The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between dental hygiene students' emotional intelligence, interpersonal competence, and major satisfaction, as a preliminary professional dental hygienist who can provide effective dental hygiene college life and high-quality dental medical services. Attempts were made to find ways to promote it. To collect data, a self-administered questionnaire was developed using a convenient sample method, and the questionnaire survey was conducted on dental hygiene students in Daejeon, Cheongju and Gunsan from April 8, 2019 to April 26, 2019. As a result, it was found that emotional intelligence and interpersonal competence were positively correlated, and there were positive correlation with major satisfaction, and interpersonal competence and major satisfaction were positively correlated. Emotional intelligence, interpersonal competence, and clinical practice satisfaction were the factors that influenced major satisfaction. These results indicate that individually customized counseling and educational approach are required and there is the necessity of utilizing multidimensional improvement strategy that integrate emotional intelligence and interpersonal ability training program.

Purpose: The golden ratio has been used for a long time to objectify and quantify 'beauty'. Dr. Marqurardt claims that the golden ratio can be applied in the maxillofacial field as well. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic significance of using a facial 'phi' mask for analyzing Korean faces with characteristics of Class I, II, and III malocclusion. Methods: We studied twenty five Korean celebrities' frontal facial photos (10 males, 15 females) and 90 malocclusion patients' frontal facial photos (30 patients in each malocclusion classification: Class I, Class II, and Class III). Patients who received orthodontic treatment at Samsung Medical Center were selected for this study. After superimposition of the selected facial photo and facial 'phi' mask using Adobe Photoshop CS3, the ratio of the entire facial area, mid facial area, lower facial area and horizontal and vertical lengths were measured. Results: The facial ratio in photos of Korean faces showed larger vertical and horizontal ratios than the facial 'phi' mask with golden ratio, regardless of skeletal malocclusion (entire face: 115%, lower face: 125% larger than the mask). The results of the frontal photos of Class I, II, and III malocclusion patients using facial 'phi' mask showed that the vertical length and frontal face area was more significantly influenced by the area of the lower face than the midface. This means that the lower face has larger proportions in the facial areas. Conclusion: The ratio of facial 'phi' mask is matched with the ideal facial appearance that the contemporary Korean general public is seeking. Thus, the facial 'phi' mask may be a convenient tool for esthetic analysis of Korean faces. Reducing the area of the lower face is esthetically more desirable for almost all Korean people when planning orthognathic surgery.
Multipotent spermatogonial stem cells (mSSCs), derived from uni-potent SSC, are a type of reprogrammed cells with similar characteristics to embryonic stem cells (ESCs). The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential for transgenesis of mSSC derived from outbred mice and the production of transgenic animal by the mSSC-insertion into embryo. mSSCs, established from outbred mice (ICR strain) in the previous study, were maintained and then transfected with a lenti-viral vector expressing green fluorescent protein (GFP), CS-CDF-CG-PRE. Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) were derived from inbred transgenic mice (C57BL/6-Tg (CAG-EGFP)) and were used as an experimental control. Transfected mSSCs were well proliferated in vitro and maintained their characteristics and normal karyotype. Ten to twelve mSSCs and ESCs were collected and inserted into perivitelline space of 8-cell mouse embryos, and then transferred them into uteri of poster mothers after an additional 2-days of culture. Percentage of mSSC-derived offsprings was 4.8% (47/980) and which was lower than those (11.7% (67/572)) of ESC-derived ones (P<0.05). However, even though different genetic background of mSSC and ESC origin, the production efficiency of coat-colored chimeric offspring in mSSC group was not different when compared it with ESC (6.4% (3/47) vs. 7.5% (5/67)). From these results, we confirmed that mSSC derived from outbred mice has a pluripotency and a potential to produce chimeric embryos or mice when reaggregatation with mSSC is performed.

I. Purpose It is essential to have the correct body contour information for the calculation of dose distribution. The role of CT images in the radiation oncology field has been increased. But there still exists a method to use cast or lead wire for the body contour drawing. This traditional method has drawbacks such as in accurate and time consuming procedure. This study has been designed to overcome this problem. II. Materials and Methods A digital camera is attached to a pole which stands on the opposite side of the gantry. Positional information was acquired from an image of the phantom which is specially designed for this study and located on the isocenter level of the simulator Laser line on the patients skin or on the phantom surface was digitized and reconstructed as the contour. Verification of usefulness this technique has been done with various shape of phantoms and a patients chest III. Results and Conclusions Contours from the traditional method with the cast or lead wire and the digital image method showed good agreement within experimetal error range. This technique showed more efficiente in time and convenience. For irregular shaped contour, like H&N region, special care are needed. The results suggest that more study is needed. To use of the another photogrammatory techinique with two camera system may be better for the actual clinical application
Objectives This study investigated the effect of purified safflower (Carthamus tinctorius Linne) and safflower seed (Carthamus tinctorius L. seed; CS) extract, using hot water and ethanol extract methods , on the osteogenic differentiation of MC3T3E1 cells.Methods The safflower and safflower seed were extracted with hot water and ethanol. The samples were concentrated by a rotary evaporator and then freeze-dried using a freeze-dryer. The MC3T3E1 cells were propagated and maintained in DMEM (Gibco) containing 10% FBS and a 1% antibiotic antimycotic solution. To induce osteogenic differentiation, the cells were treated for 14 days with DMEM with 10 mM β-glycerophosphate and 50 μM ascorbic acid. Extract doses were confirmed by the results of an MTT assay, and treatment of the extracts was performed in a differentiation medium every two days. The ALP staining and activity were tested after osteogenic differentiation for five days, and after 14 days, osteogenic differentiation was determined by alizarin red S staining. The mRNA expressions of osteogenic-related genes were quantified using quantitative real-time PCR.Results In the results of the MTT assay, all concentrations of safflower extracts had no toxicity in the MC3T3El cells. But in the groups of 100 ng/ml and 200 ng/ml concentrations of safflower seed extracts, the cell viability was significantly reduced by up to 40-50%. So we fixed the treatment concentration of the extract at 50 ng/ml. In the ALP and alizarin red S staining, all extract groups increased osteogenic differentiation compared with the control group. The water-safflower extract group showed the highest mRNA level of Alp, Runx2, and Dlx5 genes. The mRNA level of Ocn, an osteogenic gene related to late-stage differentiation, in the ethanol-safflower extract group increased the mineralization more significantly than in other groups.Conclusions These data suggest that the extract of safflower increases the osteoblastic differentiation activates of MC3T3E1 cells like the extract of safflower seed. The water-extract and ethanol-extract of safflower have effects on different stages of osteogenesis in MC3T3El. Not only safflower seed but also safflower will be useful therapeutic reagents for age-associated chronic diseases such as osteoporosis.
The secondary health status of the disabled is more vulnerable due to the aging of the disabled, the nature of primary disabilities, and social and environmental disability suppression and stress. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the experiences of secondary disabilities of the disabled and how they responded when secondary disorders occurred. A total of 13 people with severe disabilities with secondary disabilities were interviewed in a focus group and analyzed by applying phenomenological research methods. As a result of the analysis, people with disabilities were experiencing secondary disorders due to variations in the experiences of aging and primary disorders, management problems and life accidents in the primary disorder, misunderstanding of the labor market for disorders and health, misunderstanding of risks of secondary disorders and lack of prevention. In response, people with disabilities live alternatively between body and work, body and academic, try to prevent worsening of secondary disabilities at the individual level, continue to enter the hospital, or choose a life that puts health first. While experiencing secondary disabilities, people with disabilities experienced the threat of life, recognized life as having to endure and fought to the end, acknowledged the difference between the disabled and non-disabled people, and standed aloof from their ongoing secondary disability. It also requested institutional support. Based on the results of this study, medical-level measures, institutional support measures in the labor market, and social welfare practices were discussed.
Disease of patient who visited the hospital can cause different symptoms of the disease, depending on the environment and lifestyle. Recent medical services offered in patients has changed in the environment that can be selected for treatment by analyzing the patient according to the disease symptoms. In this paper, we propose an efficient method to manage disease control because the treatment method may change at any patients suffering from the disease according to the patient conditions by grouping the different treatments to patients for disease information. The proposed scheme has a feature that can be ingested by the patient big disease information, as well as to improve the treatment efficiency of the medical treatment the increase patient satisfaction. The proposed sheme can handle big data by clustering of disease information for patients suffering from diseases such as patient consent small groups. In addition, the proposed scheme has the advantage that can be conveniently accessed via a particular keyword, the treatment method according to patient disease information. The experimental results, the proposed method has been improved by 23% in terms of efficiency compared to conventional techniques, disease management time is gained 11.3% improved results. Medical service user satisfaction seen from the survey is to obtain a high 31.5% results.
The purpose of this study was to identify dental hygiene students' interpersonal relationship ability, interpersonal relationship satisfaction, stress levels and to develop positive measures for adapting to university life through the investigation of their relevance to the departmental satisfaction. It was conducted by using the convenience sampling of students enrolled in the dental hygiene department and a self-reported survey. Collected data were analyzing by using SPSS Statistics version 22.0 program (p=0.05). The correlations among their interpersonal relationship ability, interpersonal relationship satisfaction, stress and department satisfaction were examined to show that interpersonal relationship ability have a positive correlation with department satisfaction, while stress has a negative correlation with the latter. Both department intelligibility and interpersonal relationship ability, as factors influencing their department satisfaction, have positive effects on department satisfaction, indicating that the factors influencing that the factors influencing dental hygiene students' department satisfaction are interpersonal relationship ability and department intelligibility. Although this study is limited to generalization by conducting research on some dental hygiene students, it is deemed necessary to develop and apply interpersonal relationship ability and department-related information programs as a way to increase department satisfaction.
In order to find out the condition of flow in sewer pipes, this study investigated the characteristics of tractive force of sewage flow estimated using actual measured values of water level, velocity, and flowrate in sewers located at uppermost portion in a treatment area during dry weather periods. When the scene of sewage flow was taken by CCTV after cohesive and non-cohesive solids (tofu and sand) were put on the sewer invert, it was found that the solids could be flushed without significant interruption. In sewer with slope of 0.00319, the frequency exceeding the minimum tractive force of sewage during a weekday was zero, while it was 10 per day with slope of 0.00603. During the week of the field observation, the event to exceed the minimum tractive force occurred once, suggesting that sewer odor would potentially increase. Maximum tractive force in sewer with steep slope was 2.9-3.1 N/㎡, but with gentle slope it decreased to 1.6-1.7N/㎡. It was also observed that the interval of time maintained below the criterion of minimum tractive force increased, during weekends compared to weekdays and for the sewage including non-cohesive particles which could enter combined sewers during a storm period. This study found that the sewer sediments formed by direct feces input into sewers, through sewer pipes which were designed meeting the standard sewer design criteria, could be flushed without staying as deposited solids state for a long time.
This study is to develop and provide a personal information protection framework that enables IoT service providers to safely and systematically operate personal information of IoT service subjects in the overall process of providing IoT devices and services. To this end, a framework for personal information framework was derived through literature survey, and FGI with experts, it was divided into three stages, each of three stages: IoT service provision process and IoT personal information processing process. The study conducted an e-mail survey of related experts using AHP techniques to determine the importance of the components of the selected personal information protection framework. As a result, in the IoT service provision process, the IoT product and service design and development stage (0.5413) is the most important, and in the IoT personal information processing process, personal information protection in the collection and retention of personal information (0.5098) is the most important. Therefore, based on this research, as the IoT service is spreading, it is expected that a safe personal information protection framework will be realized by preventing security threats and personal information infringement accidents.
