  • The role of customers has changed from that of passive users to value co-creators. Therefore, it is important to understand how customer learning takes place and how it affects customer experiences with services and products. However, while past studies insist on the importance of the issues in designing customer experiences, they do not empirically address these issues. This study investigates the support processes for customer learning, and their impact on customer learning, which in turn influences customer experience. To test the hypotheses, we employed the survey method. Target informants were the actual users of Apple iPods. A total of 200 survey questionnaires were distributed and 146 were collected. Among these, seven erroneous responses were excluded, leaving 139 usable ones. The proposed model was empirically analyzed using the Covariance-based SEM (Structural Equation Modelling) technique. The findings of this study suggest that, among the three support processes in customer learning, learning-by-doing support and learning-by-investment support positively affect customer learning, which influences customer experience. This study contributes to the literature by identifying different types of support for different kinds of customer learning processes and by empirically testing the impact of the support for the process on customer learning, and in turn, its impact on customer experience.

The current thesis was based on the questionnaire survey conducted between January and March 2006 for seven food service companies. 240 questionnaires were distributed to each of the selected restaurants, from which a total of 200 questionnaires were collected. The results of this study were analyzed with the frequency analysis, correlative analysis and regression analysis using the SPSS 12.0 package program. The results of the test of hypotheses can be summarized as follows. We find that, as for food safety-oriented policy factors, there is a significant relationship among the survey factors including customer satisfaction, cost reduction, customer prior occupation, accident prevention and suitable relation. The current analysis exhibits favorable results in the food safety-oriented policy and the survey factors. Thus, foodservice management needs to employ food safety-oriented policy aggressively.

  • The impacts of electric service interruption to customers depend on customer and interruption characteristics. Customer characteristics include demographic aspects (residential type, and number of household members) and power supply types whereas interruption characteristics include frequency, duration, time, and day of interruption. Accordingly evaluation of these customer interruption costs is very complicated and subjective. For residential customers, customer survey method seems most appropriate because interruption impact to residential customers is intangible. In other. words, the value of housework or lost leisure due to interruption is individual. Accordingly, this paper selected the customer survey method to assess the interruption costs for residential customers.

  • This paper is an exploratory study to improve customer satisfaction survey for resolving practical problems. It is natural phenomenon that, as the level of customer satisfaction index increases, the ratio of satisfied customers increases too. However, the effectiveness of practical application of customer satisfaction survey for improvement of customer satisfaction decreases due to its structural limitation on its data analysis system. In order to cope with these problems, we compares the three satisfied customer reclassification methods such as attribute complex scores, satisfaction/dissatisfaction dimension and latent class analysis models. The case study results show that satisfied customer reclassification methods have merits and demerits and are expected to play the role as the groundwork for the revitalization of customer satisfaction survey as well as improving customer satisfaction management.

Interview survey was performed with structured Questionnaire for the entire people, 923 persons who experienced medical service utilization during one year before survey on time, september, 2004. In comparison of customer royalties by sociodemographic characteristics, the older group showed the higher level of cognitive and attitudinal royalties significantly. Education and income level also, showed negative relationship with cognitive, attitudinal and behavioral loyalties significantly. The more being a female and a visitor at oriental medicine clinic, the higher level of attitudinal loyalties. Customer satisfaction was a critical explaining variable for cognitive, attitudinal and behavioral loyalties. In multiple regression analysis, some sociodemographic characteristics showed significant relation with customer loyalties and customer satisfaction was the strongest relating variable to customer loyalties. In conclusion, multidimensional approach for customer loyalty is useful for understanding customer behaviors comprehensively. Future studies should focus on developing the more specific and valid measurement tools for customer loyalty in medical service.

  • Recently it is difficult to draw an improvement for customer satisfaction because the ratio of satisfied customers increases in customer satisfaction survey. In addition, the effectiveness of practical application of customer satisfaction survey decreases due to its constitution limitation on its data analysis. In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to develop a novel research to identify the strategy meanings and find dissatisfied factors of satisfied customers using the satisfied customers' reclassification. This study focuses on the satisfied customer segmentation based on Latent Class Analysis (LCA). The case study with high-speed internet service customers show that the satisfied customers are divided into three subgroups using LCA and we draw meaning results such as satisfaction and dissatisfaction factors through analyzing each group. This study is expected to play the role as the groundwork for the revitalization of customer satisfaction survey as well as improving customer satisfaction management.
