  • This paper elucidates the characteristics of transnational adoption, estimates the possibility of beyond-borders identity of transnational adoptees, and tries to analyze Jane Jeong Trenka's The Language of Blood in its context. Though it has been regarded as one of the most humanitarian ways of helping orphans and poor children of the world, transnational adoption, a one-way flow of children from poor Asian countries to rich white countries, has been operated under the market logic between countries. Transnational adoptees, who had been abandoned and forced to be taken away from their birth mother, and later, to fulfill the desire of white parents for a perfect family, perform an ideological labor, serving to make the heterogeneous nuclear family complete. Korean transnational adoptees, forced to transcend the borders of nation, culture, and ethnicity, experience racial conflict and alienation in white adoptive family and society. Their diaspora experience of violent dislocation creates frustration and confusion in establishing their identity as a whole being. When they return to Korea to find their birth mother and their true identity, Korean adoptees, however, are faced with other obstructing issues, such as language problem, culture conflict, and maternal nationalism. Finally, Korean transnational adoptees reject Korean nationalism discourse based on blood, and try to redefine themselves as beyond-borders subjectivities with new and fluid identities. Jane Jeong Trenka's The Language of Blood, an autobiographical novel based on her experiences as a transnational adoptee, represents a Korean adopted girl's personal, cultural, and racial conflict within her white adoptive family, and questions the image of benevolent white mother and the myth of multiculturalism. The novel further represents Jane's return to Korea to find out her true identity, and shows Jane's disappointment and alienation in her birth country due to her ignorance of language and culture. Returning to USA again, and trying to be reconciled with her American mother, Jane shows the promise of accepting her new identity capable of transcending the borders, and thus, the possibility of enlarging the category of belonging.

  • In this paper, we examine the reliability verification procedure of evidence analysis tools for computer forensics and test the famous tools for their functional requirements using the verification items proposed by standard document, TIAK.KO-12.0112. Also, we carry out performance evaluation based on test results and suggest the way of performance improvement for evidence analysis tools. To achieve this, we first investigate functions that test subjects can perform, and then we set up a specific test plan and create evidence image files which contain the contents of a verification items. We finally verify and analyze the test results. In this process, we can discover some weaknesses of most of analysis tools, such as the restoration for deleted & fragmented files, the identification of the file format which is widely used in the country and the processing of the strings composed of Korean alphabet.

  • Generally, the image of Colombia is constituted as a dangerous country in war against guerrillas and with greater cocaine production. The massacre of Bojayá, taken to the theater work Kilele by Felipe Vergara which forms the object of analysis of this paper, was an event that has most affected the sensitivity of Colombia in the first decade of the 21st century due to the absurdity of its occurrence and the magnitude. The work Kilele not only represents the social drama of Bojayá as a bitter and nightmare past, but breaks the veil of death and communicate with the souls that, according to their beliefs, still hang in limbo. The main goal of this act is to go to reintegration of fractured society, celebrating a funeral rite worthy of the deads that wander various spaces of limbo. This article analyzes the epic structure in Kilele, rituals related to the African spirituality, and the fragmentary structure of the work. Finally this paper intends to reveal how it helped to recover from the trauma of the massacre.

  • Coastal debris presents a significant environmental threat globally. This research sought to improve the monitoring methods for coastal debris by employing deep learning and remote sensing technologies. To achieve this, an object detection approach utilizing the You Only Look Once (YOLO)v8 model was implemented to develop a comprehensive image dataset for 11 primary types of coastal debris in our country, proposing a protocol for the real-time detection and analysis of debris. Drone imagery was collected over Sinja Island, situated at the estuary of the Nakdong River, and analyzed using our custom YOLOv8-based analysis program to identify type-specific hotspots of coastal debris. The deployment of these mapping and analysis methodologies is anticipated to be effectively utilized in managing coastal debris.

  • Vintage fashion is a lot influenced by colors because an emotion is transmitted via images of "old feeling", "worn-out feeling" and "faded feeling" etc. Colors are visual sensation occurring at a time when lights stimulate an eye, which is a representative factor which humans first perceive when they touch objects. And colors in clothing function as a critical element which indicates an individual's impression and character as well as aesthetic sensation. In this study, I examined on the theoretical consideration and aesthetic characteristics via the previous literature on vintage fashion and colors. As an empirical study, I investigated on the colors of vintage fashion appearing in Pr$\hat{e}$t-$\grave{a}$-porter Collections, Paris from Spring/Summer, 2003 to Fall/Winter 2008. As a way for study, I investigated into the total 197 vintage fashion photos and calculated their RGB values by using photoshop. And I converted the values of the colors extracted into H V/C values by using Munsell Conversion Version 9.0.6 and analyzed on Munsell System of 10 Color Notation and the PCCS colors, classifying a color scheme by visual sensation measurement. The result of analyzing on the concept of vintage fashion and its color characteristics is as follows; Vintage fashion made an appearance the most in 2003 and 2004 and its colors appeared a lot in Y, YR, R and PB lines. Color tone concentrated on black and white, achromatic color and low chroma colors in a grayish line, chromatic color. Thus, the study found that colors suitable for a "worn-out", "faded" and "old" image are properly reflected in vintage fashion rather than a clear and bright background. In a color scheme, I found contrast color and same color appearing a lot, which gave an unharmonious feeling and a smack of the country. The study reveals that the color characteristic of vintage fashion is relatively diverse and complex in color, color tone or shade and color scheme, which shows a color trend which reflects a non-constructive and complex coordination characteristic instead of a standardized simple and clear image.

  • The KOMPSAT-3 can acquire panchromatic stereo image with 0.7 m spatial resolution, and provides Rational Polynomial Coefficient (RPC). In order to determine ground coordinate using the provides RPC, which include interior-exterior orientation errors, its adjustment is needed by using the Ground Control Point (GCP). Several thousands of national Unified Control Points (UCPs) are established and overall distributed in the country by the Korean National Geographic Information Institute (NGII). UCPs therefore can be easily searched and downloaded by the national-control-point-record-issues system. This paper introduced the point-extraction method and the distance-bearing method to detect of UCPs. As results, the distance-bearing method was better detected through the experiment. RPC adjustment using this method was compared with that by only one UCP and GCPs using GPS. The proposed method was more accurate than the other method in the horizontal. As demonstrated in this paper, the proposed UCPs detection method could be replaced GPS surveying for RPC adjustment.

  • Close-to-nature stream evaluation is one of the processing to make the streams over in order to keep them natural. It is integral to evaluate and make an accurate analysis of them on the purpose of maintaining streams healthy. For many instances, there are, stream organization evaluation for restoration by German government, evaluation for ecosystem protection in natural preserves by New Zealand government, and stream-view evaluation for restoration by Britain government so on. In case of the country there are analysis and evaluation of stream physical organization by Cho, Yong-hyun, Close-to-nature stream evaluation for restoration by Kim, Dong-chan, evaluation of stream properties in korea by Park, Bong-jin. Close-to-nature evaluation by Lim, Chan-uk, that is advanced version of Park, Bong-jin's, shows form of stream including waterway curve, sand bar, diversity of flow, river bed material, diversity of minor bed, minor bed bank protection works, bank protection material. It also does environment of stream including side of minor bed vegetation, width of surface of the water/width of the river etc.. By the way, this evaluation does not have free access to apply those details above in the field, it often happens that you get various outcome from the one spot. so you must need more realistic testing method to obtain more accurate data. Remote sensing method is highly recommended because this is very useful for collecting realistic data of vegetation index. what is more, it can not only scan even the minimum area within its resolving power but also do obtain data anytime. Vegetation index indicates Ratio vegetation index, Normalized difference vegetation index, Soil adjusted vegetation index, Atmospherically resistant vegetation index etc.. The research is focusing on Cheokgwa stream which is the branch of Taehwa river and shows 19 sectioned Close-to-nature stream performed according to the method by Lim, chan-uk. Besides let you know vegetation index came from image data of satellite landsat 7 with the variation of buffering area, of the day 9. may. 2003. Of all, the outcome 0.758 at 200m buffer-zone of NDVI was the best we have got so far.

  • Since Germany was unified in 1990, Korea became the only country that has the division in the world. This division has various bad effects on Korea's status with not reliable security, forfeited national impression, loss of tourism income and so on. Kim Jung-Il national defense committee chairman is the current dictator of North Korea which is a socialist state. Even if he is getting old, his successor is not proclaimed. In this situation, his sudden aggravation of health can cause seriously bad effects on diplomatic relations especially with South Korea. Therefore, the health information about Kim Jung-Il national defense committee chairman will be very important information. In order to deal this problem, we propose the method of extracting the Kim Jung-Il national defense committee chairman's health from his pictures which are recently open to the public by employing the diagnosis Ocular Inspection used in Oriental medicine. n order to get an accurate result, revising the Kim Jung-Il national defense committee chairman's pictures, which are not taken in a controled equal situation, is necessary. Therefore we employed the color analysis process with color revising and color differential comparing process without color revising. With these processes, we can make diagnosis of his diabetes and complications.

  • The Korean wave contents such as Korean TV dramas and K-pop are sweeping over foreign countries. This Korean wave has improved positive national brand image and also brought up interest across Korean culture. Due to expansion of Korean wave, some Korean education contents started to be made by using Korean wave contents. These kinds of Korean educational online contents induce interest in studying Korean by using Korean wave contents. Furthermore, people can indirectly experience Korean culture. so we need to come up with more effective application plan. However, contents which has produced currently still have insufficient part. Based on that, current state of Korean education online contents by using Korean wave contents will analyze into especially a series of 'Pit-A-Pat Korean' from Nuri-Sejong school need to be proposed a review of the limitations and improvement conclusion in this paper. The K-drama produced by effectively utilizing the planning and the Korean educational content. This will reveal to the culture and traditions of Korea, as well as a simple information transfer. So we expect to be a valuable activity that is responsible for a stem to improve the country's image as one item K-culture itself.

  • In the study digital imagery was used to examine asphalt concrete pavements. With digitally mastered-image information that was filmed with a video camera fixed on a car travelling on road at a consistent speed, a road surface management system that can gain road surface information (Crack, Rutting, IRI) was developed using an object-oriented language "Delphi". This system was designed to improve visualized effects by animations and graphs. After analyzing the accuracy of 3-D coordinates of road surfaces that were decided using multiple image orientation and bundle adjustment method, the average of standard errors turned out to be 0.0427m in the X direction, 0.0527m in the Y direction and 0.1539m in the Z direction. As a result, it was found to be good enough to be put to practical use for maps drawn on scales below 1/1000, which are currently producted and used in our country, and GIS data. According to the analysis of the accuracy in crack width on 12 spots using a digital video camera, the standard error was found to be ${\pm}0.256mm$, which is considered as high precision. In order to get information on rutting, the physically measured cross sections of 4 spots were compared with cross sections generated from digital images. Even though a maximum error turned out to be 10.88mm, its practicality is found in work efficiency.
