L-PLA or D-PLA was synthesized in bulk at $140^{\circ}C$ by ring opening polymerization(ROP) of L-lactide or D-lactide as a monomer using tin(II) octoate and lauryl alcohol as a catalyst and an initiator with changing the amounts of catalyst(0.25~1.0 wt%) and initiator(0.l~0.5 wt%). And stereocomplex-PLA was prepared by L-PLA/D-PLA having a wide range of molecular weight(30000~90000 g/mol) and L-PLA/D-PLA blends having different mixing ratio ($X_D$). The melting temperature. thermal degradation temperature and thermal stability of stereocomplex-PLA were higher than those of homopolymers(L-PLA, D-PLA). We supposed that these improvements arose from a strong interaction between L-PLA and D-PLA. The improved mechanical properties and changes in morphology of LPLA/D-PLA blends were compared to those of homopolymers(L-PLA, D-PLA).
Using FDM 3D printing, yarn shape and composition were modeled and 3D printed with PLA and TPU filaments currently used for apparel. Based on this, mechanical characteristics were measured to determine 3D printing yarn according to type of filaments in the 3D printed output and deformation and recovery characteristics due to differences in structure type. As a result of examining tensile and shear characteristics of PLA and TPU 3D printing compiles, TPU overall was measured with significantly lower stress than PLA. This is due to high elasticity of TPU's character, revealing that it has better flexibility than PLA. In addition, during deformation due to external forces, the more freedom between the head and foot parts of the loop, and the lower the force associated with each other, the more flexible it is. TPU revealed that it was easier to tension and recovery from tensile deformation than PLA, indicating potential for clothing materials using 3D printing. If high-molecular materials, such as PLA flexibility, it is likely to provide some flexibility through development of styles, including degree of freedom in modeling. Based on this, we provide basic data for developing 3D printing textures that can be satisfied with textile for apparel.

[ $Poly(_{D}-ldactide)\;(_{D}-PLA)$ ] was synthesized to have low molecular weight for miscible blends with a high molecular $poly(_{L}-lactide)\;(_{L} -PLA)$. The blends were prepared by dissolving the two components of $_{L}-PLA\;and\;_{D}-PLA\;(w/w)$ in chloroform (l00/0, 90/10, 70/30, 50/50, 30/70, 0/100). The miscibility of these miscible blends was characterized by gel-permeation chromatography (GPC), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and the selective degradability by enzymes (proteinase K, subtilisin and $\alpha$-chymotrypsin). The coating efficiency of PLA blends onto paper was determined and the degrading activity cellulases by on these blends. The miscibility, coating efficiency and enzymatic degradability of these blends were decreased according to increasing of $_{D}-PLA$ blending part. Such results were attributed to the extent of coating application of PLA, with better miscibility (compatibility), coating efficiency and degradability due to a higher $_{L}-PLA$ content.

In this study, the 3D printer filaments were manufactured by using the representative eco-friendly material, bio-composite. Bio-composites were made by incorporating biodegradable polymer of poly lactic acid (PLA) as the matrix and bamboo flour as the filler. The bamboos which were used in this experiment are Phyllostachys bambusoides, Phyllostachys nigra var. henonis, and Phyllostachys pubescen grown in Damyang district in Korea, and the mixture ratio between bamboo flour and PLA were set 10/90, 20/80, 30/70 by weight standard. Also, tensile strength of bamboo/PLA bio-composites manufactured with three kinds of bamboo were estimated and compared. In this result, the highest estimated bio-composites was Phyllostachys bambusoides flour/PLA which mixture ratio was 10/90, that is, it was the most suitable bamboo/PLA bio-composites for manufacturing 3D printer filament.
Instead of lead, we intend to develop shielding materials for morphological implementation by mixing barium sulfate, an eco-friendly substance, and PLA filament, a 3D printer material. The environmental substance, barium sulfate powder and PLA filament, a 3D printer material, were used, and the shielding was made with a 3D printer after being fused into an extruder to mix the powder powder of barium sulfate with PLA. To check the mixing ratio of barium sulfate powder and PLA filament, the mixing input was analyzed, and the absorption dose by thickness according to barium sulfate content was obtained to check the shielding function of the mixed shielding. In the evaluation of the mixture of sulfate barium powder particles and PLA filaments, it was mixed in the most appropriate proportion when the content was 30% in the apparent and electron microscopic observation photographs. In the absorption dose results by thickness according to barium sulfate content, the difference between the content of 0% and the content of each % was greatest at 0.5 cm in thickness and the lowest dose value at 3 cm in thickness when the barium content was 30%. In addition, as the barium content began to increase at 30%, the absorbed dose value increased again. Instead of conventional lead, barium sulfate, an eco-friendly substance, could be mixed with PLA, a filament material, to create morphological shielding. Based on this study, it is expected that the mixing ratio of barium to the mixture is the most appropriate 30%, and will be used as the basis for the implementation of morphological shielding using 3D printers in the diagnosis and treatment section.
In this study, based on PLA, we analyzed the Hounsfield Unit (HU) of materials containing 20% each of aluminum, wood, copper, carbon, and marble, and tried to analyze how they affect the image. A cylindrical phantom of 5×30×30 ㎣ (thickness×diameter×height) was fabricated using a entry-level 3D printer. The kV was changed to 80, 100 and 120, and the mAs was changed to 100 and 200 mAs, and the phantom in the center of the table was cross-scanned under a total of six conditions. A circular ROI was set using image J program and the quantification value of the material part HU and the quantification value of the peripheral part CNR were obtained. The HU average of the material part increased in the order of [PLA - wood 20%], [PLA - marble 20%], [PLA - carbon 20%], [PLA 100%], [PLA - aluminum 20%], [PLA - copper 20%] (p<0.05) a negative correlation was confirmed with the HU by increasing kV. It was confirmed that the CNR value in the peripheral area increased in the order of [PLA - marble 20%], [PLA - copper 20%], [PLA - carbon 20%], [PLA - wood 20%], [PLA - aluminum 20%], and [PLA - 100%] (p<0.05). Human organs with similar HU values for each material are [PLA - copper 20%] compact bone, [PLA - aluminum 20%] cancellous bone, [PLA 100%] coagulated blood, [PLA - carbon 20%] and [PLA - marble 20%] liver, muscle, spleen and [PLA - wood 20%] had similar values to fat. In addition, we confirmed the blur phenomenon that blurs the image around the filament with all materials, and confirmed that [PLA 100%] especially has the most blur around the filament. Therefore, it is considered desirable to reflect the HU value of the target organ and consider cloudiness around the phantom when selecting materials for medical phantom fabrication, and this research can provide basic data.

Recently, the demand for eco-friendly parts has increased to reduce materials and parts that use fossil fuels. This has exacerbated the increase of energy prices and the enforcement of regulations by environmental agencies. Currently, polylactic acid (PLA) is a solution, as a common and eco-friendly material. PLA is a biodegradable material that can replace traditional petrochemical polymers. PLA has great advantages since it is resistant to cracking and shrinkage. When it is manufactured, there are few harmful byproducts. Improvement in the brittleness characteristics is another important task to be monitored throughout the production of industrial parts. Improvement in the brittleness property of products lowers the tensile strength and tensile elasticity modulus of the parts. This study focused on the mechanical properties of 3D-printed PLA parts. Tensile tests are performed while varying the infill print parameters to evaluate the applicability of PLA in several industrial areas.
Among the 4th Industrial Revolution technologies, evaluated bolus applicability through dose assesment according to the materials of 3D printing technology. Dose assesment was using MCNPX which was applied Monte Carlo method and 3D print materials were ABS, PC and PLA. Thus, the thickness with the same effect as the bolus 10 mm was found to be ABS 10 mm, PC 9 mm and PLA 9 mm for the 6 MeV electron. For 6 MV X-ray, ABS 11 mm, PC 10 mm and PLA 9 mm were shown. This study showed that tissue equivalent materials made from 3D printer materials can replace bolus.

Polylactic acid or polylactide (PLA) is a biodegradable thermoplastic that can be produced from renewable material to create various components for industrial purposes. In 3D printing technology, PLA is used due to its good mechanical, electrical, printing properties, environmentally friendly and non-toxic properties. However, the physical properties and excellent electrical insulation properties of PLA have limited its application. In this study, with the carbon black (CB) as filler added into PLA, the lattice spacing and morphology were investigated by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM), respectively. The physical properties of PLA-carbon composite were evaluated by using tensile test, shore D hardness test and density and voids measurement. Impedance test was conducted to investigate the electrical properties of PLA-Carbon composites. The results demonstrate that the inclusion of carbon black as filler enhances the physical properties of the PLA-carbon composites, including tensile properties, hardness, and density. The addition of carbon black also leads to improved electrical conductivity of the composites. Better enhancement toward the electrical properties of PLA-carbon composites is observed with 1wt% of carbon black in N774 grade. The N550 grade with 2wt% of carbon black shows better improvement in the physical properties of PLA-carbon composites, achieving 10.686 MPa in tensile testing, 43.330 in shore D hardness test, and a density of 1.200 g/cm3 in density measurement. The findings suggest that PLA-carbon composites have the potential for enhanced performance in various industrial applications, particularly in sectors requiring improved physical and electrical properties.
As an inhibitor of phosphatidylcholine-specific phospholipase C (PC-PLC), D609 has been widely used to explain the role of PC-PLC in various signal transduction pathways. This study shows that D609 inhibits group IV cytosolic phospholipase $A_2$ ($cPLA_2$), but neither secretory $PLA_2$ nor a $Ca^{2+}$-dependent $PLA_2$. Dixon plot analysis shows a mixed pattern of noncompetitive and uncompetitive inhibition with $K_i=86.25{\mu}M$ for the $cPLA_2$ purified from bovine spleen. D609 also time- and dose-dependently reduces the release of arachidonic acid from a $Ca^{2+}$- ionophore A23187-stimulated MDCK cells. In the AA release experiment, $IC_{50}$ of D609 was ${\sim375}{\mu}M$, suggesting that this reagent may not enter the cells easily. The present study indicates that the inhibitory effects of D609 on various cellular responses may be partially attributable to the inhibition of $cPLA_2$.
