Piezoelectric and Dielectric Characteristics of PAN-PZT Ceramics with BaCO3Addition (BaCO3첨가량에 따른 PAN-PZI계 세라믹스의 압전 및 유전특성)

  • The piezoelectric properties of $0.05Pb(Al_{0.5}Nb_{0.5})O_3-0.95Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3+0.7wt%Nb_2O_5+o.5wt%MnO_2$ ceramics with the additive of BaCO$_3$were investigated. As the addition of BaCO$_3$increased from 0 to 0.4 wt%, the dielectric constant ($\epsilon^T _{33}$), piezoelectric constant ($d_33$), electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p$), and mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$) increased, while the dielectric loss ($tan\delta$) decreased. The highest piezoelectric and dielectric properties were observed at $1200^{\circ}C$ of the sintered temperature with 0.4 wt% of $BaCO_3$, and the properties of $d_33$, $k_p$, and $Q_m$ were 339 pC/N, 60% and 1754, respectively.

  • In this study, in order to develop low loss multilayer piezoelectric actuator, PZN-PZT ceramics were fabricated using $Li_2CO_3,\;Bi_2O_3$, CuO and ZnO as sintering aids, their structural, piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated according to the amount of ZnO addition, At the sintering temperature of $870^{\circ}C$, the density, electromechanical coupling factor(kp), mechanical quality factor(Qm), dielectric constant(${\epsilon}_r$) and piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$) of 0.4 wt% ZnO added specimen (sintered at $870^{\circ}C$) showed the optimum value of $7.812g/cm^3$, 0.535, 916, 1399, 335 pC/N respectively. Taking into consideration above piezoelectric properties of the specimen sintered at low temperature, it was concluded that PZN-PZT ceramics using 0.4 wt% ZnO as additive showed the optimum characteristics as the composition ceramics for low loss multilayer piezoelectric actuator application.

  • In this paper, in order to develop low loss multilayer actuator, piezoelectric properties of PZW-PMN-PZT multilayer actuator sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ low temperature were investigated according to the number of multilayer. The multilayer actuator was fabricated using tape casting method and used pure Ag internal electrode. The density above $8.0\;g/cm^3$ was obtained at all specimens. With increasing number of multilayer, effective electromechanical coupling factor($k_{eff}$) was increased. $k_{eff}$ of multilayer actuator shows the maximum value of 0.283 at 11 layers actuator. However, effective mechanical quality factor(Qm') was decreased according to the increase of number of multilayer. The Qm' of multilayer actuator showed the maximum value of 920 at 5 layers actuator.

  • The hermetic rotary compressor is one of the most important components of an air conditioning system since it has a great effect on both the performance and the noise and vibration of the system. Noise and vibration occurs due to gas pulsation during the compression process and to unbalanced dynamic force. In order to reduce noise and vibration, it is necessary to identify their sources and transmission path and effectively control them. Many approaches have been tried in order to identify the noise transmission path of a compressor. However, identification has proven to be difficult since the characteristics of compressor noise are complicated due to the interaction of the compressor parts and gas pulsation. In this study, the statistical energy analysis has been used to trace the energy flow in the compressor and to identify the transmission paths from the noise source to the exterior sound field.

  • Interior parts of a vehicle are getting important to reduce interior noise. Therefore, prior analysis of cabin noise related with interior parts are necessary at first design stage. Recently, Statistical Energy Analysis(SEA) has been suggested as a possible way for high frequency range noise analysis of interior parts. The validity of noise analysis with SEA to interior parts has been preyed by comparing with experimental result, and the developed method with SEA has been applied in finding optimized interior parts package.

However, compressor noise source identification has proven to be difficult since the characteristics of compressor noise are complicated due to the interaction of the compressor parts and gas pulsation.   • The piezoelectric properties of 0.05pb(A $l_{0.5}$N $b_{0.5}$) $O_3$-0.95Pb(Z $r_{0.52}$ $Ti_{0.48}$) $O_3$+0.7wt%N $b_2$ $O_{5}$ +0.5wt%Mn $O_2$ceramics with the additives of BaC $O_3$were investigated. For the additions of BaC $O_3$, the dielectric constant ($\varepsilon$$^{T}$ $_{33}$ ), the piezoelectric constant ( $d_{33}$ ), the electromechanical coupling factor ( $k_{p}$ ), and . the mechanical quality factor ( $Q_{m}$ ) were increased, but dielectric loss (tan$\delta$) was decreased. The highest piezoelectric properties and dielectric properties were observed at the sintered temperature of 120$0^{\circ}C$ and 0.4 wt% of BaC $O_3$, and the properties of $d_{33}$ , $k_{p}$ , and $Q_{m}$ were 339(x10$^{-12}$ C/N), 59% and 1754, respectively.vely.y.y.

  • This paper proposes GaN film as a piezoelectric material for SAW(surface acoustic wave) filters. The fabricated GaN SAW filter exhibited a very high velocity of 5800 ㎧and relatively low insertion loss of -9.9 dB without matching circuit. From Smith's equivalent circuit model, the calculated electromechanical coupling factor (K$^2$) was about 4.$\pm$03%. which is larger than those obtained from other thin film piezoelectric materials and allows the realization of wider filter fractional bandwidths.
