Inspired by the socio-cultural perspective on teaching and learning science, we have explored how the teacher and students interact with one another and develop meanings in science classrooms. Data came from four 10th grade science classrooms, and video recordings and verbatim transcripts of the lessons were analyzed. Focus of the analysis was on the participation structures as well as the possibility of developing the space for hybrid meaning making. The participation structures identified were mainly teacher-led, and students rarely took an active stance to initiate an opportunity for generating new meanings. However, some participation structures had the potential to develop a new discursive space in which hybrid meaning can be constructed through negotiation between participants. Implications for future research and more desirable educational practices were discussed based on the result.

The Web environment of the frontend domain is increasingly competitive to preempt the new standard of presentation layer. N-Screen, a service that enables users to seamlessly use one content in various devices in Korea, is competing for market preemption by recognizing it as a core service of the future. In the cloud computing, N-screen is a typical service type. However, most of the frontend research required for groupware in enterprise environments has been limited to responsive web design for the web and native apps for mobile. Gradually, the need for MVC design patterns is increasingly widening in enterprise environments to overcome the cultural differences of companies and to support one source multi-use strategy supporting multiple devices and development productivity. Therefore, in this study, we will analyze and design JPetStore with hybrid application design based on Spring MVC, e-government standard framework environment of next generation web standard, and provide reference model of frontend hybrid apps design in future enterprise environment.

Hybrid strains was selected by crossing between dikaryotic strain ASI 0628 (Dagul) bred from ASI 2596 (Suhan No.3) and ASI 2782(Black pileus mutant) and monokaryotic strain ASI 2344-84. The strain 84 that shown the best cultural characteristics was selected to be a new cytoplasmic hybrid variety and named as 'Chunhwashim'. The 'Chunhwashim' shown incompatibility among them forming the confrontation growth line against parental strains ASI 0628 (Dagul) and ASI 2344 (chunchu 2ho). Fruiting body produced about $161.4{\pm}4.8g$ per bottle. And also the individual generation of fruit body is multiple than chunchu2ho as 40.9. The 'Chunhwashim' was cytoplasmic hybrid included hybrid DNA bands of parental strains ASI 0628 (Dagul) and ASI 2344 (chunchu 2ho) by Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) primer, and mitochondria DNA band of monokaryotic ASI 2344 (chunchu 2ho) using mitochondria microsatellite DNA marker. This new cytoplasmic hybrid variety 'Chunhwashim' of oyster mushroom is characterized by multiple of individual generation and deeply grey color of pileus.

Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) are the most protected facilities among all critical infrastructures (CIs). In addition to physical security, cyber security becomes a significant concern for NPPs since swift digitalization and overreliance on computer-based systems in the facility operations transformed NPPs into targets for cyber/physical attacks. Despite technical competencies, humans are still the central component of a resilient NPP to develop an effective nuclear security culture. Turkey is one of the newcomers in the nuclear energy industry, and Turkish Akkuyu NPP has a unique model owned by an international consortium. Since Turkey has limited experience in nuclear energy industry, specific multinational and multicultural characteristics of Turkish Akkuyu NPP also requires further research in terms of the Facility's prospective nuclear security. Yet, the link between "national cultures" and "nuclear security" is underestimated in nuclear security studies. By relying on Hofstede's national culture framework, our research aims to address this gap and explore possible implications of cross-national cultural differences on nuclear security. To cope with security challenges in the age of hybrid threats, we propose a security management model which addresses the need for cyber-physical security integration to cultivate a robust nuclear security culture in a multicultural working environment.

Smart structures and intelligent systems play pivotal roles in numerous areas of applied sciences ranging from civil engineering to computer and communications systems engineering. Although such structures and systems have been intensively deployed in these areas, they have been, interestingly, very rarely deployed in the field of cultural heritage preservation.This paper presents one of thefirst such attempts. A new methodology is describedthat deploys smart structures andlinks them with artificial intelligence methods.These solutions are referred toas advanced hybrid engineering artefacts. By their use,important environmental factors can be monitoredin hard to access, remote or unsafe locationsby minimizing the need for human involvement. In addition toproviding safety the methodologyalso reduces costs and, most importantly,providesa new way to modelany particular micro-environment in a much more efficient way than this is possible with traditional ways. Last but not least, although themethodology has been developed for cultural heritage preservation, its application areas are much broader and it is expected that it will find its applicationin other domains like civil engineering and ecology.

Constance Fenimore Woolson is among those whom scholars have for long been trying to rediscover and add to the list of representative American writers. The primary methodology has been regionalism, based on the fact that most of her work portrays remote, exotic regions in and out of America. Still, Woolson remains obscure to general readers as well as literary critics outside a small circle of her scholarship. This essay attributes that obscurity to Woolson scholars' blind reliance on regionalism's nationalistic assumption in reading Woolson's multifaceted writing, and proposes to explore her nationally and regionally displacing view of the rigidly stereotypical and ideologically biased binary opposition between the center and the margin in postbellum America. The essay takes as an example the only story by Woolson that has never been reprinted or anthologized until very recently, "In Sloane Street," and examines why it resists the scholarly endeavor to regional categorization. The examination especially focuses on how the story exposes the Americanizing conceptualization of the region and its limits. The essay concludes with an attention to the story's ending where Woolson abruptly yet deliberately introduces a form of almanac as the main character Gertrude's mode of daily record. The attention to that uniquely hybrid genre in the American literary tradition, which encompasses the public and the private, the universal and the local, sheds light on Woolson's authorial intention to deconstruct the Manichean view of literary regionalism.

The large stone cist tomb 8501 of Lingcheng prefecture Xiaoheishigou, according to Chinese chronology, was built during the late Western Zhou period. However in this tomb not only Chinese Zhongyuan style bronze ceremonial vessels but also indigenous style bronze ceremonial vessels and instruments and hybrid bronze ceremonial vessels with a mixture of both indigenous and Chinese styles were excavated in large numbers. The bronze ceremonial vessel assemblage of Xiaoheishigou, in comparison with the decorum regulations and bronze cauldron and coffer system of the Chinese Zhongyuan region of the same time period, belong to that of the lowest status category. However, in contrast to the lowest class category tombs of the Chinese Zhongyuan region, in this tomb, with the exception of cauldrons and coffers, the remaining food and wine vessels of the assemblage match the standard of emperors and feudal rulers of vassal states. This is reinforced by the burial of musical instruments. Of the bronze ceremonial vessels of Xiaoheishigou large stone cist tomb 8501, the indigenous and hybrid styles, in consideration of manufacture technology seem to have been manufactured locally. However, the form, pattern and also the standards of the Western Zhou style bronze ceremonial vessels are identical to those of the Chinese Zhongyuan region and therefore it is clear that they were manufactured in Western Zhou. The reason for these precious ceremonial vessels which were manufactured and used in the many individual vassal states of the Chinese Zhongyuan region being buried in Xiaoheishigou, seems to have been the result of economic exchange and friendly political relations between the Xiaoheishigou and other groups rather than these vessels having been plundered by the Xiaoheishigou group. A distinct cultural sphere existed between the Upper Xiajiadian culture and Western Zhou which interacted frequently with both sides.

This study was conducted to find out the optimum cultural method for hybrid seed production of Chalok 2. Higher seed yield was obtained when KW3 was used as a seed parent (female). KW7 was shown Higher barren stalk occurrence which caused significant seed yield reduction when it was used as a seed parent (female). The ratio of female (KW3) to male (KW7) rows with 4 to 1 had higher seed yield than that of 2:1 or 3:1. In case of using KW3 toy a seed parent, KW3 was susceptible to stem and ear rotting disease. The 35th day after silking was optimal period to harvest due to higher 100-grain weight, lower rotten grain, and higher germination rate.

Postcolonialism, as a school of thought, has become enormously influential for understanding the recent phenomena of globalization. While rejecting the universalizing categories of the Enlightenment, postcolonialism has called into question the old idea of culture and identity as a transcendent regime of authenticity and purity. It has also celebrated the diasporic experiences that entail porous and hybrid cultural identities as a potential site of struggle and resistance against the dominant cultural and discursive order. It is argued, however, that postcolonial theory's emancipatory claims relating to the diversified global culture tend to be complicit with transnational capitalism that brings about global issues of material as well as cultural injustice. This article, through a thorough review of the ways the postcolonial theoretical framework has been developed and appropriated by main figures in postcolonial scholarship, seeks for a theoretical and critical strategy to grasp the complex conditions of global inequality.
