온도증가에 따른 nMOSFET의 Hot carrier effect 변화 (Hot carrier effect of nMOSFET's at elevated temperatures)

  • 25.deg. C 에서 120.deg. C까지 온도를 증가시키면서 hot carrier effect에 의한 nMOSFET의 degradation을 drain current와 transconductance의 변화를 통해 알아보았다. 온도가 증가할수록 hot carrier에 의한 degradation 이 전체적으로 줄어드는 것을 볼수 있었다. stress를 가한 후 reverse mode로 측정하였는데 saturation 영역보다 linear 영역에서 drain current의 degradation이 크게 나탔으며 온도가 증가할수록 이러한 경향이 유지되면서 degradation이 감소하였다. transconductance는 linear 영역과 saturation 영역에서 각각 측정하였는데 온도가 증가할수록 linear 영역의 degradation이 더많이 감소하였다.

  • The current literature on discrete-time Markov chain (DTMC) based analysis of IEEE 802.15.6 MAC protocols for wireless body area networks (WBANs), do not consider the ACK timeout state, wherein the colliding nodes check the ill fate of their transmissions, while other contending nodes perform backoff check that slot as usual. In this paper, our DTMC model accurately captures the carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) mechanism of IEEE 802.15.6 medium access control (MAC) and allows the contending nodes performing backoff to utilize the ACK timeout slot during collisions. The compared rigorous results are obtained by considering a non-ideal channel in non-saturation conditions, and CSMA/CA parameters pertaining to UWB PHY of IEEE 802.15.6 MAC protocols.

  • In this paper, we proposed that the problem of controlling induction motor with magnetic saturation, is studied from an input-output feedback linearization with adaptive algorithm. is considered. An adaptive input-output feedback linearizing controller is considered under the assumption of known motor parameters and unknown load torque. In order to achieve the speed regulation with the consideration of improving power efficiency, rotor angular speed and flux amplitude tracking objectives are formulated. Simulation results are provided for illustration.

  • Reference models are used in many control algorithms for improvement of transient response characteristics. They provide desired trajectories that the plant should follow Most control systems have bounded control inputs to avoid saturation of the plant. If we design the reference models that do not account for limits of the control inputs, control performance of the system may be deteriorated. In this paper a new approach of avoiding saturation by varying the reference model for TDC(time delay control) based systems subject to step changes in the reference input. In this scheme, the variable reference model is determined based on the information on control inputs and the size of the step changes in the reference inputs. This scheme was verified by application to the BLDC motor position control system in simulations and experiments. The responses of the TDC with the variable reference model showed better tracking performance than that with the fixed reference model.

  • This paper presents a new saturation modeling technique of synchronous generators using the operating data. With the stator voltages, currents and the field current directly measured on the field winding at different steady state operating conditions, it can estimate tile saturated stator mutual inductances, stator resistance and the field-stator equivalent turns ratio. Effects of the measurement noises on tile estimated parameters are also investigated.

  • In this paper, we proposed that the problem of controlling induction motor with magnetic saturation is studied from an input-output feedback linearization with adaptive algorithm.   • To prepare for the ever-increasing demand for air transport, airport operators should be well aware of the timing of the saturation of the facility and increase the capacity of the airport through extension or extension. The capacity of an airport is determined by the smallest value of the facilities that make up the airport, but it is generally customary to determine the capacity of the costly and time-consuming runway as a whole for the airport. For analyzing the capacity of the runway capacity, the study used the most accurate microscopic air traffic simulation, Simmod-PRO, to analyze the saturation time of three runways currently in Incheon International Airport's operation, and calculate the appropriate time for operation of the 4th runway. The study also calculate the relocation of Airport's high-speed exit taxiway for analyzing the increasing of capacity.

  • Pulse oximetry is a non-invasive method for monitoring how much oxygenated hemoglobin is present in the blood. The principle of pulse oximetry is based on the red infrared light adsorption characteristics of oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin. Even through the convenience of a pulse oximeter, its weak signal-to-noise ratio against motion artifacts and low perfusion makes it difficult to be accepted by execs devices. Several researchers have suggested the use of an adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) algorithm. They have demonstrated that ANC is feasible for reducing the effects of motion artifacts. Masimo Corporation developed a discrete saturation transformation (DST) algorithm that uses a reference signal and ANC. In commercial devices, it is very hard to escape it because Masimo's patents are very powerful and a better method is yet to be developed. This study proposes a new method that can measure noise saturation as well as accurate oxygen saturation from signals with high motion artifacts without using ANC and DST. The proposed algorithm can extract a normal signal without noise from a signal with motion artifacts. The reference signal from a pulse oximeter simulator was used for the evaluation of our proposed algorithm and achieved good results.

입원 소아환자에서 정맥주사 시 통증 및 불안을 경감시키기 위한 중재연구 (An Intervention Study of Pain Reduction during IV Therapy in Hospitalized Children)

  • Background : Most hospitalized children will experience physical pain as well as psychological distress. Painful procedure can increase anxiety and fear of pediatric patients and their parents who do not have understanding logical of their disease and hospitalization. This study attempted to identify pain reduction in related to therapeutic intervention by age and environmental improvement. Methods : A total of 194 hospitalized children and their parents were investigated. Data collection period was 3 months from March to May 2004. Four instruments were used to collect the data : Faces Pain Rating Scale(FPRS), Heart rate, Oxygen saturation and Pain behavioral check list. The data were analyzed by a SPSS program and tested x2-test, t-test, ANCOVA. Results : 1. Age from 0 to 3, the Heart rate, FPRS, Oxygen saturation and Pain behavioral check list were significantly different in theraputic intervention group when compare to control group. 2. Age from 4 to 6, FPRS, Oxygen saturation and Pain behavioral check list were significantly different in theraputic intervention group when compare to control group. But the heart rate were not significantly different when compare to control group. 3. Age from 7 to 9, FPRS and Pain behavioral check list were significantly lower in therapeutic intervention group when compare to control group but Heart rate and Oxygen saturation were not significantly different when compare to control group. Conclusion : The results of this study concludes that most children experience acute pain during IV therapy and it can be reduced by age specific therapeutic intervention and by change of surrounding environment.

비보호(非保護) 좌회전(左回轉)의 간격수락(間隔受諾)과 용량(容量) 및 보정계수(補整係數)에 관한 연구 (Capacity and Saturation Flow Rate of Permissive Left-Turn Lane: in case for the Exclusive Use of Permissive Left-Turn Movements)

  • 비보호좌회전이 가능한 차선을 비보호좌회전 교통만 이용하게 되는 경우는 3가지가 있다. 이 경우에는 lane grouping 때 비보호좌회전과 직진이 같은 차선군에 포함될 수 없기 때문에 비보호좌회전을 직진과 분리하여 별도의 포화교통량과 좌회전 보정계수를 구한다. 따라서 비보호좌회전 교차로의 용량분석시 이와 같은 경우를 판별해 내기 위해서는 그 임계값(threshold)역활을 하는 비보호좌회전의 용량을 알아야 한다. 또 이 용량으로부터 비보호좌회전의 포화교통량과 보정계수를 바로 구할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 이 용량은 비보호좌회전 운영방식의 타당성을 검토하는 일차적인 기준으로 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구는 비보호좌회전의 용량에 결정적인 영향을 주는 임계차간시간과 좌회전 평균 최소 차두시간을 현장측정 자료를 이용하여 구하고, 이를 이론적인 모형에 적용시켜 비보호좌회전의 용량을 구했으며, 이로부터 이 3가지 경우에 대한 포화교통량과 좌회전 보정계수를 구하는 방법을 제시했다.
