Long sentence analysis has been a critical problem in machine translation because of high complexity. The methods of intra-sentence segmentation have been proposed to reduce parsing complexity. This paper presents the intra-sentence segmentation method based on maximum entropy probability model to increase the coverage and accuracy of the segmentation. We construct the rules for choosing candidate segmentation positions by a teaming method using the lexical context of the words tagged as segmentation position. We also generate the model that gives probability value to each candidate segmentation positions. The lexical contexts are extracted from the corpus tagged with segmentation positions and are incorporated into the probability model. We construct training data using the sentences from Wall Street Journal and experiment the intra-sentence segmentation on the sentences from four different domains. The experiments show about $88\%$ accuracy and about $98\%$ coverage of the segmentation. Also, the proposed method results in parsing efficiency improvement by 4.8 times in speed and 3.6 times in space.
In this study, theoretical approach of 3D seismic traveltime tomography was investigated. To guarantee the successful field application of 3D tomography, appropriate control of problem associated with blind zone is pre-requisite. To overcome the velocity distortion of the reconstructed tomogram due to insufficient source-receiver array coverage, the algorithm of 3D seismic traveltime tomography based on the Fresnel volume was developed as a technique of ray-path broadening. For the successful reconstruction of velocity cube, 3D traveltime algorithm was explored and employed on the basis of 2nd order Fast Marching Method(FMM), resulting in improvement of precision and accuracy. To prove the validity and field application of this algorithm, two numerical experiments were performed for globular and layered models. The algorithm was also found to be successfully applicable to field data.

Many studies which have been done for efficient installation and management of wireless sensor networks (WSN) include energy savings, key managements and sensor deployments. Sensor deployment problem is one of the most important and fundamental issues among them in that the topic is directly related with the system cost and performance. In this paper, we suggest a sensor deployment scheme that reduces the system cost of WSN while satisfying the fundamental system requirements of connectivity between sensor nodes and sensing coverage. Using graphical information system(GIS) which contains region-dependent information related with connectivity condition, the initial positions of sensors in the procedure simulated annealing (SA) are determined. The GIS information helps in reducing system cost reduction not only at the initial deployment of SA but also at the final deployment of SA which is shown by computer simulations.
This study aims to describe the brief history of war reporting by Korea press and investigate the problems and reform measures of war coverage suggested by journalists who have experienced and covered the war. Although Korea press had 50 year war reporting history, it lacks knowhow about war reporting and systematic support for war coverage. Its main reason is that Korea press tend to dispatch war correspondents habitually without training them sufficiently. In addition, war journalists cover the war based on their environment and personal experiences. Dispatching journalists who have few experiences in war reporting to conflict region is another problem of war reporting by Korean press. To overcome these problems, Korea press need to manage journalists' pool who are well informed of or accustomed to Islam culture and region. Cultivating experts who are familiar with international issues or troubles are also necessary for vivid war reporting.

In model-based testing using sequence diagrams, test cases are automatically derived from the sequence diagrams. For the generation of test cases, scenarios need to be found for representing as a sequence diagram, and to extract test paths satisfying the test coverage. However, it is hard to automatically extract test paths from the sequence diagram because a sequence diagram represents loop, opt, and alt information using CombinedFragments. To resolve this problem, we propose a transformation process that transforms a sequence diagram into an activity diagram which represents scenarios as a type of control flows. In addition, we generate test cases from the activity diagram by applying a test coverage concept. Finally, we present a case study for test cases generation from a sequence diagram.
When preparing test cases and running the test the existing GUI test tools require many tester's interventions. To cope with such problem this paper suggests a new method to build test cases for GUI test. This method identifies the potential control flows within the GUI and constructs the GUI map. The UIA library in .NET Framework is used to extract information about the GUI controls and the GUI map is constructed by the extracted information. Test scenarios are generated from the extracted information about the GUI controls using the grouping mechanism. Based on the grouping mechanism, various test scenarios which are test cases in GUI tests can be made by replacing a GUI control by another one in the same group. The existing GUI test tools do not support the concept of test coverage. Since, however, our method survey which part of the GUI map is executed or not during running the test, the test coverage can be measured by using the GUI map.

In this paper, a novel test method is proposed to detect the hard and soft fault in analog circuits. The proposed test method makes use of the offset voltage, which is one of the op-amps characteristics. During the test mode, CUT is modified to unit gain op-amps with feedback loop. When the input of the op-amp is grounded, a good circuit has a small offset voltage, but a faulty circuit has a large offset voltage. Faults in the op-amp which cause the offset voltage exceeding predefined range of tolerance can be detected. In the proposed method, no test vector is required to be applied. Therefore the test vector generation problem is eliminated and the test time and cost is reduced. In this note, the validity of the proposed test method has been verified through the example of the dual slope A/D converter. The HSPICE simulations results affirm that the presented method assures a high fault coverage.

Recently, heterogeneous networks consisting of small-cells on top of traditional macro-cellular network has attracted much attention, because traditional macro-cellular network is not suitable to support more demanding mobile data traffic due to its limitation of spatial reuse. However, due to the transmit power difference between macro- and small-cells, most users are associated with macro-cells rather than small-cells. To solve this problem, enhanced inter-cell interference coordination (eICIC) has been introduced. Particularly, in eICIC, the small-cell coverage is forcibly expanded to associate more users with small-cells. Then, to avoid cross-tier interference from macro-cells, these users are allowed to receive the data during almost blank subframe (ABS) in which macro-cells almost remain silent. However, this approach is not sufficient to balance the load between macro- and small-cells because it only expands the small-cell coverage. In this paper, we propose a load balance scheme improving proportional fairness for heterogeneous networks employing eICIC. In particular, the proposed scheme combines the greedy-based user association and the ABS rate determination in a recursive manner to perform the load balance.
Recently, many cleaning robots have been made with various algorithms for efficient cleaning. One of them is a DmaxCoverage algorithm which efficiently clean for the situation when the robot has a time limit. This algorithm uses Rectangle Tiling method for finding the biggest rectangle that doesn't have any obstacle. When the robot uses grid map, Rectangle Tiling method can find the optimal value. Rectangle Tiling method is to find all of the rectangles in the grid map. But when the grid map is big, it has a problem that spends a lot of times because of the large numbers of rectangles. In this paper, we propose Four Direction Rectangle Scanning(FDRS) method that has similar accuracy but faster than Rectangle Tiling method. FDRS method is not to find all of the rectangle, but to search the obstacle's all directions. We will show the FDRS method's performance by comparing of FDRS and Rectangle Tiling methods.

This paper describes a test generation method for sequential circuits which improves the application limits of the IPMT method by applying the partial scan design to the IPMT method. To solve the problem that the IPMT method requires enormous computation time in image computation, and generates test patterns after the partialscan design is introduced to reduce test complexity. Scan flip-flops are selected for the partial scan design according to the node size of the state functions of a sequential circuit in their binary decision diagram representations. Experimental results on ISCAS'95 benchmark circuits show that a test generator based on our method has achieved 100% fault coverage by use of either 20% scan FFs for s344, s349, and s420 or 80% scan FFs for sl423. However, test gener-ators based on the previous IPM method have not achieved 100% fault coverage for those circuits.
