기술통합관계를 이용한 핵심요소기술(CTEs) 선정방안 연구 (A Study on the Selection of Critical Technology Elements(CTEs) Using Integration Relations between Technologies or Components)

  • Military technology transition is the process of transition from the science and technology environment to systems to supply effective weapon systems and support systems to the fighters. In case of technology transition decision, immatured technologies result in increasing acquisition cost and delaying schedule toward the objective system. In this paper, we proposed a method to identify and select critical technology elements by integration relations between technologies or components, for supporting technology transition and risk management of military R&D projects.

체계개발 사업의 효과적인 기술성숙도 평가방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on The Effective Technology Readiness Assessment Method for System Development Project)

  • In this study, the effective technology readiness assessment (TRA) method for system development project is suggested. We analyze the domestic and foreign TRA practice and derive the new idea to resolve the problems found from the analysis. Domestic and foreign organizations develop and use checklist for the precise TRA, but the checklist has some problems in type of questions and analysis of assessment. TRA method using the original TRL definition or the checklist should be selected depending on the project characteristic. Questions of the checklist should be classified into critical or non-critical according to their importance. Finally, Test and evaluation master plan (TEMP) in system engineering process can provide an obvious criteria to assess technology readiness level (TRL) of critical technology elements (CTE) composing the system.

비판적 사고를 활용한 공학 설계 교육 (Engineering design education utilizing critical thinking)

  • ABEEK's professional liberal arts education reflecting critical thinking, has been well received by professors and students in the engineering discipline. Also, the demand for further utilization of critical thinking within the engineering curriculum is increasing. To meet such demand, there is a need for experts in the area of critical thinking education and engineering education to come together and search for the most effective method in using critical thinking in engineering design education courses. In this paper, we were able to confirm, through specific application cases, that the problem-solving process of critical thinking can be effectively transferred to an engineering design process, and the elements and criteria of critical thinking can be used as a successful design tool. Also, we explore the possibility of further improving engineering education on the basis of critical thinking.

국가 공간정보 인프라의 클라우드 서비스 기술개발 방안 수립 (The Establishment for Technology Development Plan for National Spatial Information Infrastructure Cloud Service)

  • 클라우드 컴퓨팅은 서로 다른 위치에 존재하는 IT 자원을 가상화 기술을 활용에 다양한 사용자에게 제공하는 기술이다. 국가 공간정보는 관리 주체가 분산됨에 따라 최신의 갱신된 정보를 사용할 수 없는 문제가 존재한다. 또한 GIS 분석기능을 기관 별로 독자적으로 구축하여 사용하고 있기 때문에 국가예산이 낭비되고 있다. 이러한 문제점 들은 클라우드 서비스를 도입함으로써 해결될 수 있다. 그러나 한국 공간정보 시스템에 클라우드를 도입하기 위한 연구는 기술개발의 방향 제안에 머물러 있고 구체적 개발 방안을 제시하지는 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국가 공간정보 인프라의 클라우드 서비스 기술 개발 방안을 수립한다. 첫 번째로 정책 및 기술적 환경과 현황분석을 통해 시사점을 도출하여 기술개발 목표를 설정한다. 두 번째로 목표를 달성하기 위한 기술요소 및 핵심 기술요소를 평가 요소에 대한 전문가 분석으로 도출한다. 그 결과 총 열 세 개의 핵심 기술요소가 도출되었다. 마지막으로 각 핵심 기술요소를 구성하는 총 서른 한 개의 연구활동이 정의되었다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 핵심 기술요소 및 연구활동은 추후 국가 공간정보 인프라에 클라우드 서비스를 도입하기 위한 기술 개발 로드맵으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

희토류 관련 국제표준 동향 및 시사점 (Trends and Implications of International Standardization for Rare Earths)

  • Rare earth elements (REEs) are considered to be vital to modern industry due to their important roles in applications such as permanent magnets, automobile production, displays, and many more. The imbalance between demand and supply of REEs can be solved by recycling processes. Regarding the needs of industry and society, the International Organization for Standardization, Technical Committee 298 (ISO/TC298) Rare Earths has been recently launched for developing international standards on rare earth elements. In accordance with the suggestion of its constituents, it is tentatively working to develop the appropriate standards under five working groups (WG) on terms and definitions (WG1), element recycling (WG2), environmental stewardship (WG3), packaging, labelling, marking, transport, and storage (WG4), and testing analysis (WG5). The scope and structure of ISO/TC298 on the topic of rare earths is discussed in this document.

Influence of Manufacturing Errors on the Dynamic Characteristics of Planetary Gear Systems

  • A dynamic analysis using a hybrid finite element method was performed to characterize the effects of a number of manufacturing errors on bearing forces and critical tooth stress in the elements of a planetary gear system. Some tolerance control guidelines for managing bearing forces and critical stress are deduced from the results. The carrier indexing error for the planet assembly and planet runout error are the most critical factors in reducing the planet bearing force and maximizing load sharing, as well as in reducing the critical stress.

  • Erosion is a common failure mode of materials frequently encountered in plant and power industry. Although the erosion resistance of Fe-base alloy has been inferior to the other expensive materials, it is expected that the strain-induced martensitic transformation can impart high erosion resistance to Fe-base alloy. The key technology to develop Fe-base metal cored welding wire for erosion resistant overlay welding may include the strain-induced metallurgy for hardening rate control and the welding flux metallurgy for dilution control. Sophisticated studies showed that the strain-induced martensitic transformation behavior was related to the critical strain energy which was dependent on the alloy composition. Dilution and bead shape of overlay weld were proved to be affected by metal transfer mode during gas tungsten arc welding and elements in welding fluxes. It was considered that the highly erosion resistant Fe-base overlay weld could be achieved by precise control of alloy composition to have proper level of critical strain energy for energy absorption and welding flux formulation to have small amount of deoxidizing metallic elements for dilution.

Sharing Cognition LMS: an Alternative Teaching and Learning Environment for Enhancing Collaborative Performance

  • The purpose of this research is to propose a novel social LMS developed for group collaborative learning with a think-aloud tool integrated for sharing cognitive processes in order to improve group collaborative learning performance. In this developmental research, the system was designed with three critical elements: the think-aloud element supports learners through shared cognition, the social network element improves the quality of collaborative learning by forming a structured social environment, and the learning management element provides a understructure for collaborative learning for student groups. Moreover, the three critical elements were combined in an educational context and applied in three directions.

  • A physical protection system (PPS) is used for the protection of critical facilities. This paper proposes a structure analytic hierarchy approach (SAHA) for the hierarchical evaluation of the PPS effectiveness in critical infrastructure. SAHA is based on the traditional analysis methods "estimate of adversary sequence interruption, EASI". A community algorithm is used in the building of the SAHA model. SAHA is applied to cluster the associated protection elements for the topological design of complicated PPS with graphical vertexes equivalent to protection elements.

  • 전기체 구조시험에서 사용되는 시험설비는 규모가 크고 여러 시스템들이 상호 유기적인 결합체계를 이루고 있다. 이 시험설비를 구성하는 여러 요소들이 비정상적인 작동을 하게 되면, 구조시험의 진행이 영향을 받게 되며 몇몇 중요 요소들은 구조시험의 돌발적인 중지를 유발하게 된다. 따라서 이들 중요 요소들은 시험동안 감시의 대상이 되며, 이를 위한 감시 시스템이 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 전기체 구조시험 설비 감시 시스템 개발과 관련하여 감시 및 지시 대상 항목 선정, 시스템 설계에 대하여 소개하였다. 본 논문에서 소개된 감시 시스템은 현재 T-50 전기체 정적 시험에 성공적으로 활용되고 있으며, 향후 피로시험에 적용할 수 있도록 확장할 예정이다.
