다중 경로 채널에서의 MB-OFDM UWB 시스템 링크 마진 분석 (An analysis of link margin for MB-OFDM UWB system in multi-path channel)

  • 본 논문은 구현에 사용된 동기알고리즘에 의한 구현손실과 다중경로 페이딩을 고려하여 MB-OFDM UWB(Multi-Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Ultra Wide Band) 시스템 수신기 링크 마진 (link margin)을 시뮬레이션을 통해 정량적으로 분석하였다. MB-OFDM UWB시스템은 CP(Cyclic Prefix)대신에 ZP(Zero padding)를 사용하고 심볼마다 3개 주파수 대역을 호핑(Hopping)하는 TFI(Time Frequency Interleaving)모드와 하나의 주파수 대역을 선택하여 신호를 전송하는 FFI(Fixed Frequency Interleaving)모드를 지원한다. 이러한 MB-OFDM UWB 시스템의 특징은 기존 연속적인 신호를 전송하는 OFDM 시스템들에 비해 평균전력은 동일하지만 유효송신출력 측면에서 더 높은 전력 방사를 가능하게 하는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서 수행한 시뮬레이션 결과를 이용한 링크마진 계산 결과 200Mbps 모드에서 4m 서비스 반경을 보장하기 위해서는 TFI 모드 구현이 필수적이며, 480Mbps모드의 실질적인 서비스 반경은 가시거리가 확보되는 다중경로 환경에서 1-2m정도 일 것으로 분석되었다.

  • 대표적인 D2D (Device-to-Device) 통신 시스템 중 하나인 Qualcomm사의 FlashLinQ 시스템에서는 링크 스케줄링 과정을 낮은 복잡도로 실현할 수 있도록 하기 위해 단일-톤 (single-tone) 신호를 이용한 우선순위 및 SIR (Signal-to-Interference power Ratio) 기반의 링크 스케줄링 기법을 수행한다. 하지만 다중 경로 채널 환경에서는 주파수 선택적 페이딩의 영향으로 단일-톤 위치에서와 실제 데이터가 전송되는 전체 대역에서의 수신 전력 간 오차가 발생할 수 있으며, 이는 공평성 측면에서 문제가 될 뿐만 아니라 셀 전체 전송률 상의 손실을 일으킬 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 CAZAC (Constant Amplitude Zero Auto-Correlation) 시퀀스의 상관 특성을 이용해 전체 대역에 대한 SIR 에 가까운 값을 획득할 수 있는 링크 스케줄링 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 전체 대역을 다수의 sub-block 으로 구분하고 각 sub-block 마다 링크의 우선순위에 해당하는 순환 오프셋 (cyclic offset) 을 적용한 CAZAC 시퀀스를 전 대역에 걸쳐 전송하여, 수신 신호와 참조 신호간의 순환 상호 상관 연산 (cyclic cross-correlation)을 통해 전체 대역에 대한 SIR 에 근접한 값을 획득할 수 있다.

  • The core aim of this paper is to empirically scrutinize a strength characteristic and ductility of the beam-column frame of reinforced with steel subjected to the cyclic lateral load. First and foremost, I the author embarks upon making four prototypes vis-$\grave{a}$-vis this research. Through this endeavour, the author has analysed cyclic behavior, fracture shape, ductility and energy dissipation of the normal beam-column frame and a beam-column frame of reinforced with steel. In addition, the survey has revealed the exact stress transfer path and the destructive mechanism in order to how much a beam-column frame of reinforced with steel has resistance to earthquake regarding all types of building, as well as school construction. To get the correct data, the author has compared the normal beam-column frame and three types of the beam-column frame of reinforced with steel following these works, the characteristic of cyclic behavior, destructive mechanism, ductility, and Energy dissipation of normal beam-column frame and a beam-column frame of reinforced with steel have been examined clearly.

음영 지역을 위한 주기적 프리픽스 없는 주파수 효율적인 주파수 공간 블록 부호화 중계기 전송 시스템 (Spectral Efficient SF Block Coded Relay Transmission System without Cyclic Prefix for a Shadow Area)

  • 본 논문에서는 중계기를 통해 다중 경로가 확보된 음영 지역에서 주파수 공간 블록 부호를 적용한 주파수 효율적인 SC-FDMA(Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiple Access) 전송 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 시스템은 주기적 프리픽스 사용에 따른 주파수 효율 감소를 방지하기 위하여 주기적 프리픽스를 사용하지 않는다. 주기적 프리픽스를 사용하지 않음에 따라 훼손되는 채널 주기성을 중계기와 수신국의 수신기에서 복원함으로써, 주기적 프리픽스를 사용하지 않는 제안된 시스템의 성능이 충분한 주기적 프리픽스를 사용하는 기존 시스템의 성능과 거의 동일하여 시스템의 주파수 효율이 향상되는 것을 실험을 통해 확인할 수 있다.

Analysis of hysteresis rule of energy-saving block and invisible multi-ribbed frame composite wall

  • The energy-saving block and invisible multi-ribbed frame composite wall (EBIMFCW) is a new type of load-bearing wall. The study of this paper focus on it is hysteresis rule under horizontal cyclic loading. Firstly, based on the experimental data of the twelve specimens under horizontal cyclic loading, the influence of two important parameters of axial compression ratio and shear-span ratio on the restoring force model was analyzed. Secondly, a tetra-linear restoring force model considering four feature points and the degradation law of unloading stiffness was established by combining theoretical analysis and regression analysis of experimental data, and the theoretical formula of the peak load of the EBIMFCW was derived. Finally, the hysteretic path of the restoring force model was determined by analyzing the hysteresis characteristics of the typical hysteresis loop. The results show that the curves calculated by the tetra-linear restoring force model in this paper agree well with the experimental curves, especially the calculated values of the peak load of the wall are very close to the experimental values, which can provide a reference for the elastic-plastic analysis of the EBIMFCW.

Influence of glide path size and operating kinetics on time to reach working length and fracture resistance of Twisted File adaptive and Endostar E3 nickel-titanium file systems

  • Objectives: This study investigated the influence of glide path size and operating kinetics on the time to reach the working length and the fracture resistance of Twisted File (TF) and Endostar E3 files. Materials and Methods: A total of 120 mandibular single-rooted premolars were selected. Two methods of kinetic motion (TF adaptive and continuous rotary motion) and file systems (TF and Endostar E3) were employed. The files were used in root canals prepared to apical glide path sizes of 15, 20, and 25. The time taken to reach the working length and the number of canals used before the instrument deformed or fractured were noted. Fractured instruments were examined with scanning electron microscopy. Results: The TF system took significantly more time to reach the working length than the Endostar E3 system. Both systems required significantly more time to reach the working length at the size 15 glide path than at sizes 20 and 25. A greater number of TFs than Endostar E3 files exhibited deformation, and a higher incidence of instrument deformation was observed in adaptive than in continuous rotary motion; more deformation was also observed with the size 15 glide path. One TF was fractured while undergoing adaptive motion. Conclusions: No significant difference was observed between continuous rotary and adaptive motion. The TF system and adaptive motion were associated with a higher incidence of deformation and fracture. Apical glide path sizes of 20 and 25 required significantly less time to reach the working length than size 15.

Inelastic behavior of standard and retrofitted rectangular hollow sectioned struts -II: Experimental study

  • This paper is a presentation of an experimental study about the elastic-partly plastic behavior of rectangular hollow steel pinned struts subjected to static cyclic axial loading and the evaluation of the compressive strength of retrofitted crooked struts. Retrofitting is achieved by welding stiffening plates along the webs of damaged struts. The material follows a quasi-kinematic hardening hysteresis path as observed from coupon tests. Test results are compared to those of an analytical model showing a good agreement for both standard and retrofitted struts. The comparison of different stiffener plate dimensions shows that more efficient strengthening is achieved by using long thin stiffeners rather than short thick ones.

  • This paper proposes a method for the global optimization of redundancy over the whole task period for a kinematically redundant robot. The necessary conditions based on the calculus of variations for an integral type cost criterion result in a second-order differential equation. For a cyclic task, the periodic boundary conditions due to conservativity requirements are discussed. We refine the two-point boundary value problem to an initial value adjustment problem and suggest a numerical search method for providing the conservative global optimal solution using the gradient projection method. Since the initial joint velocity is parameterized with the number of the redundancy, we only search the parameter value in the space of as many dimensions as the number of degrees of redundancy. We show through numerical examples that multiple nonhomotopic extremal solutions and the generality of the proposed method by considering the dynamics of a robot.

Nylon 66의 무비례 하중에 대한 과응력 모델 (An Overstress Model for Non-proportional Loading of Nylon 66)

  • Non-proportional loading tests of Nylon 66 at room temperature exhibit path dependent behavior and plasticity-relaxation interactions. The uniaxial formulation of the viscoplasticity theory based on overstress (VBO), which has been used to reproduce the nonlinear strain rate sensitivity, relaxation, significant recovery and cyclic softening behaviors of Nylon 66, is extended to three-dimensions to predict the response in strain-controlled, comer-path tests. VBO consists of a flow law that is easily written for either the stress or the strain as the independent variable. The flow law depends on the overstress, the difference between the stress and the equilibrium stress that is a state variable in VBO. The evolution law of the equilibrium stress in turn contains two additional state variables, the kinematic stress and the isotropic stress. The simulations show that the constitutive model is competent at modeling the deformation behavior of Nylon 66 and other solid polymers.

  • This paper present a performance evaluation method for Timed Place Petri Nets modeled by Live-and-Bounded Circuits (LB-circuits) through a bottom-up approach. The method can handle the case for the nets having common resources(CR). The target system is divided into the sub-systems by disconnecting the common Transition-Transition-Path(TTP) or Place-Place-Path (PPP) between sub-systems. The common PPP pattern is classified into Parallel Common Resource (PCR) and Sequential Common Resource (SCR) in detail for handling common resources. We evaluate the performance of each divided sub-system, and calculate the sub-systems affect on the performance of the whole system. The facts are generalized as a theorem. The developed theorem are applied into the performance evaluation of an automated assembly system shown in an example. All the results are verified by simulation.
