Effect of Crystallization Treatment on the Magnetic Properties of Amorphous Strips Based on Co-Fe-Ni-B-Si-Cr Containing Nitrogen

  • Co-Fe-Ni-B-Si-Cr based amorphous strips containing nitrogen were manufactured via melt spinning, and then devitrified by crystallization treatment at the various annealing temperatures of $300^{\circ}C{\sim}540^{\circ}C$ for up to 30 minutes in an inert gas $(N_2)$ atmosphere. The microstructures were examined by using XRD and TEM and the magnetic properties were measured by using VSM and B-H meter. Among the alloys, the amorphous ribbons of $Co_{72.6}Fe_{9.8}Ni_{5.5}B_{2.4}Si_{7.1}Cr_{2.6}$ containing 121 ppm of nitrogen showed relatively high saturation magnetization. The alloy ribbons crystallized at $540^{\circ}C$ showed that the grain size of $Co_{72.6}Fe_{9.8}Ni_{5.5}B_{2.4}Si_{7.1}Cr_{2.6}$ alloy containing 121 ppm of nitrogen was about f nm, which exhibited paramagnetic behavior. The formation of nano-grain structure was attributed to the finely dispersed Fe4N particles and the solid-solutionized nitrogen atoms in the matrix. Accordingly, it can be concluded that the nano-grain structure of 5nm in size could reduce the core loss within the normally applied magnetic field of 300A/m at 10kHz.

  • 국내에서 개발 중인 차세대 혁신형 안전경수로인 iPOWER는 피동용융노심냉각계통의 도입을 통해 중대사고시 노심용융물을 원자로 하부에서 장기간 냉각하고 안정화시키고자 한다. 아직 피동용융노심냉각계통의 최종 설계개념이 확정되기 전이나, 원자로용기 외벽냉각을 통한 노심용융물의 노내 억류 역시 주요 중대사고 대처 전략의 하나로 검토되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 개발된 열수력 계통해석코드인 MARS-KS를 이용하여 원자로용기와 단열체 사이에서 형성되는 2상 자연순환 유동을 모의하였다. 냉각수의 유로를 일차원으로 모델링하고, 노심용융물의 열부하에 따른 경계조건을 정의하여 자연순환 유량을 계산하였다. 또한 냉각수의 온도 및 수위, 원자로용기 하반구 주변 기포율 및 외벽에서의 열전달모드 등 주요 열수력 변수의 과도거동을 평가하였다.

Antiferroelectric Liquid Crystal from Bent-Core Molecule with Vinyl End Group

  • Three banana-shaped achiral compounds, 4-chloro-1,3-phenylene bis [4-{4-(undecenyloxy)phenyl imino-methyl} benzoate] derivatives, were synthesized with variation of a substituent (x=H, F, Cl); their antiferro-electric properties are described. The smectic mesophases, including a switchable chiral smectic C(Sm $C^{\ast}$) phase, were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, polarizing optical microscopy, triangular wave method, and X-ray diffractometry. The presence of vinyl groups at the terminals of linear side wings in the banana-shaped achiral molecules induced a decrease in melting temperature and formation of the switchable Sm $C^{\ast}$ phase in the melt. The smectic phase having a lateral fluorine-substituent at 3-position of the Schiff's base moiety showed antiferroelctric switching, and the value of spontaneous polarization on reversal of an applied electric field was 250 nC/$cm^2$ .

무주 왕정리 일대 구상 화강편마암의 성인과 형성시기 (The Origin and Age of the Orbicular Granite Gneiss in Wangjungri, Muju)

  • 무주군 왕정리 지역에서 구상 화강편마암이 초기 원생대 변성퇴적암류를 관입하는 우백질 복운모 화강암내에 포획체의 형태로 나타난다. 우백질 복운모 화강암의 전암성분 분석치와 SHRIMP 저어콘 연대측정 결과는 우백질 복운모 화강암이 $1875{\pm}75$ Ma에 대륙 충돌 환경에서 형성된 S-type 화강암임을 지시한다. 우백질 복운모 화강암내에 나타나는 구상 화강편마암으로부터 추출된 모나자이트에 대한 SHRIMP 분석에 의해 구상 화강편마암을 형성시킨 변성작용 시기가 $1867{\pm}4$ Ma임이 밝혀졌고 이 변성 연령은 우백질 복운모 화강암의 관입시기와 오차 범위내에서 유사하다. 이는 우백질 복운모 화강암 관입시 마그마내로 침강한 변성퇴적암이 마그마에 의해 $650-740^{\circ}C$, 4-6.5 kbar 정도의 열변성작용을 받아 구상 화강편마암이 만들어졌음을 지시한다. 열변성 작용시 근청석을 주로 하는 구상 화강편마암의 핵부가 만들어졌고 이때 일부 구상 화강편마암에서는 석영 및 장석을 포함한 일부 광물이 용융되어 만들어진 우백질 용융체가 핵부를 빠져나온 후 핵부 주변에서 결정화하여 우백질 각부를 형성하였다. 구상 화강편마암이 형성된 후 마그마 분화작용 중 최후에 남아있던 열수가 구상 화강편마암에 침투하여 후퇴 변성작용을 일으키고 이때 근청석이 pinite화 되면서 세립의 녹니석과 견운모로 치환되었다. 무주 화강편마암은 퇴적기원의 변성암이므로 앞으로는 무주 화강암질 편마암으로 명명하는 것이 적합하다.

Preparation of Eudragit coated solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) for hydrophilic drug delivery

  • 수용성 약물의 캡슐화 효율을 높이기 위하여 eudragit이 코팅된 SLN을 제조하였고 TEM을 이용하여 그 형태가 양호하게 형성된 것을 확인하였다. DLS를 이용하여 형성된 입자의 분포와 크기를 확인하였으며 옥용산을 포함하는 E-SLN은 ${\pm}180$ nm, ascorbic acid는 ${\pm}150$ nm의 크기를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 캡슐화 효율은 옥용산을 경우 41%, ascorbic acid는 33%로 나타났으며, 이는 E-SLN이 수용성 약물을 캡슐화하는 데 유용함을 보여준다.

중대사고관리를 위한 훈련도구(TRAIN)의 개발 (Development of TRAIN for Accident Management)

  • 중대사고관리는 원전의 노심손상사고를 예방하거나 완화시키기 위하여 기존의 가용자원이나 시스템, 운전의 행위를 사용하는 것을 말한다. 제어실이나 기술지원반을 위하여 중대사고관리를 위하여 개발된 TRAIN(Training pRogram for Accident Management Program In Nuclear Power Plant)의 초기문자로 명명된 시스템을 본 논문에 소개하였다. TRAIN은 중대사고현상 KB(Knowledge Base)와 사고시나리오 KB, 제어도와 함께 사고관리 절차도 그리고 필요정보로 구성되어있으며 제어실이나 기술지원반에게 중대사고의 현상지식을 취득하게 하고, 발전소의 취약특성을 파악하게 하며, 상당한 스트레스하에서 주어진 문제를 해결하게 하는데 본 연구의 결과는 기여할 것이다.

원자력 발전소 사고의 근사적인 베이지안 예측기법 (An Approximation Method in Bayesian Prediction of Nuclear Power Plant Accidents)

  • A nuclear power plant can be viewed as a large complex man-machine system where high system reliability is obtained by ensuring that sub-systems are designed to operate at a very high level of performance. The chance of severe accident involving at least partial core-melt is very low but once it happens the consequence is very catastrophic. The prediction of risk in low probability, high-risk incidents must be examined in the contest of general engineering knowledge and operational experience. Engineering knowledge forms part of the prior information that must be quantified and then updated by statistical evidence gathered from operational experience. Recently, Bayesian procedures have been used to estimate rate of accident and to predict future risks. The Bayesian procedure has advantages in that it efficiently incorporates experts opinions and, if properly applied, it adaptively updates the model parameters such as the rate or probability of accidents. But at the same time it has the disadvantages of computational complexity. The predictive distribution for the time to next incident can not always be expected to end up with a nice closed form even with conjugate priors. Thus we often encounter a numerical integration problem with high dimensions to obtain a predictive distribution, which is practically unsolvable for a model that involves many parameters. In order to circumvent this difficulty, we propose a method of approximation that essentially breaks down a problem involving many integrations into several repetitive steps so that each step involves only a small number of integrations.

Simulations of fiber spinning and film blowing based on a molecular/continuum model for flow-induced crystallization

  • This paper describes the application of our recently developed two-phase model for flow-induced crystallization (FIC) to the simulation of fiber spinning and film blowing. 1-D and 2-D simulations of fiber spinning include the combined effects of (FIC), viscoelasticity, filament cooling, air drag, inertia, surface tension and gravity and the process dynamics are modeled from the spinneret to the take-up roll device (below the freeze point). 1-D model fits and predictions are in very good quantitative agreement with high- and low-speed spinline data for both nylon and PET systems. Necking and the associated extensional softening are also predicted. Consistent with experimental observations, the 2-D model also predicts a skin-core structure at low and intermediate spin speeds, with the stress, chain extension and crystallinity being highest at the surface. Film blowing is simulated using a "quasi-cylindrical" approximation for the momentum equations, and simulations include the combined effects of flow-induced crystallization, viscoelasticity, and bubble cooling. The effects of inflation pressure, melt extrusion temperature and take-up ratio on the bubble shape are predicted to be in agreement with experimental observations, and the location of the frost line is predicted naturally as a consequence of flow-induced crystallization. An important feature of our FIC model is the ability to predict stresses at the freeze point in fiber spinning and the frost line in film blowing, both of which are related to the physical and mechanical properties of the final product.l product.

레이더 흡수특성이 있는 저적외선 방출 복합섬유의 제조 및 특성 연구 (Preparation and Characterization of Low Infrared Emissivity Bicomponent Fibers with Radar Absorbing Property)

  • Heavy weight of the camouflage materials was always the main problem. To solve it, the low infrared emissivity fibers with the radar absorbing property (LIFR) were prepared. The low infrared emissivity fibers (LIF) were firstly melt-spun by co-extrusion of polypropylene (PP) and PP/various fillers master-batches using general conjugate spinning. The infrared emissivity of LW with AA and ZnO was decreased respectively compared with that of pure polypropylene fibers. The infrared emissivity of LIF with 15 wt% Al and 2 wt% ZnO in the sheath-part can reach 0.58. To improve LIF radar absorbing property, LIFR was prepared by filling the 50 wt% ferrite and bronze in the core-part of LIF. The radar absorbing efficacy of LIFR was good and the infrared emissivity was low. For the characterization, fiber electron intensity instrument and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were used for the analysis of mechanical properties, thermal and crystallization behavior of the spun-fibers. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was carried out to observe the particle distribution of the bicomponent fibers.

자동차 스티어링 휠에 조립되는 플라스틱 베젤의 변형 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Deformation Optimization of a Plastic Bezel Assembled on the Steering Wheel of an Automobiles)

  • In this study, plastics were deformed after molding due to the characteristics of the material. The Taguchi experimental design method was utilized to find the molding conditions that minimized deformation of the plastic bezel to be assembled in an automotive steering wheel. The injection molding conditions applied to the experimental design method are the melt temperature, cavity plate coolant temperature, core plate coolant temperature, and cooling time. Each condition was divided into five levels, and a total of 25 experiments were planned. However, instead of performing 25 actual molding experiments, the injection molding analysis was performed using the Moldflow program, and the deformation values for each molding analysis were obtained. The optimal molding conditions were obtained from these deformation values. The actual injection molding experiment using optimal molding conditions was compared with the deformation amount of the current molded product. The deformation was measured using a precise 3D scanner. The deformation amount of the molded product under optimal molding conditions was 16.1% lower than the deformation amount of the current molded product.
