진공증착법을 이용한 PVDF 유기박막의 제조와 전기전도현상 (The Fabrication of PVDF Organic Thin Films by Physical Vapor Deposition Method and Their Electrical Conductivity Phenomena)

  • In this study, the PVDF organic thin film was fabricated by the physical vapor deposition method to be dry-process. The distance of heat source and substrate was 5[cm] and the temperature of substrate was 30[.deg. C], when the pressure had reached 2.0 x 10$^{-5}$ [Torr], the temperature of heat source was reached to 285[.deg. C] to heat at 6-8[.deg. C/min] rate, the shutter was opened and deposition was started. TG-DTA(Thermogravimetric-Differential Thermal Analysis) spectrum of PVDF pellets showed that endothermic peak arose at 170[.deg. C] and exothermic peak at 524[.deg. C], but that of thin PVDF film showed that endothermic peak arose at 145[.deg. C] and exothermic peak at 443[.deg C]. The current density was increased linearly with increasing voltage but increased nonlinearly with higher electric field than 250[kV/cm] and activation energy was about 0.667[eV] at the temperature of 30-90[.deg. C].

유동층 연소로 내에서 수평전열관의 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (Heat Transfer Characteristics of a Horizontal Fin Tube in a Fluidized Bed Combustor)

  • The objective of this study is to get the basic data for the development of fluidized bed combustor. For this purpose, various rake angles(.theta.=20.deg., 25.deg., 30.deg., 35.deg.) of finned tubes and a smooth tube were installed horizontally in the fluidized bed combustor of 410*250mm. The effect of fluidized bed temperature, superficial velocity in bed, size of bed materials, rake angle of finned tubes on the heat transfer coefficient was experimentally investigated. The following results were obtained. (1) Under the fluidized bed temperature(750.deg. C-900.deg. C), and the gas velocity in bed(1.1-2.8m/sec), The highest heat transfer coefficient was measured with the rake angle of finned tubes was .theta.=25.deg. and .theta.=35.deg. for the average fluidized material particle size of 1.22mm and 1.54mm, respectively. Generally, the heat transfer coefficient of finned tubes is 1.4 to 2.4 times larger than that of smooth tubes. (2) The size of bed materials influences the rake angle of finned tubes which can have the highest heat transfer coefficient. As the temperature in bed gets higher, the effect of the rake angle of finned tubes on the heat transfer coefficient becomes greater.

슬롯결합구조를 갖는 이동통신 기지국용 마이크로스트립 위상배열 안테나의 설계 (A design of the microstrip phased array antenna with the slot-coupled structure for the base station of mobile communication)

  • In this paper, the microstrip phased array antennas with coupling-slots for the base station of mobile communication is proposed and anlyzed with accurate analysis method which is based on both reciprocity principle and full-wave analysis. The basis functions used for the numerical analysis are determined depending upon the accuracy, convergence properties of the solution, and the computation time. The patch uses 3 EB mode and the slot uses IPWS mode. The designed phased array antenna has 8 slot-coupled microstrip patch array elements and the beam scanning capability is obtained by using the 4-bit PIN-diode phase shifters as switching devices which are consisted of the loaded line phase shifters for 30.deg. and 60.deg. and the reflection type phase shifters for 90.deg. and 180.deg. repectively. The 4-bits phase shifters which aremade by connecting each phase shifter have about 2.deg.-3.deg. phase errors and their insertion loss are about 3dB for each phase state. The fabricated 8-element phased array antenna with 4-bits phase shifters provides 12.deg.-14.deg. beamwidths depending on the scanning angle and is capable of scanning its beam to .+-.45.deg. with 9.deg. intervals, and the gain 12dBi. The overall results show that the slot-coupled phased array antenna has great advantages of wideband, high gain and reduced spurious radiation. Also, the antenna can be made small and thin. Furthermore, the scanning property of this antenna allows for its application in several areas, such as mobile communication system and PCS.

CFRP 사교적층판의 충격손상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Impact-Induced Damage in CFRP Angle-ply Laminates)

  • 본 연구에서는 CFRP 적층재를 구조재료로 사용할 경우 우수한 인장강도를 갖 지만, 충격하중에 취약한 특성을 갖기 때문에 구조안정성에 관한 큰 문제의 하나로 충 격손상을 받은 적층판의 잔류 압축강도가 현저히 저하되는 것이 문제점으로 지적되어 왔다.특히, 충격손상에 의한 압축강도의 저하는 인장강도보다 압축강도에 중점을 두는 항공기의 강도설계에서 중요한 문제가 되므로, 저속충격에 의한 복합재료 구조체 의 충격파괴의 문제를 잘 이해하는 것이 요구된다. 지금까지의 연구에 의하면 CFRP 복합적층재의 손상은 주로 층간박리현상과 손상역의 크기변화를 실험적으로 고찰하였 다.

  • 본 논문에서는 복합 적층판의 이론적 충격 응답을 통한 충격 응력 및 충격파 전파를 해석하기 위하여 이질, 이방성 판에 전단 변형을 고려한 Whitney와 Pagano의 이론에 기초를 두고 정적 접촉법칙과 연계한 동적 유한요소해석(FEA)을 하여, 이 중 충격 접촉력에 관하여는 각각 [0。/45。/0。/-45。/0。]$_{2s}$와 [90。/45。/90。/-45。/90。]$_{2s}$의 두 적층 형태를 가지는 흑연/에폭시와 유리/ 에폭시 복합 재료에 대한 강구에 의한 충격 해석을 하여, Yang의 식에 의한 최대 접촉력과 비교 검토하였고, 다음 변형율 파형을 파동 전파(wave propagation) 이론에 의해 비교 검토하므로써 본 이론해석의 타당성을 입증하였고, 재료 및 적층 형태에 따른 충격 응답, 충격 응력 및 충격파 전파 특성에 대하여 연구하였다.하였다.

Campylobacter jejuni에서 고온충격 단백질의 합성과 내열성 (Synthesis and thermotolerance of heat shock proteins in campylobacter jejuni)

  • The heat shock responses of Campylobacter jejuni were studied by examination of their survival rates and synthesis of heat shocd proteins. When C. jejuni cells were treated at the sublethal temperatures of 48.deg.C for 30 minutes, most of the cells maintained their viabilities and synthesized the heat shock proteins of 90, 73, and 66 kD in molecular weight. By the method of two-dimensional electrophoresis, the heat shock proteins of C. jejuni were identified to be Hsp90, Hsp73, and Hsp66. During the heat shock at 48.deg.C, the heat shock proteins were induced from about 5 minutes after the heat shock treatment. Their synthesis was continued upto 30 minutes, but remarkably retarded after 50 minutes. When C. jejune cells were heat shocked at 51.deg.C for 30 minutes, the survival rates of the cells were decreased by about $10^{3}$ fold and synthesis of heat shock proteins and normal proteins was also generally retarded. The cells exposed to 55.deg.C for 30 minutes died off by more than $10^{5}$ cells and the new protein synthesis was not observed. But when C. jejuni cells were heat-shocked at the sublethal temperature of 48.deg.C for 15 to 20 minutes and then were exposed at the lethal temperature of 55.deg.C for 30 minutes, their viabilities were higher than those exposed at 55.deg.C for 30 minutes without pre-heat shock at 48.deg.C. Therefore, the heat shock proteins synthesized at the sublethal temperature of 48.deg.C in C. jejuni were thought to be responsible for thermotolerance. However, when C. jejuni cells heat-shocked at various ranges of sublethal and lethal temperatures were placed back to the optimum temperature of 42.deg.C, the multiplication patterns of the cells pretreated at different temperatures were not much different each other.

  • 본 연구에서는 고온기기의 부재로 널리 사용되는 304스테인리스강을 사용하여 기기의 사용조건을 고려한 538.deg. C(1000.deg. F), 593.deg. C(1100.deg. F)및 650.deg. C(1200.deg. F)의 세가지 온도레벨하의 대기중에서 크리이프-피로시험을 실시하여 작은 인공표면결함으로부터 발생.성장하는 표면균열의 성장거동을 조사 연구하였다. 또한 주파수의 영향을 조사 하기 위하여 538.deg. C에서 고온피로시험을 실시하여 이 결과를 크리이프 및 크리이프피로 시험의 결과와 비교.검토하였다.

Purification and characterization of an extracellular protease from culture filtrate of salmonella schttmulleri

  • An extracellular protease of Salmonella schottmulleri was purified from culture filtrate by using 0-75% ammonium sulfate precipitation, DEAE Sepharose Fast Flow ion exchange chromatography, Ultrogel HA chromatography and Sephacryl S-200 HR molecular sieve chromatography. To measure enzyme activity, synthetic dipeptide substrate (CBZ-arg-arg-AFC) with low molecular weight was employed as substrate. The molecular weight of the purified enzyme was approximately 80 kDa when determined by gel filtration on Sephacryl S-200 HR and 73 kDa when estimated by SDS-PAGE. The isoelectric point was 5.45. The activity of the purified enzyme was inhibited by metal chelating agesnts such as EDTA and 1.10-phenanthroline. The divalent cations, such as Ca$\^$2+/, Zn$\^$2+/, Fe$\^$2+/, Mg$\^$2+/ enhanced its activity. These results suggested that it was a metalloprotease. It had a narrow pH optimum of 6.5-7.5 with a maximum at pH 7.0 and a temperature optimum of 40.deg.C. It was stable at least for 1 week at 40.deg.C and maintained its activity for 24 hours at 50.deg.C, but it was rapidly inactivated at 65.deg.C. This protease was shown to be sensitive to sodium 50.deg.C, but it was rapidly inactivated at 65.deg.C.   • Acoustic emission (AE) of a high strength steel (SCM-4) was measured under stress corrosion cracking(SCC) test at a constant displacement in 3.5% artificial NaCl solution of 18.deg.C, 45.deg.C and 60.deg.C, respectively. The results are as follows; During the SCC test, AE is detected and AE count rate is approximately proportional to the crack growth rate. Even though crack is not propagated macroscopically, AE is detected. The crack growth rate of SCC and the AE count rate are higher for the solution of higher temperature, 45.deg.C and 60.deg.C, than for the solution of lower temperature, 18.deg.C. In the early stage of SCC, AE total counts mostly depend on crack growth. In the later stage, however, AE mostly depends on the film fracture and the dissolution of anode.
