  • This study examined students' satisfaction with cyber education focused on the sections of consumer education in the University. The sample of this study was 94 students taking a 'Consumer Policy & Education' cyber course. The data were collected using structured questionnaires and analysed by descriptive statistics, frequency, percent, mean, SD, t-test and one-way ANOVA with Duncan test. The results of this study were as follows: First, the reason students took a cyber course was that it was easy to manage the course under "self-control". Second, they studied an average 1-2 hours for a one unit lecture at home on weekdays between 9 p.m. and midnight. Third, the students' satisfaction with cyber education showed a slight preference for the web based environment as opposed to the online lessons. Fourth, the biggest problem with taking a cyber course was that the students found it difficult to concentrate well on the lecture.

  • The purpose of this study was to analysis about the relationship among Cyber Home Learning System(CHLS) circumstance, learner construct, learning satisfaction in elementary school students. Base on the selected data which was gathered from Chungbuk & Deajeon elementary schools, Structural Equation Modeling was used to examine the relationship between factors. The main results of the research were as follow : First, CHLS circumstance factor was more effective on the CHLS satisfaction than CHLS learner construct. In CHLS circumstance factor, 'service' factor was more influential variable. Second, there is high correlation between CHLS circumstance factor and CHLS learner construct. In CHLS satisfaction, 'contents and design' factor was more influential variable. Third, the model fit, = 624.945 (p<.001), RMR .020, GFI .929, AGFI .878, NFI .927, CFI .930, RMSEA .102 was relatively satisfied with the standard using structural equation model. As based on this results, CHLS in elementary education needs elaborate circumstance for the effective achievement.

  • The main purpose of this research was to explore the factors that encourage people to use the cyber counseling in resolving difficulties in their lives. Another purpose of this research was to investigate whether cyber counseling really helps people feel better. For this study, a structured survey questionnaire was distributed both on- and off-line, and 429 respondents returned completed survey forms. The major statistical methods used for data analysis were frequency, factor analysis, 1-test and ANOVA. The results of this study revealed that variables such as gender, age, occupation, internet skills, time of internet use, personality, and the awareness of cyber counseling made a difference in people's use of cyber counseling whenever they felt they needed it. However, cyber counseling seemed to fail to increase feelings of well being in people's lives. The implications of these findings are discussed in this article.

This study used questionnaire and judgment sampling to survey consumers who have bought product in internet shopping malls. The respondents were 329 women from their twenties to fifties. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, regression and Duncan test. The results were as follows: 1. The evaluative criteria of cyber stores were product characteristics of the store, convenience and trust, and promotion and information provision. 2. There were significant differences in relationship commitment among groups according to differences of cyber store evaluation criteria. 3. The dimensions of relationship commitment were affective commitment, calculus commitment and normative commitment. 4. Relationship commitment was found to have a significant effect on the customer's future behavioral intention. Especially, affective commitment was shown to have a significant effect on the future behavioral intention.

  • The rapid development of Information technology and the Internet has brought about a new phase like building cyber communities in Apartment residential space. This study empirically considers the possibility and limit of cyber communities based on apartment residential space through analysing apartment Internet home pages. The analysing results show us the fact that apartment cyber communities are less satisfied than theoretical expectation. However, they have some possibilities as on-line communities. First of all, the most important factor is off-line community activities in realizing the possibility of cyber community at least in apartment residential space.

  • This study tried to propose an optimal instruction-learning model for the cyber home learning system2.0 through grounded theory. In-depth interviews were conducted to investigate causes of underachievement and the causes were categorized according to common concepts. A total of 25 causes of underachievement could be grouped into four categories and eight sub-categories, as a result. Underachievers, then, participated in the lessons utilizing the cyber home learning system2.0 and their cognitive change process about learning was analyzed from reflectional journals and in-depth interviews with a teacher. It was found that underachievers were participated in learning by passing through 5 processes; adaptation to the cyber home learning system2.0, basic knowledge learning, task implementing, rounds of group discussions, feedbacks and evaluation. Based on analysis of these five processes, this study proposed a conditional matrix for the cyber home learning system 2.0 as the most personalized model for underachieving students.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors that influence elementary school learners' participation in cyber home study, and to suggest possible solutions to problem of the participation rates. To identify the factors, we analyzed the literature and developed a questionnaire consisting of 8 possible factors and 33 items. Data gathered from 429 elementary school learners were analyzed in a logistic regression model, which was utilized to determine the probability of the learner's participation in cyber home study because of any of the identified variables. We studied the following variables: problem from learning motivation & attitude, burden from computer, difficulty of new learning method, problem from instructional design, difficulty of interaction, problem from screen design, and problem from learning environment. The results indicated that two factors were important: burden from computer, difficulty of new learning method. That is to say, having a low level of burden of computer and difficulty of new learning method helps improve the rate of elementary school learners' participation in cyber home study.

  • This study investigated the self wrapping made possible through the anonymity of cuber-space. According to the analysis of the data, which were collected from the online for 2 days, 2,168 respondents were grouped into three types: Those maintaining the strong sense of identity achievement), 53.8%, those experiencing confusion(identity diffusion), 38.3%, and those losing the sense of identity(foreclosure), 7.9%. Among the general respondents, it was reported that the case of sex wrapping was 11.4%, that of occupation, 40.1%, and that of marital status, 60.6%. Specially 11.4% of the sex wrapper took heterogeneous gender identity, while 7% performed dual sex roles. The rate of gender wrapping of female respondents was higher than that of male ones, which reflects female respondents' longing for male sex. Self-disparity between cyber-space and virtual-space was related with the type of self-identity and gender-identity. The rate of self-disparity between cuber-space and virtual-space was 9%. If it occurred continuously, it may cause individual mental division and maladjustment.

  • While there have been lots of researches on the use of cyber money in online business area, few studies suggested the results on relationship between individual characteristics, including demographic and cyber money usage characteristics, and quality factors of cyber money. Therefore, this study investigates which quality factors of cyber money are perceived to be important, and examines whether the perception of cyber money quality will vary by individual characteristics such as gender, age, cyber money usage frequency, and cyber money usage volume. The results show, based on the statistical analyses using survey questionnaire for cyber money users living in the Seoul metropolitan area, that there are differences in perception of required quality factors of cyber money among the respondents grouped by gender, age, and usage frequency of cyber money. This study could propose a variety of implications for future researches on the use of cyber money in online business areas of home and abroad.
