The purpose of this study is to identify the species and to date the coffin woods that were excavated at a tomb (husband and wife) in Hopyungri, Namyngju, Korea. Twenty-three wood specimens of the two coffins were analyzed for identifying their species. All coffin woods were Pinus spp. (hard pine). 'Sabs'(ritual utensils that prevent demon) were made from Tilia spy. Tree-ring dating proved that the husband's coffin was made from the wood which was cut around 1620 and the wife's one at a little earlier period.

To integrate the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations numerically in multiply-connected flow regions, the vorticity-stream function formulation is used. The steady stream function value at the surface of the multibody, initially unknown, has been determined interactively by introducing a line integral which requires the single-valuedness of pressure at each interaction step. This procedure is relatively simpler and more efficient than the primitive variable formulation which requires much more computing time and shows poor convergence. Three doubly-connected flow problems are defined and numerically analyzed by the present method. The results have been compared either with earlier existing ones or with the experimental interferograms to demon-strate the validity of the presented method.

Recently, to assure the integrity of a structural components such as piping pressure vessels and thinning structure, Lamb wave inspection technique has been used in material evaluation. It is very important to select the optimal Lamb wave mode and to analyze the signal accurately because of its unique dispersion properties grnerating several modes within the speci-men. It this study, the feasibility of material evaluation applications using wavelet analysis of Lamb wave has been veir-fied experimentally. These results show as follows; 1)dispersion characteristic of each mode in dispersion curve is demon-strated that A0 mode propagating material surface is useful mode having the lest energy loss and not sensitive to surface condition. 2) it can be detected even the micro defect ($1\times2mm$) fabricated in ultrasonic probe flaw distance (290mm) to axis direction. 3) the wavelet transform which is called "time-frequency analysis" shows the Lamb wave propagation due to the change of materials characterization can be evaluated at each frequency and experimental group velocity of Lamb wave agrees quite well with that of simulated dispersion curve.ion curve.

In this study the vibration behavior of the stiffened double cylinder was experimently analyzed. Due to the complex structure of the double cylinder the outside cylinder frequency responses to the exciting forces applied on various posi-tions were analyzed by using spectrum analyzer in conjunction with an accelerometer and the natural frequencies were obtained. The technique of time-averaged holographic interferometry is applied to study the vibration characteristics of outside cylinder with stiffening T frame. The experimental data showed that the T frame had salient effect of damping on the testing structure at most of resonances. however the experimental results also revealed interesting phenomenon. In addition it has been successfully demon-started that optical method such as holographic interferometry is well suited for the identification of mode shapes. They can give us a whole-field non-contact measurement instead of the point-wise measurement by accelerometer in classical modal testing.

The purpose of this paper is to be studied the Devil's types and the special effect makeup's techniques expressed on horror movies. As the theoretical background, the researcher inquired the origin of Satan, Demon and Devil, and the shapes and meanings portrayed in the religion, philosophy art and literature. Also classified the Devil's types of the movies, and examined the factors, techniques and aesthetic characteristics of special effect makeup for each of them. The results are as follows. 1. The Devil's types are the Werewolf, the Zombie and the Vampire. The Werewolf is a kind of Devil that changes into a wolf when the full moon rises. It requires animatronics, rubber body suits, furs and fangs for special makeup effects. The Zombie is a dead body that the exorcist restored with a narcotic drug, and it nibbles on human's brain and flesh. So it needs decayed or pale skins, scars, bald heads, non-focus eyes and false teeth for making this character. The Vampire is a bloodsucking ghost. Therefore, it uses fangs, evil eyes, rubber body suits and dropping blood for special effect makeup. 2. They expresses Sadism, Masquerade and Cruelty as the aesthetic characteristics of the Devil's special effect makeup.

Intrusion detection techniques based on program behavior can detect potential intrusions against systems by analyzing system calls made by demon programs or root-privileged programs and building program profiles. But there is a drawback : large profiles must be built for each program. In this paper, we apply $X^2$ distance-based multivariate analysis to profiling program behavior and detecting abnormal behavior in order to reduce profiles. Experiment results show that profiles are relatively small and the detection rate is significant.

In this paper, we have designed a Home Networking System using an embedded linux board. The system based on the World-Wide-Web is composed of three parts - a Server, a Client and a Simulator. The Home Networking Server is built in an embedded board using an embedded linux kernel. A web-server and Home Networking Server Seryice Demon programming with a Jaya-Language is included in the board. Clients can connect to the server board using a web-browser in the desktop computer, PDA or any other machines which include a web-browser. For this purpose, we made the client program using a Java-Applet. So, the clients who connect to the server for the control of the applications, download the class-file and execute the client-program in the web-browser. So, the clients don't need any other programs to control the applications from a remote place. The size of server board is very small (86.3$\times$74mm), which makes it very useful not only for the Home-Networking-System but also in many other fields, e.g., embedded robot control system, etc. Using an embedded board instead of a desktop computer is good for a simple network environment and it occupies only a small space to make the system.

At a specific juncture in industrial development, animation emerges as a product imbued with discernible features characteristic of the mechanical replication era. Through the integration of technology, it continually gives rise to postmodern cultural traits. Notably, the trajectories of postmodernism in China and Western Europe exhibit divergence. Following the reform and opening up, both postmodernism and modernism found acceptance and became interwoven. Chinese animated films, influenced by postmodernism, actively challenge traditional animation norms, exemplifying postmodern characteristics such as deconstruction, intertextuality, indeterminacy, collage, and diversity. This article endeavors to delve into the discourse surrounding postmodernism in both Western and Chinese contexts. It aims to scrutinize the manifestation of postmodern features, particularly with regard to ethnic elements, traditional mythological texts, and gender representations in Chinese animated films. Consequently, it becomes imperative to contemplate the affirmative adaptation and independent development of postmodernism within the unique Chinese milieu. Building upon an analysis of noteworthy traditional animated film genres and developmental trends in China, this study focuses on animated films from the 21st century, specifically Monkey King: Hero is Back, Big Fish & Begonia, Dahufa, White Snake and Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child. The paper seeks to explore the overarching characteristics of postmodernity reflected in the linguistic environment of postmodernism in China.

Papillomaviruses infect a wide variety of animals, including humans. The human papillomavirus (HPV), in particular, is one of the most common causes of sexually transmitted disease. More than 200 types of HPV have been identified by DNA sequence data, and 85 HPV genotypes have been well char­acterized to date. HPV can infect the basal epithelial cells of the skin or inner tissue linings, and are, accordingly, categorized as either cutaneous or mucosal type. HPV is associated with a panoply of clin­ical conditions, ranging from innocuous lesions to cervical cancer. In the early 1980s, studies first reported a link between cervical cancer and genital HPV infection. Genital HPV infections are now rec­ognized to be a major risk factor in at least $95\%$ of cervical cancers. 30 different HPV genotypes have been identified as causative of sexually transmitted diseases, most of which induce lesions in the cervix, vagina, vulva, penis, and anus, as the result of sexual contact. There is also direct evidence demon­strating that at least four of these genotypes are prerequisite factors in cervical cancer. The main aim of this review was to evaluate the current literature regarding the pathovirology, diagnostics, vaccines, therapy, risk groups, and further therapeutic directions for HPV infections. In addition, we reviewed the current status of HPV infections in South Korean women, as evidenced by our data.

The purpose of this study is to be inquired social and cultural significance of the Grotesque phenomenon in the late 1990's make-up, as well as its experimentalism and avantgardism. The Grotesque is the aesthetic concept, which is composed of ambivalent structure of humor and horror, interest and disgust through join of heterogenous factors, distortion, extreme and overstatement in the patterns and materials of make-up. The Grotesque in the modern make-up is represented in the make-up advertisements and collections. In this paper, the author classified the Grotesque phenomenon with the Kitsch, the Machine, the Animal and the Devil, focused on heterogenous factors. The results are as follows. 1. The Kitsch in the make-up uses not cosmetics but imitations, ready-made goods, and ordinary materials. It expresses modern culture's laziness through shocking self-expression. 2. The Machine in the make-up means silver or white color's make-up, and represents cyber period's arrival through contrary irony, loss of the human value and the personifications of machine. At the same time, it is understood as the curing of human alinetion. 3. The Animal in the make-up utilizes the wild animal's horn, the reptiles'sputum, and the legend's animal. It points out a human false virtual image, and overturns make-up's traditional aesthetic concept. 4. The Devil in the make-up shows vampire's cuspid, demon's horn, artificial nail, and black color's make-up. It raises social irrationality and discrepancy of capitalism, and expresses paradoxically the nature of human life. The Devil in the make-up expresses the creator's innovation, anxiety of fin-de-siecle, and simultaneously criticizes and cures confused reality. It shows also avantgarde implementation of dissolution of traditional aesthetic concept and acceptance ugliness.
