  • In this study, an E-band low-noise amplifier (LNA) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) has been designed using silicon-germanium 130-nm bipolar complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor technology to suppress unwanted signal gain outside operating frequencies and improve the signal gain and noise figures at operating frequencies. The proposed impedance-controllable filter has series (Rs) and parallel (Rp) resistors instead of a conventional inductor-capacitor (L-C) filter without any resistor in an interstage matching circuit. Using the impedance-controllable filter instead of the conventional L-C filter, the unwanted high signal gains of the designed E-band LNA at frequencies of 54 GHz to 57 GHz are suppressed by 8 dB to 12 dB from 24 dB to 26 dB to 12 dB to 18 dB. The small-signal gain S21 at the operating frequencies of 70 GHz to 95 GHz are only decreased by 1.4 dB to 2.4 dB from 21.6 dB to 25.4 dB to 19.2 dB to 24.0 dB. The fabricated E-band LNA MMIC with the proposed filter has a measured S21 of 16 dB to 21 dB, input matching (S11) of -14 dB to -5 dB, and output matching (S22) of -19 dB to -4 dB at E-band operating frequencies of 70 GHz to 95 GHz.

  • All d-homogeneous $C^*$-algebras $T^d$ over $\prod^{s_4}S^4{\times}\prod^{s_2}S^2{\times}\prod^{s_3}S^3{\times}\prod^{s_1}S^1$ are constructed. It is shown that $T^d$ are strongly Morita equivalent to $C(\prod^{s_4}S^4{\times}\prod^{s_2}S^2{\times}\prod^{s_3}S^3{\times}\prod^{s_1}S^1)$.

  • We report a high gain D-band(110 - 140 GHz) MMIC drive amplifier based on $0.1{\mu}m$ InGaAs/InAlAs/GaAs metamorphic HEMT technology. The amplifier shows an excellent $S_{21}$ gain characteristic greater than 10 dB in a millimeterwave frequency of 110 GHz, Also the amplifier has good reflection characteristics of a $S_{11}$ of -3.5 dB and a $S_{22}$ of -6.5 dB at 110 GHz, respectively The high performances of the MMIC drive amplifier is mainly attributed to the characteristics of the MHEMTs exhibiting a maximum transconductance of 760 mS/mm, a current gain cut-off frequency of 195 GHz and a maximum oscillation frequency of 391 GHz.

  • Electrophoretic analysis was performed to determine the interspecific genetic relationships of the genus Raja collected in Korea waters. We confirmed 5 species [Raja (Okamejei) meerdervoortii Bleeker, R.(O).acutispina Ishiyama, R.(O) kenojei Muller et Henle, Raja (Dipturus) kwangtungensis Chu, and R.(D.) pulchra Liu] inhabting in Korea. As results of starch gel electrophoresis, 24 genetic loci were obtained from 13 enzymic and non-enzymic proteins, and allele frequencies of each locus were calculated . Even thought their various dorsal color patterns, the mean genetic similarity among 4 conspecific populations of R.(O) kenojei showed highly close genetic relationships (S=0.966) R.(O) kenojei and R.(D) kwangtungensis which belong to different subgenus , revealed subspecific level of differentiation (S=0.829). R. (Diptuuus ) kwangtungensis was genetically much closer to Raja(Okamejei) species than to Raja (Dipturus) species group. R.(O) acutispina and R.(D) kwangtungensis were unrecorded species to Korea.

  • Stability of spheroplasts prepared from Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71, a thermophilic strain and Zygosaccharomyces rouxii SR-S, an osmotolerant strain were studied. Stability of spheroplast from Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71 was highest in 0.8M KCI and 1.0M sorbitol ; that from Zygosaccharomyces rouxii SR-S was highest in 0.4M KCI and mannitol and that from both strains was less than 10% for sonic oscillation at 20Kc for 60 sec. In centrifugation at 10000 x g for 10 min., stability of spheroplast from Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71 was 93% and that from Zygosaccharomyces rouxii SR-S was 84%. Breakage of spheroplast from Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71 was 99% and that from Zygosaccharomyces rouxii SR-S was 55% for UV irradiation with 15W UV lamp at a distance of 20 cm for 60 min.

  • This study aimed to analyze the microbiological composition and sensory characterization of fermented sausage using strains isolated from Kimchi (GK1, Pediococcus pentosaceus SMFM2016-GK1; NK3, P. pentosaceus SMFM2016-NK3), Doenjang (D1, Debaryomyces hansenii SMFM2021-D1), and spontaneously fermented sausage (S8, D. hansenii SMFM2021-S8; S6, Penicillium nalgiovense SMFM2021-S6). The control was commercial starter culture. Nine treatments were applied [GD (GK1+D1), GS (GK1+S8), GDS (GK1+D1+S8), ND (NK3+D1), NS (NK3+S8), NDS (NK3+D1+S8), GND (GK1+NK3+D1), GNS (GK1+NK3+S8), and GNDS (GK1+NK3+D1+S8)] by mixing lactic acid bacteria and yeast, and S6 was sprayed. The microbial composition of fermented sausage was analyzed [aerobic bacteria (AC), Lactobacillus spp. (LABC), Staphylococcus spp. (STPC), and yeast and mold (YMC)], and pH and electronic nose and tongue measurements were taken. The AC, LABC, STPC, and YMC values of the control and treatment groups tended to increase during fermentation (p>0.05). The STPC values of the GD, GS, ND, and GDS groups were similar to that of the control on day 3. The pH of the control on day 3 was significantly lower than that of the GD, ND, and GND groups (p<0.05). Higher levels of 4-methylpentanol, 2-furanmethanol, and propyl nonanoate, which provide a "fermented" flavor, were detected in the GD group compared to in the control and other treatment groups. GD and ND groups showed higher umami values than the control and other treatment groups. Therefore, it is expected that GD can be valuable as a starter culture unique to Korea when manufacturing fermented sausage.

  • This paper proposes the adaptive suboptimal iterative algorithm using threshold to reduce system complexity in the PTS\`s. Performance of the proposed adaptive suboptimal iteration algorithm is represented in terms of iteration number and CDF. In the case of the number of sub-block is 4, the 10-3 PAPR of the proposed method and P S improved this by 0.4dB compared to Cimini\`s. And the complexity of the proposed method was reduced to nearly 22% for the PTS\`s and 44% for the Cimini\`s for 8dB threshold. For the 8 sub-blocks, the 10$\^$-3/ PAPR of the proposed method reduced by 0.7dB compared to PTS\`s, but improved by 0.4dB compared to Cimini\`s. And the complexity of the proposed method was reduced to nearly 2.4% for the PTS\`s and 39% for the Cimini\`s.
