Surgical Treatment of Lumbosacral Stenosis Caused by Bacterial Discospondylitis in a Great Dane Dog

  • A 6-year-old, 26 kg spayed female Great Dane presented with back pain and hindlimb paresis. On neurological examination, severe pain was detected on the lumbosacral joint displaying nerve-root signature. The animal presented with lower motor neuron paresis with normal deep pain perception. Radiographic examination revealed narrowing of the lumbosacral joint disc space with endplate destructive lysis. Magnetic resonance imaging of the lumbosacral joint revealed a cauda equina compression, especially on the left. On T2 and T1-weighted images, a mass sized 1 × 1 cm was identified laterally to the left of the lumbosacral joint with hyperintense signal. The lumbosacral joint was stabilized by applying the dorsal distraction fixation-fusion technique and dorsal laminectomy. The soft tissue mass was removed, and a bacterial culture was performed. Coagulase-negative Staphylococcus spp. were detected and discospondylitis was treated with clindamycin for 6 weeks. The patient showed clinical improvement without pain and hindlimb paresis until 6 months follow-up postoperatively.

  • The wave of the information age gradually accelerates, and fusion analysis solutions that can utilize these knowledge data according to accumulation of various forms of big data such as large capacity texts, sounds, movies and the like are increasing, Reduction in the cost of storing data accordingly, development of social network service (SNS), etc. resulted in quantitative qualitative expansion of data. Such a situation makes possible utilization of data which was not trying to be existing, and the potential value and influence of the data are increasing. Research is being actively made to present future-oriented education systems by applying these fusion analysis systems to the improvement of the educational system. In this research, we conducted a big data analysis on Twitter, analyzed the natural language of the data and frequency analysis of the word, quantitative measure of how domestic windows education problems and outcomes were done in it as a solution.

  • Sound Art (Sonic Art) is a branch of contemporary art that has been practiced dominantly in Europe and the Americas since the mid-20th century; and in Korea, it tends to be regarded as a multiple art field or as a subgenre of contemporary music or media art. Since the 2000s, some leading universities in North America and Europe have been opened sound art majors, producing talented people who specialize in this field or work as practical artists, yet it is still considered a non-mainstream art field. It is difficult to find schools that have opened sound arts as their major program in domestic universities. Along with the introduction of a liberal arts curriculum model and teaching methods used in the <Sound Art of Modern Society> course operated in a four-year university in South Korea, this paper discusses the possibility of using sound art as a main subject in liberal arts learning in higher education as a creative fusion liberal arts subject.

Studies on production of nuclear transplanted mouse embryos (핵이식 마우스 생산에 관한 연구)

  • The present study was carried out to investigate the best condition for nuclear-cytoplasm fusion and in vitro culture of nuclear transplanted embryos and to investigate the production of nuclear transplanted offsprings. The nuclei from 2-, 4- and 8-cell mouse embryos were transferred into enucleated 2-cell embryos, and the reconstituted embryos were submitted to direct current(DC) pulses at output voltage of 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 kV/cm for 100, 150 and $200{\mu}$ sec to induce cell fusion. 1. The culture of intact or zona cut 2-cell embryos in the medium supplemented with cytochalasin B($5{\mu}g/m{\ell}$) and colcemide($0.1{\mu}g/m{\ell}$)for 30 and 60 minutes did not affect the development to later stage. 2. The in vitro developmental rates of group A(a nucleus from one of the blastomeres was removed) and B(electrofusion of group A) were significantly lower than that of control group(p<0.01). 3. When nuclear transplanted embryos were submitted to electrofusion, the significantly higher fusion rates of 2-cell donor nuclei were achieved at the electric field strength of DC 1.5kV/cm for 100 and $150{\mu}$ sec, DC 2.0 kV/cm for $100{\sim}200{\mu}$ sec than DC 1.0 kV/cm for 100 and $150{\mu}$ sec(p<0.01). The significantly higher fusion rates of 4-cell donor nuclei were achieved at DC 2.0 kV/cm for 100 and $150{\mu}$ sec than DC 1.0kV/cm for $100{\sim}200{\mu}$ sec(p<0.01). These fusion rates in 8-cell donor nuclei were 88.7~99.3%. 4. The developmental potency to blastocyst in 2- and 4-cell donor nuclei was significantly higher in DC 1.0 and 2.0 kV/cm for $100{\sim}200{\mu}$ sec treated group and DC 2.0 kV/cm for 150 and $200{\mu}$ sec treated group (p<0.01). The developmental potency to blastocyst in 8-cell donor nuclei was significantly higher in DC 2.0 kV/cm for $100{\mu}$ sec treated group than in DC 1.0 kV/cm for $100{\mu}$ sec treated group and DC 2.0 kV/cm for 150 and $200{\mu}$ sec treated group(p<001). 5. The developmental potency to blastocyst after nuclear transplantation was significantly higher in 2-cell donor nuclei than in 8-cell donor nuclei(p<0.01). 6. The success rate of nuclear injection into enucleated 2-cell embryos was significantly higher in 2-cell donor nuclei than in 4- or 8-cell donor nuclei(p<0.01). 7. The culture time taken for the nuclear transplanted 2-cell embryos to blastocyst stage was significantly longer in 2-cell donor nuclei than in 8-cell donor nuclei(p<0.01). 8. There was no significant difference in the developmental potency of nuclear transplanted embryos within the concentration of EGF at 0 to 15 ng per $m{\ell}$ of BMOC-3 solution. 9. The production rates of offspring after transfer of nuclear transplanted embryos to recipient mouse were significantly higher in 2-cell donor nuclei than in 8-cell donor nuclei(p<0.01).

  • This study analyze whether the organizational learning culture affects the firm's dynamic capacity and whether the dynamic capacity mediates the relationship between organizational learning culture and management performance. Respectively. First, "The more organizational structure is organic, the higher the integrated relocation capacity and learning capacity. Organizations with organic organizational structures were found to have the ability to successfully adapt to external changes because there is a practice that is not tied to formal processing or procedures. Second, it can be seen that there is a positive (+) influence on the relocation capacity among the dynamic competence of the learning culture of the corporate organization. Third, both sub-factors of dynamic competence have positive (+) influence on business performance. Also, there was no mediating effect of dynamic competence related to learning culture.

  • The study aims to provide the potential for commercialization of traditional martial arts selection. First, we was reviewed by comparing the general purpose and major enterprise of the Koreataekkyon and the Korean Taekkyon Association. Second, analyzed the related results of the Business and the related papers published in the recently 3 years. Through this, I have following suggestions. A new departure from the emerging world should challenge the new paradigm beyond traditional culture and sports. To do so, one must first excavate the sports industry (startups). Second, there should be education about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship. Third, we need to establish a dedicated organization that supports business.

  • Plant regeneration has been optimized increasingly by organogenesis and somatic embryogenesis using a range of explants with tissue culture improvements focusing on factors, such as the age of the explant, genotype, media supplements and $Agrobacterium$ co-cultivation. The production of haploids and doubled haploids using microspores has accelerated the production of homozygous lines in Brassicaceae crop plants. Somatic cell fusion has facilitated the development of interspecific and intergeneric hybrids in sexually incompatible species of $Brassica$. Crop improvement using somaclonal variation has also been achieved. Transformation technologies are being exploited routinely to elucidate the gene function and contribute to the development of novel enhanced crops. The $Agrobacterium$-mediated transformation is the most widely used approach for the introduction of transgenes into Brassicaceae, and $in$ $vitro$ regeneration is a key factor in developing an efficient transformation method in plants. Although many other Brassicaceae are used as model species for improving plant regeneration and transformation systems, this paper focuses on the recent technologies used to regenerate the most important Brassicaceae crop plants.

  • The Miaos have their own peculiar and luxurious transtional culture a they have experienced repeated fusion into and resistance againt the Han Race or the chinese in their long and old history. And the traditional culture of the Miaos is abundant and diverse in several respects. Because it has taken root in foundation of their simple and native environment. it is embracing abundant and diverse contents. They largely used as the theme of patterns factual materials such as natural objects easily accessible in the natural environment. those related to marratives reflective of ethnicity, animals and plants symbolic of auspicious omen, peace, happiness and good harrest with prosperity and abundance. And they not only crossornamented natural patterns and geometrical patterns by combining them but also geometric patterns alone. It can be seen that Miaos represented patterns with exaggerated formation, overlapping and modification and the comprehensive, fomation of natural forms, abstract formation etc. Seeing the ethnic costume of Miaos investigated in these several respects by the standard of contemporary beauty it is thought that it has the infinite possibility of being used in contemporary fashion design on account of the characteristic of almost perfect costume.

  • Jazz derived from the blacks' work songs and made the frame of Jazz reaching blues and finally arrived at the recent time propagating itself as not only the blacks' music but all human being's music. This study has a purpose to suggest the Jazz image to the fashion design by examining the historical trace of Jazz which is one of popular music received by hearing sense. As for the result of the Jazz's effects by age, rhythmical beauty stressing dresses were in fashion by dance enjoying women in 1920's and dresses giving a mature atmosphere set the fashion in 1930's. in the beginning of 1990's, newly emerging Jazz was reflected to the popular culture along with the historical mode's fashion in the general society. The design's decided with two themes of Jazz Classic and Neo Fusion to modernly and naturally express the pursuit of strong color contrast which associated fast rhythm and lax image such as the counter melody of smooth Jazz. In that result, Jazz image with auditory feelings could suggest the various design motive and new idea to fashion design.

Effect of Incubation Time, Concentration of Enzyme, and 2,4-D on Isolation and Callus Formation of Protoplast from Callus of Citrus junos (遊離시간 , 酵素處理 및 2,4-D 농도가 재래 유자(Citrus junos)의 캘러스由來 原形質體 遊離 및 培養에 미치는 영향)

  • The factors affecting the isolation and culture of the protoplast of embryogenic callus, derived from immature ovule in Citrus junos, were examined. An incubation time in enzyme solution of 16 hrs was preferable for protoplast isolation. Efficient protoplast yields were obtained from the treatment of equal concentration of 0.7 M $\textrm{BH}_{3}$ to the enzyme solution containing 1.0% cellulase, 1.0% macerozyme and 0.2% pectolyase. Protoplast cultured in MT medium with 0.1 mg/L 2,4-D showed vigorous division and some of them formed callus. Induced callus was subcultured on solid MT medium but the callus showed very slow growth. The above results show the possibility to culture from protoplast fusion in Citrus genera.
