 설계된 아날로그 제어기를 바탕으로 Matlab을 이용한 Emulation 기법을 사용하여 디지털 제어기를 설계 한다. DSP(TMS320F28335)를 사용한 동기식 강압형 직류-직류 변환기에 설계된 디지털 제어기를 적용하여 안정도와 부하변동에 따른 응답 특성을 확인 한다.

Fuzzy PD Speed Controller for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

  • This paper presents a fuzzy PD speed control scheme for the robust speed tracking of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). Motivated by the common control engineering knowledge that transient performance can be improved if the P gain is big and the D gain is small in the beginning, a linearizing control scheme with a fuzzy PD controller is proposed. The global system stability is analyzed and the proposed control algorithm is implemented using a TMS320F28335 DSP. Simulation and experimental results are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, a digital speed regulator system design method is developed for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). Firstly, an accurate approximate discrete-time model is proposed for a PMSM considering its inherent nonlinearities. Based on the discrete-time model, a digital acceleration observer as well as a digital speed regulator is designed. The exponential stability of the augmented control system is analyzed. The proposed digital speed regulator system is implemented by using a TMS320F28335 floating point DSP. Simulation and experimental results are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

PSO-Based Nonlinear PI-type Controller Design for Boost Converter

  • This paper designs a nonlinear PI-type controller for the robust control of a boost DC-DC converter using a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. Based on the common knowledge that the transient responses can be improved if the P and I gains increase when the transient error is big, a nonlinear PI-type control design method is developed. A design procedure to autotune the nonlinear P and I gains is given based on a PSO algorithm. The proposed nonlinear PI-type controller is implemented in real time on a Texas Instruments TMS320F28335 floating-point DSP. Simulation and experimental results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed method.

  • This paper presents analyses and performance evaluations of a PWM inverter for a permanent magnet synchronous motor drive under open fault conditions caused by the open fault in one switching device or isolation between the inverter and motor terminal. A fault model for a PWM inverter is derived and experiment is carried out by using DSP TMS320F28335 to provide the basis of fault diagnosis for such a case.

ECU간 기기인증을 위한 HB-Family 경량인증기법의 적용 방법 (An Implementation Method of HB-Family Light-weight Authentication for Device Authentication between ECU)

  • 현대 차량 내부 네트워크는 ECU라고 불리는 소형 전자제어 장치로 구성되어 있다. 과거에는 주행 중인 차량의 내부 네트워크에는 접근할 수 있는 방법이 없었고, 따라서 차량 내부 네트워크 폐쇄적인 환경으로 인식되었으며 이로 인하여 내부 네트워크를 구성하고 통신하는 기기간의 인증기법이 존재 할 필요가 없었다. 하지만 현재 통신기술이 발전함에 따라 차량 내부 네트워크에 접근할 수 있는 다양한 방법이 등장하였고, 이로 인하여 발생할 수 있는 차량내부 네트워크를 구성하는 ECU간의 기기인증 문제에 대하여 관심이 집중되고 있다. HB-Family 기법은 RFID 환경에서 대표적인 경량인증기법이며, RFID 환경은 차량 내부 네트워크와 비슷한 제약사항을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 ECU의 약한 연산처리 능력과 CAN 프로토콜의 제한적인 메시지 전송량을 고려하여 효율적인 기기 인증을 수행하기 위해 HB-Family 경량인증기법을 차량 내부 CAN에 적용하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법을 적용한 인증기법의 가용성과 효율성을 평가하기 위해 DSP-F28335 Device기반의 성능평가를 수행한 결과 실험 환경에 따라 수행속도를 최소 10%에서 최대 36%의 속도를 향상 시킬 수 있었으며, 이를 차량 내부 네트워크의 다양한 측면에서 분석한다.

LMI-based Sliding Mode Speed Tracking Control Design for Surface-mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

  • For precisely regulating the speed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor system with unknown load torque disturbance and disturbance inputs, an LMI-based sliding mode control scheme is proposed in this paper. After a brief review of the PMSM mathematical model, the sliding mode control law is designed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). By adding an extended observer which estimates the unknown load torque, the proposed speed tracking controller can guarantee a good control performance. The stability of the proposed control system is proven through the reachability condition and an approximate method to implement the chattering reduction is also presented. The proposed control algorithm is implemented by using a digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335. The simulation and experimental results verify that the proposed methodology achieves a more robust performance and a faster dynamic response than the conventional linear PI control method in the presence of PMSM parameter uncertainties and unknown external noises.

Modeling and a Simple Multiple Model Adaptive Control of PMSM Drive System

  • This paper deals with the input-output modeling of a vector controlled PMSM drive system and design of a simple multiple model adaptive control (MMAC) scheme with desired transient responses. We present a discrete-time modeling technique using closed-loop identification that can experimentally identify the equivalent models in the d-q coordinates. A bank of linear models for the equivalent plant of the current loop is first obtained by identifying them at several operating points of the current to account for nonlinearity. Based on these models, we suggest a simple q-axis MMAC combined with a fixed d-axis controller. After the current controller is designed, another equivalent model including the current controller in the speed control loop shall be similarly obtained, and then a fixed speed controller is synthesized. The proposed approach is demonstrated by experiments. The experimental set up consists of a surface mounted PMSM (5 KW, 220V, 8 poles) equipped with a flywheel load of 220kg and a digital controller using DSP (TMS320F28335).

  • To improve the power quality of distributed generation (DG) systems even in the presence of distorted grid condition, dual current control scheme of a grid-connected inverter is proposed. The proposed current control scheme is achieved by decomposing the inverter state equations into the fundamental and harmonic components. The derived models are employed to design dual current controllers. The conventional PI decoupling current controller is used in the fundamental model to control the main power flow in DG systems. At the same time, the predictive control is applied in the harmonic model to suppress undesired harmonic currents to zero quickly. To decompose the voltage inputs and state variables into the fundamental and harmonic components, the fourth order band pass filter (BPF) is designed in the discrete-time domain for a digital implementation. For experimental verification, 2kVA prototype of a grid-connected inverter has been constructed using digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is demonstrated through comparative simulation and experimental results.

Power Quality Improvement for Grid Connected Inverters under Distorted and Unbalanced Grids

  • A power quality improvement scheme for grid connected inverters, even in the presence of the disturbances in grid voltages due to harmonic distortions and three-phase imbalance, is presented for distributed generation (DG) power systems. The control objective is to force the inverter currents to follow their references with robustness even under external disturbances in grid voltages. The proposed scheme is realized by a disturbance observer (DOB) based current control scheme. Since the uncertainty in a system can be effectively canceled out using an estimated disturbance by the DOB, the resultant system behaves like a closed-loop system consisting of a disturbance-free nominal model. For experimental verification, a 2 kVA laboratory prototype of a grid connected inverter has been built using a digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320F28335. Through comparative simulations and experimental results under grid disturbances such as harmonic distortion and imbalance, the effectiveness of the proposed DOB based current control scheme is demonstrated.
