The functional non-woven fabrics have been applied in various industry fields, such as clothing, hygiene, environment, medical and so forth. The functional non-woven fabrics for wet tissue were manufactured by meltblown and wet tissue finishing processes. The wet tissue was contained the various composition substances such as Benzalkonium Chloride(0.2292g), lodo-2-propynyl Butyl carbamate(0.0069g) and 5-Chloro-2-Methyl-Isothiazolin -3-one, 2-Methyl-Isothiazolin-3-one (0.0034g) with purified water (999.76g). In this study, the functional wet tissue based on meltblown nonwovens has been applied in dairy cattle for prevention on cow mastitis. Mastitis is the most costly disease results in lost milk production, decreased milk quality, milk discard, early culling of cows, drug costs and labor costs in dairy cattle. Therefore, this study was investigated to evaluate clinical effect of the functional wet tissue in mastitis control. The results, after experiment the functional wet tissue used group, demonstrated that the infection rate, cure rate and mean somatic cell count(SCC) were significantly decreased as compared to the control group.
This paper proposes a novel method for visualizing the thickness and clearance of 3D objects in a polyhedral representation. The proposed method uses the distance field of the objects in the visualization. A parallel algorithm is developed for constructing the distance field of polyhedral objects using the GPU. The distance between a voxel and the surface polygons of the model is computed many times in the distance field construction. Similar sets of polygons are usually selected as close polygons for close voxels. By using this spatial coherence, a parallel algorithm is designed to compute the distances between a cluster of close voxels and the polygons selected by the culling operation so that the fast shared memory mechanism of the GPU can be fully utilized. The thickness/clearance of the objects is visualized by distributing points on the visible surfaces of the objects and painting them with a unique color corresponding to the thickness/clearance values at those points. A modified ray casting method is developed for computing the thickness/clearance using the distance field of the objects. A system based on these algorithms can compute the distance field of complex objects within a few minutes for most cases. After the distance field construction, thickness/clearance visualization at a near interactive rate is achieved.

We propose an efficient method for synthesizing mesh-based realistic computer-generated hologram (CGH). In a previous nonanalytic mesh-based CGH synthesis, the angular spectrum of the two-dimensional (2D) plane is calculated using the fast Fourier transform (FFT) with the same size as the resolution of the final hologram. Because FFT increases the computation time as the size of the input matrix increases, the previous method has a problem: The higher the resolution of the hologram, the greater the computational load, thereby delaying synthesis time. In this study, when calculating the angular spectrum of the 2D plane in mesh-based CGH synthesis, we propose a method to calculate the angular spectrum by defining the 2D plane with an arbitrary size smaller than the resolution of the final hologram. The resolution adjustment method reduces the computation time and can be applied to occlusion culling and texturing for the realistic effect of mesh-based CGH. We describe the principle, error analysis, application of realistic effect, and experimental results of the proposed method.

This paper delves into the symbiotic integration of coding and mathematics education, aimed at cultivating computational thinking and enriching mathematical problem-solving proficiencies. We have identified a corpus of scholarly articles (n=38) disseminated within the preceding two decades, subsequently culling a portion thereof, ultimately engendering a contemplative analysis of the extant remnants. In a swiftly evolving society driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the ascendancy of Artificial Intelligence (AI), understanding the synergy between these domains has become paramount. Mathematics education stands at the crossroads of this transformation, witnessing a profound influence of AI. This paper explores the evolving landscape of mathematical cognition propelled by AI, accentuating how AI empowers advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in the realm of big data-driven scenarios. Given this shifting paradigm, it becomes imperative to investigate and assess AI's impact on mathematics education, a pivotal endeavor in forging an education system aligned with the future. The symbiosis of AI and human cognition doesn't merely amplify AI-centric thinking but also fosters personalized cognitive processes by facilitating interaction with AI and encouraging critical contemplation of AI's algorithmic underpinnings. This necessitates a broader conception of educational tools, encompassing AI as a catalyst for mathematical cognition, transcending conventional linguistic and symbolic instruments.
Hoof health management plays an important role in dairy farms because lameness can impact productivity via decreased milk yield, reproduction rate, and increased culling rate. Regular hoof trimming can help reduce the incidence of hoof diseases in dairy cows. However, its effects on healthy dairy cows remain unclear. This study investigated the effects of hoof trimming on milk yield, rumination time, and activity in healthy Holstein and Jersey cows. Fourteen cows (7 Holstein and 7 Jersey) without lameness were used in this study. We trimmed the cows and collected data from 3 days prior to 9 days after hoof trimming. Milk yield, rumination time, and activity were measured using automatic milking and health monitoring systems. Milk yield and rumination time decreased, whereas activity level increased on the trimming day compared to the previous days in both breeds, although the difference was not significant. On the days after hoof trimming, milk yield, rumination time, and activity recovered to normal. Especially in Holstein cows, a temporary increase in milk yield was observed compared to that in the pre-trimming period. Hoof trimming did not negatively affect the productivity of dairy cows of either breed. Furthermore, productivity can temporarily increase.
This study was performed to investigate Mycoplasma (M) spp. infection status of dairy cow in South Korea. Among 8,485 bulk tank milk collected from dairy farms of the 5 areas, 26 samples (0.30%) were positive for Mycoplasma by direct culture method. The isolation rates of Mycoplasma spp. according to the areas were 0.51% in Kyonggi, 0.16% in Cholla, 0.23% in Gyoungsang, 0.12% in Chungchong, and 0.08% in Kangwon. In the species identification test by indirect immunoperoxidase test, 16 out of 26 isolates were identified as M bovis (61.53%), M bovigenitalium (23.07%), M californicum (7.69%), M alkalescens and Acholeplasma laidlawii (3.84%), respectively. The isolation rate of Mycoplasma spp. from 208 quarter milk samples in culling cows due to severe clinical mastitis was 3.0%. These Mycoplasma spp. were identified as M bovis (62.0%), M bovigenitalium (12.0%), M californicaum (12.0%), and M alkalescens (12.0%). This study shows that the bovine mammary gland infected by Mycoplasma spp. is present in some dairy farms and the routine culture test of bulk tank milk samples for Mycoplasma is needed for a high quality milk promotion services.
In order to realistically visualize such participating media as cloud, smoke, and gas, the light transport process must be physically simulated inside the media. While it is known that this process is well described physically through the volume rendering equation, it usually takes a great deal of computation time for obtaining high-precision solutions. Recently, GPU-based, fast rendering methods have been proposed for the realistic simulation of participating media, however, there still remain several problems to be resolved. In this article, we describe our rendering techniques applied to enhance the performances and features of our GPU-assisted participating media renderer, and analyze how such efforts have actually improved the renderer. The presented techniques will be effectively used in volume renderers for creating various digital contents in the special effects industries.
A total of 423 blood samples were collected (during 2009 and 2010) from all the ram holdings at three major Jordanian governmental Awassi breeding stations (Al-Khanasry, Al- Mushairfa and Al-Fjaje) and two private flocks. All blood samples were screened for the presence of mutations at the CNGA3 gene (responsible for day blindness in Awassi sheep) using RFLP-PCR. The day blindness mutation was detected in all studied flocks. The overall allele and genotype frequencies of all studied flocks of the day blindness mutation were 0.088 and 17.49%, respectively. The genotype and allele frequencies were higher in station flocks than the farmer flocks (0.121, 24.15 and 0.012, 2.32, respectively). Al-Mushairfa and Al-Khanasry stations have the highest genotype and allele frequencies for the day blindness mutation that were 27.77, 30.00% and 0.14, 0.171, respectively. The investigated farmer flocks have low percentages (0.03, 5.88% at Al-Shoubak and 0.005 and 1.05%, at Al-Karak, respectively for genotype and allele frequencies) compared with the breeding stations. Ram culling strategy was applied throughout the genotyping period in order to gradually eradicate this newly identified day blindness mutation from Jordanian Breeding station, since they annually distribute a high percentage of improved rams to farmer's flocks.
