단상 부스트 PFC 컨버터용 가상 DQ 동기좌표계 기반 고성능 전류제어 알고리즘 (High Performance Current Control Algorithm Based on Virtual DQ Synchronous Reference Frame for Single-Phase Boost PFC Converter)

  • This study proposes a high-performance current control algorithm for a diode-bridge-type single-phase boost power factor correction (PFC) converter. The conventional asynchronous single-phase current controllers that directly control AC-type current tend to be accompanied by steady-state errors due to their poor dynamic characteristics for the transient-state, which can be attributed to bandwidth limitations and phase delays. In the proposed algorithm, an ideal current control with minimal phase delays and steady-state errors can be achieved by using a virtual DQ synchronous reference frame and by controlling the synchronous reference frame excluding the frequency component in the single-phase system. The performance of the conventional asynchronous single-phase current controller is compared with that of the proposed algorithm through simulation and experiments, and the results have confirmed the superiority of the latter.

  • This paper presents a circuit to generate the current reference signal for single-phase harmonic elemination systems. Some of conventional methods for the current reference signal generation based on neural network algorithms. It requires complex circuitry to implement. the simplest method is to use analog filters. but it is difficult to obtain good current reference signals. So, we propose the harmonic detection circuit using GIC(Generalized Impedance Converter) for the purpose of low cost ,simple circuitry and high performance, Simulation and experimental results verify that the proposed circuit has better harmonic detection performance than conventional circuit.

  • In this paper, a novel control scheme compensating source voltage unbalance and harmonic currents for the combined system of series active and shunt passive power filter is proposed, where no low/high-pass filters are used in deriving the reference voltage for compensation. The phase angle and the reference voltages compensating for harmonic current and unbalanced voltage are derived from the positive sequence component of the unbalanced voltage set, which is simply obtained by using digital all-pass filters. In order to remove the phase delay in generating the reference voltage for compensation, the reference of 5th and 7th harmonic components is predicted one-sampling ahead. The validity of the proposed scheme has been verified for 3[kVA] proto-type active power filter system.

  • This paper discusses the design of a novel synchronous reference frame (SRF) method that can extract the reference compensating current for single-phase shunt active power filters (APFs). Unlike previous SRF studies, the proposed method has an innovative feature that does not require a fictitious current signal. Other key features of the proposed strategy include frequency-independent operation, accurate reference current extraction, and relatively fast transient response. The effectiveness of the proposed method is investigated by conducting a detailed mathematical analysis. Results of the analysis confirm the superior performance of the suggested approach. Theoretical evaluations are confirmed by the experimental results.

  • This paper presents the control algorithm of single-phase hybrid active power filter for the compensation of harmonic current components in nonlinear R-L load with passive active Power filters. To construct two phase system, an imaginary second phase was made. In this proposed method, the new signal which is the delayed through the filtering by the phase-delay property of low-pass filter is used as the secondary phase. Because two-phases have the different phase, the instantaneous calculation of harmonic current is possible. In this paper, a reference voltage is created by multiplying the coefficient k by the compensation current using the rotating reference frame synchronized with the source-frequency, not applying to instantaneous reactive power theory which has been used with the existing fixed reference frames In order to verify the validities of the proposed control methods, experiments are carried out with the prototypes of single-phase hybrid active power filter.

고속 혼성모드 집적회로를 위한 온-칩 CMOS 전류 및 전압 레퍼런스 회로 (On-Chip Full CMOS Current and Voltage References for High-Speed Mixed-Mode Circuits)

  • 본 논문에서는 고속 혼성모드 집적회로를 위한 온-칩(on-chip) CMOS 전류 및 전압 레퍼런스 회로를 제안한다. 제안하는 전류 레퍼런스 회로는 기존의 전류 레퍼런스 회로에서 부정확한 전류 값을 조정하기 위해 주로 사용되는 아날로그 보정 기법과는 달리 디지털 영역에서의 보정 기법을 사용한다. 또한, 제안하는 전압 레퍼런스 회로는 고속으로 동작하는 혼성모드 집적회로의 출력단에서 발생할 수 있는 고주파수의 잡음 성분을 최소한으로 줄이기 위해 고주파 신호 성분에 대해 작은 출력 저항을 볼 수 있는 구조의 레퍼런스 전압 구동회로를 사용한다. 이 레퍼런스 전압 구동회로는 전력 소모 및 칩 면적을 최소화하기 위해서 저 전력의 증폭기와 크기가 작은 온-칩 캐패시터를 사용하여 구현하였다. 제안하는 레퍼런스 회로는 0.18 um n-well CMOS 공정으로 설계 및 제작되었으며, 250 um x 200 um의 면적을 차지한다. 칩 제작 및 측정결과, 제안하는 전류 및 전압 레퍼런스 회로는 공급 전압 및 온도의 변화에 대해서 각각 2.59 %/V와 48 ppm/℃의 변화율을 보인다.

소프트웨어 PLL 기반 소형 고속 BLDCM의 속도 제어 (Speed Control of High Speed Miniature BLDCM Based on Software PLL)

  • 본 논문은 홀센서를 사용하는 고속 소형 BLDCM의 속도제어를 위해 PLL 방식을 적용하였다. 제안된 방식은 기준펄스 신호와 홀센서 신호와의 위상차를 이용하는 PLL 기반의 속도제어 기법으로, 별도의 속도 계산이 요구되지 않고, 지령전류는 직접 두 신호의 위상차에 의해 결정된다. 전류 지령은 두 펄스 신호의 위상차에 따라서, 전동기의 속도를 일정하게 유지하기 위하여 변화된다. 제안된 방식은 매우 간단하지만 효과적인 속도 제어를 구현할 수 있다. 또한, 부드러운 토크를 발생하기 위하여 지령 전류는 가속 및 감속 패턴을 따라 변동하도록 설계되었다. 제안된 방식은 50W, 40,000[rpm]급의 소형 고속 BLDCM에 적용하여 실험하였다.

  • For the traceability of high current measuring sensors of high power testing department II(HPTD II) in Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute(KERI), additional comparison tests with reference test object were performed repeatedly. The first intercomparison has been carried out between the reference shunt for Asia and high current shunt of HPTD II in 2013. This paper compares the test results of the calibration in 2014 with them in 2015. The assigned new scale factor of high current sensors will be applied to high power tests in HPTD II until the next high current intercomparison.

  • 히스테리시스 전류 제어방식은 원리와 구조가 간단하여 널리 사용되었으나, 전류 오차 허용 밴드폭이 너무 작거나, 전원 전압이 상대적으로 너무 큰 경우 등에는 스위칭 주파수가 급격히 증가하여 많은 열을 발생할 수 있는 등의 단점이 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 단상 전류제어에서 0 모드를 추가하고, 기준 전류의 기울기를 비교하여 히스테리시스 전류 제어를 수행함으로써 대폭적인 스위칭 주파수 감소와 안정적인 전류제어가 가능하게 하였다. 또한 이를 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 타당성을 확인하였다.

Electrical Leakage Levels Estimated from Luminescence and Photovoltaic Properties under Photoexcitation for GaN-based Light-emitting Diodes

  • The electrical leakage levels of GaN-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) containing leakage paths are estimated using photoluminescence (PL) and photovoltaic properties under photoexcitation conditions. The PL intensity and open-circuit voltage (VOC) decrease because of carrier leakages depending on photoexcitation conditions when compared with reference values for typical LED chips without leakage paths. Changes of photovoltage-photocurrent characteristics and PL intensity due to carrier leakage are employed to assess the leakage current levels of LEDs with leakage paths. The current corresponding to the reduced VOC of an LED with leakage from the photovoltaic curve of a reference LED without leakage is matched with the leakage current calculated using the PL intensity reduction ratio and short-circuit current of the LED with leakage. The current needed to increase the voltage for an LED with a leakage under photoexcitation from VOC of the LED up to VOC of a reference LED without a leakage is identical to the additional current needed for optical turn-on of the LED with a leakage. The leakage current level estimated using the PL and photovoltaic properties under photoexcitation is consistent with the leakage level measured from the voltage-current characteristic obtained under current injection conditions.
