  • Brassica juncea is a polyphenols enriched edible plant, with diverse medicinal uses of different parts of which have been mentioned in the Ayurveda. The effects of 10 daily oral doses (100, 200, and 400 mg/kg/day) of a methanolic Brassica juncea leaf extract in rat models of anxiety using nondiabetic and alloxan-diabetic rats were quantified. In all the three behavioural tests used, i.e. elevated plus maze, open field, and social interaction tests, anxiolytic-like activity of the extract was observed in the diabetic animals only. Quantitatively, the efficacy of the highest tested dose of the extract in these tests was always less than those observed after its lower ones. These observations provide further experimental evidences for the conviction that Brassica vegetables could as well be useful for combating diabetes associated mental health problems.

  • Ultimate lateral loaded pile capacity is influenced by soil conditions. Methods of calculating ultimate lateral loaded pile capacity in homogeneous soil were suggested by a lot of previous researchers.(Broms 1964, Petrasovits & Award 1972, Prasad & Chari 1999) There is only few homogeneous soil in actual condition, however, it could be not conviction that the methods from previous researchers are correct in multi-layered soil. In this study, ultimate lateral capacities were estimated from artificial multi-layered soils and were measured from lateral load test that were composed by various soil conditions. The influence of layered soil conditions were confirmed by comparing with two results.

First, wedding facilities include transportation, parking lots, subsidiary facilities, reception desks, Paebaek Rooms, and waiting rooms for brides. Secondly, according to the analysis for service quality of hotel wedding feasts, respondence and sympathy were not be fully considered while good effects showed through materiality, reliability and conviction. Thirdly, hotels will be expected to have re-visiting guests when the guests have good experience on the hotel facilities and satisfying menu. Alternatively, menu would have a negative result if there's not satisfying service. Employees should be aware of the list of menu and can be able to offer a suggestion. In other words, a banquet has to be prepared not only with fresh or seasoned ingredients but with good service to make the guests revisit. • As architects and interior designers work farther and farther afield, so the connection of buildings to the particular place they are constructed becomes increasingly. Also, during the past twenty years they have made a habit of asking probing and often uncomfortable questions about how architectural conventions force patterns of behavior. In place of bricks and mortar, they have mixed store, office, clinic, and residence. In this project, the buildings consist of pharmacy, store, dental clinic, oriental clinic and residence. This building was designed by architect to have panoramic views. The view of surrounding road from every wall becomes a constant point of reference, a back drop against which the whole house revolves. Now, all the words can be suitable for describing the oriental clinics. But the oriental clinics of these days may construct the unintentional common image, may be because of the clients sense about the finishing materials or colors in vogue. The Importance of identity in the design of oriental clinic becomes higher increasingly, and with the same reason, the conviction of interior designer.

  • The objectives of this study are to examine what are the important promotion activities and images when students choose the university. In order to this research, 277 students drawn from university in pusan area are utilized and 5 hypotheses are analyzed by t-test, anova and regression analysis. The principal findings of empirical study are as follows (1) the most important promotion activities are ranked as follows 1) advice from other peoples(family and teacher are ranked highly) 2) publicity 3) university brochure 4) guide magazine for university 5) university homepage etc. Against our expectation, TV (radio) ad. transit ad. newspaper ad. are ranked lowly among the factors. (2) this study reveals that the most important university images are possibility of good job employment and future growth, confidence, ability of research and lecture, specialization of major etc. but history and tradition, scale of uni. are ranked lowly among the factors. (3) this study reveals that seven universities those are analyzed have different images. In order to achieve the more effective promotion strategy, universities may strengthen their good images and make better their weak images. I have a conviction that the findings above can be applicable for university promotion strategy.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore conquest plans of the barrier and resistance in innovation management. In addition, this study is to describe the model of innovation resistance that reflects adoption process stages and identify the factors that drive the resistance of consumers and the barriers. Whenever organizations try to plan and implement some kind of innovation in organizations, they confront the resistance and barriers in many ways. By understanding innovation resistance and barrier, organizations can not only design better innovations but can develop strategies to reduce resistance and conquer the barriers. Thus they accelerate innovation. Also, these results indicate that people resist innovation strongly when it betrays their value, needs and beliefs or when they felt the pressure on self-conviction and mental risk, loss, and lack of knowledge. Understanding the factors that drive the innovation resistance and barrier has important implications for both theoretical development and managerial action.

  • In a longitudinal study, subjects can experience same type of events repeatedly. Also, there may exist intermittent dropouts resulting in repeated observation gaps during which no recurrent events are observed. Furthermore, when such observation gaps have incomplete forms caused by the unknown termination times of observation gaps, ordinary approaches result in biased estimates. In this study, we investigate the effect of ignoring observation gaps and propose methods to overcome this problem. For estimating the distribution of unknown termination times, an interval-censored mechanism is applied and two cases are considered. Simulation studies are carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. Conviction data of young drivers with several suspensions are analyzed to illustrate the suggested approach.
