The purpose of this study was to develop hand creams among the types of cosmetics based on domestic pumpkins grown in Yangju. Pumpkins are mostly used for cooking, but because they contain a large amount of vitamin A, they can also be used as raw materials for cosmetics to prevent skin aging. The final design was researched and developed through a graphic expression of pumpkin characteristics, a design process, and a survey on preference for differentiated packaging design. The survey targets women in their 20s and 30s who directly purchase cosmetics, and an analysis of consumers' preference for brand product decisions showed that simple and modern designs suitable for cosmetics images topped the list. In addition, it showed a positive image of cosmetics development using local agricultural products and high brand value. We present the possibility that domestic pumpkin raw materials can be applied to cosmetics and aim to develop excellent cosmetics brands through consumer preference surveys.

In the 21st century, the development of cosmetics is led to pursue the high functionality of cosmetics with excellent effectiveness and safety. As Cosmetic Act took effect in 2000, functional cosmetics is provided in the law. As a result, the research and development of functional cosmetics has continually increased, and the number of patent applications in functional cosmetics has also rapidly increased as a plan for preoccupying in the functional cosmetics age. Now, the cosmetic industry has a great interest in developing anti-wrinkle cosmetics among functional cosmetics, because women's desire for having young resilient skin has increased since Korea entered an aging society thanks to the advanced medical technology. The patent application trends of anti-wrinkle cosmetics at home since 2000 particularly show the rapid increase in the applications in natural plant extracts. It may be because Korean consumers preference of vegetable cosmetics has resulted in the development of raw materials based on the traditional medicine. As for the existing preparation such as Retinoid or Ascorbic acid, the patent application itself will be an essential technical element in the future because patent applications are filed in the field of a preparation of cosmetics for stabilizing ingredients, reducing skin irritability or promoting absorbance, and in the field of cosmetic formulation technology. As there are many studies on the causes of skin wrinkles, it is expected that new raw materials of cosmetics can be developed due to new mechanisms, and that the number of patent applications in new technologies will increase due to a change in the thought of cosmetics accompanied by the integration of cosmetics with biotechnology using Genetic Engineering, including the practical application of the medicine previously used far treating skin diseases to an anti-wrinkle agent and the mass production of active ingredients of cosmetics.

이 연구에서는 화장품 중 사용한도 성분으로 지정되어 있으나 아직 분석방법이 개발되지 않은 살균 보존 성분으로 사용되는 zinc pyrithione (ZnPT)에 대한 분석방법을 개발 확립하기 위한 목적으로 국 내외 자료 및 문헌을 조사하여 분석방법을 설정하였으며, 분석방법의 유효성 확인에 필요한 base matrix 시료의 선정을 위해 대상성분들의 사용량 및 사용제품들에 대한 자료를 조사하였다. Base matrix 시료를 선정·제조한 후 분석방법 유효성 확인 절차에 따라 각 대상성분들에 대한 분석방법의 유효성을 확인하였으며 실험실간 분석방법의 유효성 확인 수행을 통해 개발된 분석방법을 검증하여 확립하였다. 최종적으로 실제 시중 유통 화장품을 대상으로 개발된 분석방법을 적용하여 분석방법의 적합성을 검증하였다. 이 연구를 통해 개발된 분석방법을 '화장품 중 배합한도 성분 분석법 가이드라인'으로 제시함으로서 국내 시장 유통화장품의 검정에 활용되어 품질의 향상 및 국민 보건 안전성이 증진될 것이며 국내 화장품 산업의 국제 경쟁력 강화로 인해 수출 증대에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

현재 화장품 연구업무 및 수출입업무 종사자들이 많이 사용하고 있는 ICID 및 장원기 등의 화장품 원료규격집과 각종 원료메이커들이 제공하는 원료의 기술자료, MSDS 등의 기술문서를 연관 데이터베이스로 처리하여 인터넷 서버&클라이언트의 구조를 통해 사용자들에게 제공되어질 수 있는 온라인형 데이터베이스 프로그램을 개발하였고, 이를 완성한 도구로서 서버로는 Linux Machine을 사용하였고, 데이터베이스서버로는 MySQL Server를, CGI Tool로는 PHP를 사용하였다. 또한 데이터베이스 구조상 차후 확장성을 대비하여 데이터베이스를 연관구조로 작성하였으며, 이는 데이터의 중복성을 피하여 화장품 원료정보의 검색 효율을 높일 수 있었고, 차후 다른 화장품관련데이터베이스와의 상호 연계의 인터페이스를 마련할 수 있었다. 데이터베이스의 특성상 한번 구축되면 원하는 형태로의 자료변환 및 재구성이 용이하여, 아직까지 화장품 원료 데이터베이스가 구축되어 있지 못한 국내현실을 볼 때 본 프로그램이 화장품업계의 소중한 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

This work reported the trends of bioceramic materials for beauty-care applications with the several represent examples - tone-up, sun-care and anti-pollution cosmetics. The development of cosmetic techniques was discussed and reviewed with various ceramic hybrid materials. Moreover, we also reported the preparation and application of functional cosmetics with silicified liposome particles as a good make-up material for controlled release with natural compounds. The homogeneous loading and highly controlled-release formulation with porous and silicified ceramic liposome ceramic materials were discussed.

화장품 시장은 2026년의 초고령사회(Super aged society)가 예측되는 만큼 타 산업과 비교하여 지속적 시장 창출이 기대되는 산업이고, 우리나라 역시 고령화 시대의 진입 속에서 항노화에 관한 관심이 증대되고, 이에 관한 결과로 기능성 화장품에 대한 수요가 증가가 나타났다. 특히, 노년층을 위한 기능성 성분 소재에 관한 연구가 증가하고 있다. 소재 개발의 연구는 화장품 산업에 있어서 신제품 개발로 이어지는 아주 중요한 과정이다. 본 연구는 학술정보시스템(Research information Shining Service, RISS)을 이용하여 국내 천연주름 개선 기능성 화장품 소재개발을 주제로 한 연구를 중심으로 주름 개선화장품의 연구 방향에 대한 여러 가지 주름생성 저해 방법을 실험한 결과와 신소재에 대한 안전하면서도 주름 개선기능이 탁월한 천연 소재 주름 개선 기능성 성분에 관한 최신 연구 동향을 살펴보았다.

As raw materials, the inorganic pigments, such as mica, talc and some metal oxides were mainly used in Make-Up cosmetics. Some other polymerics, organics and functional pigments were also used to cope with the various consumer's demends. Recently, excellent sliding, adhensivness, coverture and UV cutting properties were strongly required in Make-Up cosmetics. According to these demends, it needs to understand the functional properties of each pigment and consider the proper use for some purpose. And so, this report introduce the properties of inorganics, polymerics and functional pigments and their application fields for Make-Up cosmetics.

기능성 화장품이라 함은 피부미백, 주름개선, 자외선차단 등 특정한 기능을 가지고 피부에 효과를 주는 화장품을 말했다. 그런데 2017년 이후 기능성 화장품의 품목이 확대되었다. 대한민국의 기능성 화장품 산업은 미백, 주름, 자외선 차단 제품에 머물고 새로운 기능성 제품의 개발은 미비한 상태이다. 또한 코스메슈티컬과 메디컬 화장품을 비롯한 고기능성 화장품도 아직 정립되지 않은 상태이다. 그리고 국외에 수출실적 순위는 프랑스가 가장 높았고 미국, 독일 순으로 나타났다. 프랑스는 화장품 산업 업계 1위 국가답게 바이오 공업과 기능성 소재에서 메커니즘 중심의 기능성 화장품을 강조하고 있고 미국은 럭셔리 프리미엄 제품에 수요도가 높았으며 독일은 바이오 하이테크 기술에 주목하고 있다. 이처럼 한국도 신흥 산업에 적용할 수 있는 기능성 화장품들의 새로운 소재들을 개발하고 정치와 경제가 뒷받침 되어 연구에 더 집중할 수 있는 환경이 갖춰져 다양한 기능성 화장품 산업 등을 발전시켜 나아가야 할 것이다.

Silver-containing antimicrobial inorganic pigments that have been developed so far still have problems, which result from silver's unique metallic color and discoloration. Therefore, those things are used only for make-up cosmetics or just the restricted amount is used. Although the use of white-base pigments or iron oxides has been considered to solve those problems, they virtually fail to serve as a perfect substitute. So it seems difficult to use enough quantity of those materials or to apply them to diverse kinds of products. The purpose of this study was, accordingly, to attain the complete removal of metallic color and the maintenance of color. Additionally, a rosemary extract was employed to develop a silver-containing inorganic antimicrobial pigment(Ag-AIP-R) that has an improved antimicrobial effect and anti oxidative effect.

The purpose of this study is to offer basic data on cosmetics by investigating college women's purchasing and use behaviors regarding cosmetics according to their experience with side effects. A questionnaire was administered to 351 college women in the Seoul and Kyoung-in areas. The data were analyzed with SPSS Statistics V22.0 using frequency, ${\chi}^2$-test, and t-test. The results are as follows. First, 72.6% of surveyed women reported experiencing side effects from cosmetics. The largest side effects were acne and boils, and the primary ways of coping with these side effects were discontinuing use and using other products. Second, the group that experienced cosmetics' side effects used brands that were more expensive and eco-friendly than the group without side effects. Third, the group that experienced side effects continued to use the product more than the group without side effects. The primary reason for continued use was efficacy, and the reasons for discontinued use were efficacy and curiosity. Fourth, the side-effects group proactively identified cosmetics ingredients more than the non-side-effects group. Specifically, they checked the major components, the function, and for any hazardous ingredients. Fifth and finally, 98.3% of survey respondents purchased and used functional cosmetics. The group that had experience with side effects used more functional cosmetics than the group without side effects.
