A Study on SVD & DWT -based watermarking for protecting rightful ownership (정당한 소유권 보호를 위한 DWT와 SVD기반의 디지털 워터마킹에 대한 연구)

  • Digital watermarking is technique, which owner's information is inserted in digital image, with intention to protecting a copyright of digital image. In watermarking for copyright and authentication, watermark shouldn't be distorted or disappeared after general image processes like a compression and filtering. In this paper, we present a new digital image watermarking algorithm which combines the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and the singular value decomposition (SVD). Simulation results show that the newly proposed algorithm is not only robust nevertheless variable attacks like noise, filtering and JPEG compression but also secure in application.

  • With widespread use of the Internet and improvements in streaming media and compression technology, digital music, video, and image can be distributed instantaneously across the Internet to end-users. However, most conventional Digital Right Management are often not secure and fast enough to process the vast amount of data generated by the multimedia applications to meet the real-time constraints. In this paper, we propose the copyright protection using encryption of DCT coefficients and motion vector in MPEG-4 video codec of mobile device. This paper presents a new Digital Rights Management that modifies the Motion Vector of Macroblock for mobile device. Experimental results indicate that the proposed DRM can not only achieve very low cost of the encryption but also enable separable authentication to individual mobile devices such as Portable Multimedia Player and Personal Digital Assistants. The performance of the proposed methods have low complexity and low increase of bit rate in overhead.

Multipurpose Watermarking Scheme Based on Contourlet Transform (컨투어렛 변환 기반의 다중 워터마킹 기법)

  • This paper presents multipurpose watermarking scheme in coutourlet transform domain for copyright protection, authentication and transform detection. Since contourlet transform can detect more multi direction edge and smooth contour than wavelet transform, the proposed scheme embeds multi watermarks in contourlet domain based on 4-level Laplacian pyramid and 2-level directional filter bank. In the first stage of the robust watermarking scheme for copyright protection, we generates the sequence of circle patterns according to watermark bits and projects these patterns into the average of magnitude coefficients of high frequency directional subbands. Then the watermark bit is embedded into variance distribution of the projected magnitude coefficients. In the second stage that is the semi-fragile watermarking scheme for authentication and transform detection, we embed the binary watermark image in the low frequency subband of higher level by using adaptive quantization modulation scheme. From the evaluation experiment using Checkmark 2.1, we verified that the proposed scheme is superior to the conventional scheme in a view of the robustness and the invisibility.

  • Recently, according to the product variety of multimedia content some problems are occurred as like an illegal copying, an illegal distribution and a copyright infringement etc. So, for the solution of these problems, some methods were proposed as like watermarking which inserts the information of copyright to the content and the cipher for authentication to DRM which prevents an illegal copying using RSA. In this paper, the multimedia fingerprint based on BIBD code is inserted to the bit-plane of the image content for DRM with RSA, and while the decoding processing. The experiment is operated with the consideration of the image transmission and the transformation. As a result it confirmed that the multimedia fingerprint code inserted in image is detected 60% upper at AWGN 7dB and detected completely 100% at AWGN 10dB upper on PSNR 30, 40, 70 and 80 of Stirmark attacks.

  • Digital watermarking has been proposed for copyright protection of digital data. According to the property of an embedded watermark, it is classified into two categories, robust watermarking and fragile watermarking. The former is used for copyright protection, and the latter applies to the authentication/integrity to verify the authenticity of data, If an Image has been modified or forged. the embedded watermark cannot be extracted from the Image. As a results, it is possible to defect the modification of the image. As pixels are represented by tilts, the modification of bits corresponds to the alteration of the image. In this paper, a new fragile watermarking is proposed In which two watermarks are embedded in order to detect some modification occurred In high and low bit Planes. From simulation results, the embedded watermark is Invisible in a watermarked image and we can locale some Places where the modification occurring

  • Recently, acgis of authentication and crcator's copyright has become a matter of great concern by the diffusion of multimedia technique and the growth of the internet and the easily duplicated property of digital data. Consequently, many active researches have been made to protect copyright and to assure integrity by inserting watermark into the digital data. In this paper, watermark is repealed through the entire image and adapted to the content of the image. Achieved by an underlying process of transforming the digital image to the frequency domain by wavelet transform, which has three (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) directions and Multi-resolution features, and then choosing frequency area inferior to the human perceptibility and significant for invisible and robust watermark. We realize wavelet based image watermarking using Machine Vision of LabVIEW.

  • The use of digital imaging technique and digital contents based on internet has grown rapidly for last several years, and the needs of digital image protection become more important. For the purpose of copyright protection on digital image, the verification of authentication techniques like content authentication, ownership authentication, illegal copy and etc are needs. Digital watermarking, the invisible encryption technique to insert digital watermarking into image, the sophisticated perceptual information should be used for providing transparency and robustness of images on watermarking process. In this paper, we implement the algorithm for preventing forged attack. ownership protection and authentication by transforming the wavelet algorithms in frequency domain in terms of human visual system.

The Server based Realtime Biometric Signature Scheme (서버 기반 실시간 바이오메트릭 서명 기법)

  • In a biometric authentication scheme, a user's biometric data that is unique to the user is used to prove the user's identity to the third party. Since the user should have to participate in every authentication sessions, it's not possible to delegate other users to authenticate instead of himself/herself. In a biometric signature scheme, contrary to authentication scheme, a user's biometric data is used to prove that "this message is signed by the signer who claims to be" to the third party. However, once the biometric key is created, it can be accessed by the signer. Thus, it's possible to lend the biometric key to other users. In this study, the server based biometric realtime signature scheme is proposed. The proposed scheme can be applied to sign the vote in electronic voting or to authenticate the copyright owner in DRM enabled mobile commerce where the proxy signatures are not allowed.
