  • This study identifies the comparison of Technical specification and Characteristics of DC Protection Relay(ETCPU200) used in DC Distribution System in Korea. ETCPU200 has completed Field Test and approved its capability by finding out causes of recent operations through lately developed digital DC protection relay in parallel operation at Maebong-Substation, Sangbong-Substation, Nakseongdae-Substation, Euljirosaga-Substation, Jegi-Substation and Chongyangri T/P area. It also examines additional features for efficient System Analysis and Operations.

  • This paper presents the design of DC protection system of Light Rail Transit system. Especially, the composition and interface for DC Switchgear. Digital protection unit and sort of protection algorithm are focused. DC Switchgear (DCSWGR) for LRT testline consist of 5 different panels with peculiar characteristics are examined. Also Basic actuation principle for DC fault select relay (50F), Line Test Device (LTD), DC Overcurrent(OCR) relay are introduced.

  • This paper presents the design of DC protection Relay for Light Rail Transit system, which is very beginning product in domestic. Protection Function characteristic, principle and I/O interface including interlock signal has been introduced. The protection algorithm and EMC characteristics have been certified by official organization and Type test report has been introduced. Up to date in domestic, the test procedure for DC Protection relay hasn't been established so the new method and test equipment based on IEC regulations are proposed. Finally the product will be proved based on field test.

  • DC traction power system is operated ungrounded so that minimize the stray current. Because the stray current is still present, a rail potential is increased. The ground faults in the DC railway systems are usually detected by a potential relay(64P). Moreover, if the rail potential goes high in the ordinary operating state because of the traction load, the potential relay would be maloperated. A presented protective relaying algorithm that can identify exactly the faulted region and can distinguish a ground fault from the potential rising of the rail is presented in this paper. This paper presents simulation technique that is very similar to the real operation situation using PSCAD/EMTDC.

  • 지하철에서는 직류보호계전시스템으로 정한시과전류계전기(76i)와 저전압계전기(Mid-point Relay, 80A)를 사용하여 직류급전계통을 보호하고 있었으나, 최근에는 보호방식으로 고장선택계전기(50F)를 주로 적용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 서울메트로 3 4호선에 적용하여 사용하고 있는 76i/80A와 50F 각각의 직류급전계통 보호방식을 비교하기 위해 단락고장계산식을 이용하여 분석하였으며 PSCAD/EMTDC 과도프로그램을 통한 시뮬레이션으로 연구하였다. 분석한 결과 80A는 고장저항의 크기에 따라 동작여부가 달라지고, 50F의 경우 고장저항의 크기나 선로의 길이가 변하더라도 일정시간이 지나면 설정값에 따라 동작함을 확인하였다. 이에 향후 직류보호계전시스템의 운영에 있어 합리적인 적용을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문은 경전철 급전시스템을 위한 직류보호제어장치의 개발 및 적용에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 직류급전계통의 단락특성을 이론과 실측자료를 이용하여 분석하였으며, 사고전류를 검출하는 기법의 개선안을 제시하여 직류 보호계전장치를 개발하였다 특히 계전기능 중 가장 중요한 고장선택계전기(50F)의 계전알고리즘을 개선하여 개발하였고, 이를 경북 경산 경전철 시험선에 설치하여 운전 중이다. 직류 보호계전기를 현장에 적용하기 위하여 그동안 불분명하고 명확하지 않았던 규정 및 규격을 개발과정에서 명확하게 정리하였다. 또한 특성시험과 EMC시험 규정 중 일부항목에 대해 시험방법이 제정되어있지 않아 IEC 규정의 분석을 통하여 객관적이고 타당한 시험회로, 방법 및 평가방법을 제안하였다.

직류옵셋제거필터에 의한 거리계전기법의 성능 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Enhancement of Distance Relaying by DC Offset Elimination Filter)

  • Distance relay is widely used for the protection of long transmission line. Most of distance relay used to calculate line impedance by measuring voltage and current using DFT. So if there is a computation error due to the influence of phasor by DC offset component, due to excessive vibration by measuring line impedance, overreach or underreach can be occurs, and then abnormal and non-operation of distance relay can be issue. It is very important to implement the robust distance relaying that is not affected by DC offset component. This paper describes an enhanced distance relaying based on the DC offset elimination filter to minimize the effects of DC offset on a long transmission line. The proposed DC offset elimination filter has not need any prior information. The phase angle delay of the proposed DC offset filter did not occurred and the gain error was not found. The enhanced distance relay uses fault current as well as residual current. The behavior of the proposed distance relaying using off-line simulation has been verified using data about several fault conditions generated by the ATP simulation software.

±750[V] 직류배전망의 고장전류 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fault Current Calculation of ±750[V] DC Distribution Grid)

  • In recent years, the proliferation of DER (distributed energy resources) is progressing rapidly. In particular, research on LVDC distribution grid with various advantages has begun. In order to commercialize this LVDC grid, direct current protection method should be established by analysis of DC faults. Recently, the development of HSCB (high-speed circuit breaker) for new ${\pm}750[V]$ LVDC grid has been researched. This paper deals with the calculation of the maximum short-circuit fault current of the HSCB as a part of the development of HSCB for the LVDC distribution grid. First, modeling using PSCAD was carried out for PV array with BESS on the Gochang Power Test Center system. Next, to calculate the rated capacity of HSCB, fault currents were calculated and the characteristics were analyzed through fault simulations. Thus, this study results can help to establish short-circuit capacity calculation of HSCB and protection plan for DC protection relay system.

  • 최근 서울메트로 1,2호선 변전설비는 장기 사용한 부분부터 년차적으로 설비를 교체하고 있다. DC 급전계통 보호계전기도 76I, 50, 85, 64P 4개정도에 불과했으나 76I, 76D, DDL-I, DDL-T(Imin), 85, 64P 등 다양한 종류의 디지털 보호계전기로 세분화되었으며, 각종 이벤트 및 사고파형 등을 기록 저장하여 모든 동작사항을 검토 분석할 수 있도록 기능이 다양화 되어있다. 그러나 보호설비를 본래 보호목적에 맞게 사용하지 못하여 장애가 확대된 사례가 있어 본 논문에서는 보호계전기 종류별 보호목적, 방향, 설정치 등을 검토하여 향후 DC 차단기 보호계전기 운영에 활용함으로서 사고확대률 방지하고, 직류 보호계전시스템 운영에 있어 합리적인 방법을 제시하고자 한다.
