A sediment core drilled from Lake langer on King George Island was analyzed for a variety of textural md geochemical properties along with $^{14}C$ age dates. These data were combined with published records of other cores to provide a detailed history of Holocene variation of total organic carbon (TOC) contents with respect to terrestrial paleoclimate change. The lithologic contrast of the lower diamicton and upper fine-grained sediments shows the glacier activity and subsequent lake formation. Low TOC contents fluctuated during the diamicton deposition whereas the increase of TOC began with the lake formation during the postglacial period that started about 5,000 yr B.p More notable are the distinct TOC peaks that may imply enhanced primary productivity during the warm period. The uniform and low TOC contents may reflect the limited productivity during the evolution of the lake. However, the recent TOC readvance clearly indicates gradual warming on King George Island. However, the paleoclimatic signature in the terrestrial lake environment during the Holocene seems to be subtle and less distinct, compared to the marine environment.

In the recent year, the need for effective searching for e-learning contents has emerged as a revitalization of e-learning. Therefore, there are many studies for the contents searching method that make use of semantic web technology. Also, there are many studies to apply the ontology as the core technology of sematic web to e-learning. In this study, we bind the KEM(Korea Education Metadata) that enacted as the first technical standard of e-learning, KS X7001, in Dec. 2004 with OWL to use the metadata for a effective searching with ontology through the solving of the problem of metadata. And, we discuss some problems that occur in progress of binding and the solutions.

This study analyzes factors that influence use diversity or usage of mobile video services. This study conducts multiple regression analysis to draw the major factors that affect use diversity or usage of mobile video services. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, IPTV membership status, DMB watching status, and TV contents broadcasting status affect the use diversity of mobile video services. Second, TV contents broadcasting status and video streaming quality affect the usage of mobile video services. This study provides some implications that TV contents broadcasting is a core element in mobile video services. The future research is discussed.

This study focuses on the phenomenon that K-POP has become spotlight as killer contents which can be spread over the world beyond Asia. In order to identify critical factors of successful impact of K-POP on other cultures, the influence of the change in media on the globalization of popular culture was explored and the related requirements were analyzed. Furthermore, the potential markers for K-POP, a core field of the Korean Wave, were also analyzed and specific factors such as effective infrastructure of among producer of contents, platform subscriber, network provider, terminal enterprise and retailers for building new businesses model were investigated in detail.

With the development of digital content software production technology and the technological progress of related hardware, the social status quo in the post-epidemic era, the popularization and application of 5G networks, the market and consumers' increasing demand for digital content products, artificial intelligence, virtual digital human, virtual Idols, virtual live, self-media content and metaverse-related content industries are all developing rapidly. Virtual idols, virtual digital human, etc. are not only accelerating innovation in production technology. The economic cost, technical difficulty and time requirements of production are also greatly reduced. With the arrival and development of the Metaverse, the author believes that the content industry with virtual digital humans as the core will continue to develop in the direction of refinement, specialization, facilitation and customization. In this article, we will analyze and study the production of virtual digital human based on Photoscan technology and Unreal Engine 5 Metahuman software, and discuss the application status and future development of related content.

Barrage language is a new media language based on Internet video. It is a representative expression of the Internet environment regardless of its format and content. As a unique movie viewing characteristic provided by the barrage function, the timeliness of feedback, entertainment, and interactivity of the content are excellent. Characteristic. Barrage language itself is closely related not only to the value of linguistic research, but also to the spread of the Internet in the Internet environment. Based on the current situation of Chinese video sites, this thesis explores how Barrage is an organic cycle of culture and consumption in a specific platform and group, and analyzes its propagation methods and effects. This study investigated news comprehension via the social media by comparing the reading of a news story on the news paper. A news story on the social media was suggested to present information in a conversational form, which differs from a traditional reporting style. To compare the different forms of news information presentation, two conditions were created: in a control condition, a news story was written in a traditional reporting form. In the experimental condition, the same news story was constructed in a conversational form. Participants were assigned randomly in one of two conditions. They read the news story and afterwards, they were asked to recall firstly, the core idea of the news story, secondly the whole news story, and finally to answer to the 10 questions that assessed how well they learned from the news story. Participants' responses were content-analyzed and produced six variables, the extent to recall the core idea, the extent to recall the whole story, the extent to recall wrong information, the extent to recall additional information, the extent to recall causally related contents in general, and finally the extent to recall causally related contents in story-specific. Analyses on the six variables revealed that the group in the news paper condition recalled more core idea, the whole story, and additional information than the group in the social media. But the news paper condition recalled less of wrong information than the group in the social media condition. Additionally, the news paper condition learned more than the group in the social media. Regarding the recall of causally related contents, the general causal relationships were recalled more in the group in the social media condition but the story specific causal relationships were recalled more in the group in the news paper condition. The findings seemingly indicated that a traditional news reporting contributes to news story comprehension more than the conversational form. Authors however added discussions and advised that the findings needed to be read under caution.

This study was performed to compare antioxidant activities of 80% EtOH extracts from young and mature fruit of three pear cultivars ('Wonhwang', 'Whangkeumbae', and 'Chuwhangbae') classified by three parts (peel, core, and flesh) of mature fruit. The total phenolics compound and flavonoid contents of 80% EtOH extracts from young fruit were 1.5-2.5 times higher than the mature fruit with great cultivar difference. In particular, the contents of those compounds were highest in 'Chuwhangbae' pear. The total phenolics compound and flavonoid contents of 80% EtOH extracts from mature fruit were the most in the peel, core, and flesh respectively. DPPH radical scavenging and $ABTS^+$ radical scavenging of 80% EtOH extracts from the young fruit were higher than the mature fruit of 'Chuwhangbae' pear. DPPH radical scavenging and ABTS+ radical scavenging of 80% EtOH extracts from mature fruit were the highest in the peel, core, and flesh respectively.

Under the influence of growing popularity of "hallyu" (Korean wave), corporates that have copyrights such as music, movie, drama as their core competitiveness are showing continuing growth. In Addition, they built on contents are rapidly growing, interests in protection and management of intellectual property rights linked to contents are growing. Global contents development corporates are making great efforts to create profits out of copyrights. They could utilize original contents to strengthen brand value use it to produce additional contents in current market. Also they take advantage of existing storyline of the contents and strong brand to explore new markets. This paper looks into Value articulation model by Professor James Conley and analyzed the firms that utilized intellectual property rights to extend the period of protection, strengthen their competitiveness and succeeded in breaking into new market by using the rights they possess. Also, this paper examines the usage of intellectual property rights and business expansion strategy of of Iconix, the Korean entertainment company, which gained tremendous popularity in last ten years using this model. In Value articulation model, Conley classifies the process of exploiting the portfolio of the single product's(or service's) intellectual property right for a period of time into three stages ; value transference, value translation, value transportation. Pororo's strategy of utilizing intellectual property right is suggestive to domestic entertainment companies. Under the influence of hallyu" (Korean wave), domestic contents such as movies, dramas and music are enjoying the high level of popularity recently not to mention animations. In reality, Korean entertainment companies who have no background or experience of Intellectual property rights are not creating enough added values compared to fast growing market. It is believed Iconix's intellectual property rights management strategy will suggest positive aspects to domestic companies. Moreover, I hope various intellectual property rights management strategies including Conley's value articulation are studied and they can make contributions to managing domestic entertainment companies.

A web-based model for implementation of mobile compliance analysis system for software contents is proposed. It is said that the content is compliant if the content can be executed properly in mobile environment. The mobile compliance analysis of contents is very important because contents can't be serviced if they arc not proper for mobile environment. The categories of mobile compliance analysis for software contents are proposed. The model of this paper uses the Factory Method pattern and the Facade pattern. The workflow of the s${\gamma}$stem is described through collaborations of classes in the model. As a case study, core Java APIs for implementation of the model arc represented and the mobile compliance analysis system for HDML contents has been built. The model is flexible so that it is easy to add new modules or remove some modules for contents analysis. Although the model is based on the JSP and Java beans, it can be expanded to support any other programming technique such as EJB.
