  • The Purpose of this study was to convergence factors which affect the subject of basic dental hygienics in some dental hygiene students. The questionnaire was conducted in 450 dental hygiene students who had completed clinical practice. The level of self-confidence of the students was significantly higher if the level of satisfaction with the subject of basic dental hygienics was higher (r=0.365). Also, the level of self-confidence was significantly higher if the satisfaction with the major was higher (r=0.320) and the level of satisfaction with the major was significantly higher if the level of satisfaction with the subject of basic dental hygienics was higher (r=0.314). This study is expected to be used as a basic material for the development of systematic and convergence programs related with basic dental hygiene in connection with clinical practice.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the convergence factors affecting disease management efforts of the middle-aged population who have comorbidities of all three metabolic diseases: type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. This study used raw data from the 2015 community health survey(CHS). A multiple hierarchical regression analysis was performed that the included variables explained 20.1% of the variance in weight-loss efforts, 6.8% of exercise efforts and 5.3% diet efforts respectively. This study revealed associations among gender, socioeconomic status, and behavioral habits of smoking and drinking with disease-management efforts. It is important to design a health service or supportive intervention with consideration of multiple factors for patients with multiple metabolic disease.

  • This study is a secondary data analysis study that analyzed the data of the 8th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(2019) to identify factors that affect physical and mental health status according to the presence or absence of a spouse of the elderly. 𝜒2 test, logistic and linear regression analysis were performed on 1,510 elderly aged 65 years or older. As a result of the study, general characteristics (gender, age, education level, household income) and health-related characteristics (smoking, drinking, and physical activity) were adjusted according to the spouse status. As a result, compared to those without a spouse, the probability of diagnosis of arthritis (OR=0.673, p=.010) and the Possibility of experiencing depression (OR=0.535, p=003) lower. It was confirmed that the quality of life was significantly higher (B=0.023, p=.040). The results of this study can be used as basic data to determine the factors that influence the health status of the elderly by existence of spouses.

  • This study was convergence study to determine sleep and its factors in university students on the basis of Spielman's 3P model. The participants were 191 graduate and undergraduate students who were scheduled to take the exam after 1~2 weeks. The related variables of quality of sleep were self-control, stress, test anxiety, smartphone dependence, and daytime sleepiness. Chi-square test and t-test were used to make a comparison of the quality of sleep between the good and the bad sleep quality group. Pearson's coefficient correlation analysis was performed for correlation between the quality of sleep and the general characteristics, self-control, stress, test anxiety, smartphone dependence, and daytime sleepiness. Stress and test anxiety as precipitating factors for sleep disturbance, smartphone dependency as a perpetuating factor for sleep disorder, and daytime sleepiness as a sleep-related factor were correlated with the quality of sleep; no statistically significant correlation was found with self-control as a predisposing factor in the biopsychological area. It is necessary to solve such problems with mental health as stress and test anxiety, which are factors for sleep disturbance, and smartphone dependency as a perpetuating factor for sleep disorder, in pursuit of higher quality of sleep for university students.

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm if self-management and self-efficacy of diabetic nephropathy hemodialysis patients were influencing factors on the hemodialysis-related symptoms. A cross-sectional study was performed on 254 patients based at 3 University hospital hemodialysis centers and 7 hemodialysis clinics from September 2017 to November 2017. The data was analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that patients with stable economic condition and no complications from diabetes, the higher patient self-management and self-efficacy led to lower hemodialysis related symptoms. Therefore, the government should provide financial support, a management process needs to be set up to prevent complications from diabetes, and disease-specific patient self-management program should be implemented to increase patient's self-efficacy.

Data were collected with structured questionnaires in August 5 to August 29, 2020. A hierarchical regression analysis was performed to investigate the factors affecting the progress of cancer prevention and health promotion of nursing students. In Model I, the fit of the regression model was significant (F=2.543, p=.012), and grade (𝛽=.079, p=.011) was found to be a factor influencing the progress of cancer prevention health. Regression model fit of Model II (F=14.924, p<.005), age (𝛽=.079, p=.011), and health beliefs (𝛽=.078, p=.001) were related to cancer prevention and health promotion. appeared to have an impact. Therefore, the results of this study will help nursing students to develop and evaluate cancer prevention-related convergence programs.

  • The aim of this study was to apply the Importance-Performance Map (IPM) method based on PLS-SEM by extending the importance-performance analysis (IPA), which is an existing method to grasp strategic policies through the difference of importance and satisfaction of existing competitiveness factors. For this application, this study was applied to research related to policy measures that can survive and spread in global competition by analyzing strategic factors of information technology (IT) convergence industry. The development of IT convergence industry, which is the subject of this study, has the effect of revitalizing related industry development and employment activation. Therefore, this study expanded the possibility of applying this research methodology to research the strategic factors to activate exports of SMEs (Small and medium-sized enterprises) in the convergency industry. In order to achieve this goal, the analytical methodology of this study was applied and the policy measures for IT SMEs. Therefore, based on the analysis results of this study, this study can apply this research methodology to other fields as a strategic tool in establishing and enforcing policies for export activation of IT convergence industry.
