The Effects of Jigsaw II Expert Groupings on Studentis Knowledge, Inquiry Ability and Attitudes at Elementary School Science Study (전문가집단을 활용한 Jigsaw II 협동학습이 과학지식, 탐구능력 및 학습태도에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, introduced open education, there are some models applied several cooperative teaming, but there is no case in applied Jigsaw Ⅱ. So this research is selected objects which are 147 students in the fifth grade in 1999' school year and 143 students in 2000's on Yongwon elementary school. It makes share a partial responsibility for planner, leader, investigator, helper, writer and reporter in the small groups, and apply the Jigsaw Ⅱ model. Qualitative and quantitative analyses show that they have effects of Jigsaw Ⅱ cooperative Learning on Student's knowledge, inquiry ability and attitudes on Elementary School Science Study. The final results are following. The significance of Knowledge has .02 in 1999 and .01 in 2000. Testification of Inquiry ability has 1.75 in 1999 and 2.25 in 2000. The significance of Attitudes has .03 in 1999 and .00 in 2000. Research that has emerged from the cooperative teaming has led us to better understandings of multi purposed roles, interactions, and communities that arise when students work together to team science. Each of students can also cooperative as co-builders, working as equal participants to create a product that is better than that while would have built by either individual alone. Upon asking their intention, cooperative loaming shows more participation.

  • One of the cooperative learning models, the cooperative learning of structural approach which is very simple and easily applicable accomplishes teaching-learning through combining learning contents and organic connections of various structures. This work proposes a cooperative teaching-learning model for the structural approach, designs and implements a web-based cooperative system supporting it. The model provides a concrete frame which can apply to a subject learning thus could effectively support cooperative learning. Furthermore, it classifies learning into three types such as knowledge learning, investigation, and function mastering and presents a structure application model for each so as to apply different structures according to learning materials and types. We implemented a system that performs cooperative learning on the basis of these models, applied to a class, and analyzed the effect of it.

Development of storytelling based Cooperative Learning Model for Preliminary childhood teachers (예비유아교사를 위한 스토리텔링기반 협동학습 모형 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to developing a cooperative learning model utilize storytelling technique to the Preliminary childhood teachers whose learning was in order to improve ability and collaboration of making relationships a teams members by the cooperative learning which was performed on the basis of the confidence after understanding themselves and others. To achieve the purpose, the study was performed by dividing into two stages. First, the draft of storytelling based cooperative learning model was proposed by performing a literature survey and a case study. Second, the draft model was applied to the actual work. And the draft was modified and developed to the final model on the basis of the draft model's strenth and implemented to 39 students who were the sophomore of child care education department and enrolled the profession class of at B college P city for 8 weeks. From the implementation result of the model, it was obtained that there was the positive reaction on applying storytelling technique to the beginning stage of cooperative learning. And adding of 'Re-constitution role sharing team' step in the original steps was suggested. In the end, this model was modified and issued based on the research result. The researchers proposed a cooperative learning model storytelling based for Preliminary childhood teachers which consists 6 phases : (1) understanding cooperative learning (2) Building the team and role sharing team (3) theme setting and theme structuralization (4) Re-constitution role sharing team (5) announcement of the results and evaluating (6) reflection of general.

The Impact of Social Entrepreneurship of the Members of Nonprofit Organizations on Cooperative Behavior -Focusing on the mediating effects of value congruence- (비영리조직 구성원의 사회적기업가정신이 가치일치를 매개로 협조적행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Study explores the effect of the member's social enterpreneurship at nonprofit organizations on cooperative behavior and proved the mediator effect of value congruency among individuals at those organizations. Examined on a nationwide scale with members at nonprofit organizations, this study indicated followings: 1. Innovativeness, Risk Management, and Social Mission. are valid 2. Innovativeness and Social Mission are related to cooperative behavior, 3. Value congruency with each other at an institution exerts positive effect on cooperative behavior, 4. Value congruency over social enterpreneurship and cooperative behavior partially, yet still positively, mediate social enterpreneurship to cooperative behavior. In other words, the higher the social enterpreneurship in each indivisual is, the higher the degree of value congruency among individuals is, leading to more frequent cooperative behavior. This study also suggests that enhancement of social enterpreureship in each individual at work through education should be considered.

  • Korean agriculture now faces a historic challenge due to globalization and decentralization. Agricultural cooperatives should be reborn to lead regional agriculture by reorganizing the regional agri-business and strengthening the competitive power of regional agriculture. It also needs to establish an integrated agricultural development plan and to expand the vision for future agriculture. To pursue these objectives, Agricultural Cooperatives should work together with the regional government and develop an enterprise with a competitive advantage in the region.

  • Holonic manufacturing system is a new approachto the organization and architecture of decentralized, autonomous and cooperative manufacturing system. The new paradigm combines the concepts of hierarchical systems and the integration of autonomous elements in distributed system. Today's scheduling and control techniques are mostly based on a centralized structure. Only little work has been done on scheduling and control of decentralized, autonomous and cooperative manufacturing system. This paper proposes a new approach IPM(Interactive Prediction Method) for scheduling and control of holonic manufacturing system.

  • In this work, we present a case study of using the assessments for the enhancement of students' learning motivation in engineering education. The assessments, given in between summative assessments such as midterms and finals, may have a component of formative evaluation, which are reported as very effective tools as the sources of feedback to improve teaching and learning. We studied how the students' performance is improved by additional tests in engineering education. Also, we examined the factors of successful results of the cooperative learning model, Student Teams-Achievement Division, which is based on imposing a number of tests, achieved in our previous work.

  • In this paper, we propose a method using neural network (NN) to improve the motion control of a decentralized control system for cooperative transportation. In our former work, a decentralized control system for transporting a single object by multiple nonholonomic mobile robots has been developed. One of these mobile robots acts as a leader, who is assumed to be able to plan and to manipulate the omnidirectional motion of the object.   • Between a wide range of distributed applications, this work is particularly focused on those applications which allow a group of persons, who are geographically distributed, to interact and cooperate exchanging different kind of information in order to realize group activities in a common work environment. In this paper we realized a study of this kind of applications to identify general and functional characteristics which will then enable us to determine their communication requirements. Also, we analyzed the existent support architectures to examine whether they support multimedia cooperative applications. Based on the results of analysis, we proposed a set of communication functions needed additionally to support these applications, using the ODP(Open Distributed Processing) modelling concepts, rules and view points as our global design methodology.

Cultivation of Peach by Orgnic Farming (유기농업에 의한 복숭아 재배)

  • Cultivation of peach by organic farming and cooperative form of work was attempted. The compost was made from egg shells and bread residues(bakery residues), falling leaves, and weeds. The cooperative teams of work were farmers, students and members of citizens' movement. The responses of participants for composting, though it's laboriousness and dirtiness, were favorable with feeling of doing good for social services. 20 chickens were raised in the peach orchard as one of the mixed farming. The pH and Ca content of ripened compost were 7.7 and 1.57 %, respectively. Controlling Aphids(plant louse)by ladybug was observed vividly. The size and sugar concentration were comparable to standard values even though rainy season and the number of damaged fruits were less than half(40%).
