Convergence Factors Affecting Quality of Life of Wage Worker and Self-employed (임금근로자와 자영업자의 삶의 질 영향 요인에 대한 융합적 고찰)

  • This study was attempted to identify the differences in convergence variables that affect wage workers and self-employes' quality of life. The 2013-2017 National Health Nutrition Survey data were used. This study found the factors that affected the quality of life of wage workers were age, economic status, number of family members, marital status, feeling of depression, subjective health status (F = 5.06, p <.001.). Factors that affected the quality of life of self-employed were age, frequency of lunch, frequency of drinking, strength exercise day, BMI, Subjective body shape perception, stress and subjective health status (F = 8.60, p <.001). The results of this study show that in order to develop nursing interventions to improve the quality of life for workers, their characteristics and physical and psychological factors should be taken into account.

The Effect of the Fun Factors of Beauty Workers on the Attitude of Job and Self-Efficiency (뷰티종사자의 재미요인이 직무열의 및 자기효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of beauty workers' fun factors on job enthusiasm and self-efficacy. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, 324 beauty workers in Seoul and Gyeonggi region were selected as the study subjects. The data processing to identify the purpose of the study was to analyze the frequency of the demographic variables of the study subject, verify the reliability of each factor, and analyze the factors, and the correlation analysis between the fun factor, job enthusiasm and self-efficacy was used. Multi-regression was conducted to find out the effect of the variables, and the following research results were derived through such a research procedure. First, the fun factor of beauty workers was crazy about job enthusiasm. Second, the fun factor of beauty workers influenced self-efficacy, and third, job enthusiasm had an effect on self-efficacy.

Development of a Wellness Index for Workers (근로자를 위한 웰니스지표 개발)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a wellness index for workers (WIW) and examine the validity and reliability of the WIW for assessing workers' wellness. Methods: The developmental process for the instrument included construction of a conceptual framework based on a wellness model, generation of initial items, verification of content validity, preliminary study, extraction of final items, and psychometric testing. Content validity was verified by 4 experts from occupational health nursing and wellness disciplines. The construct validity, convergent validity and discriminant validity were examined with confirmatory factor analysis. The reliability was examined with Cronbach's alpha. The participants were 494 workers from two workplaces. Results: Eighteen items were selected for the final scale, and the results of the confirmatory factor analysis supported a five-factor model of wellness with acceptable model fit, and factors named as physical emotional social intellectual occupational wellness. The convergent and discriminant validity were also supported. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was .91. Conclusion: The results indicate that the WIW is a valid and reliable instrument to comprehensively assess workers' wellness, and to provide basic directions for developing workplace wellness program.

An Analysis of an Influencing Factor on Organizational Commitment of ICT Industrial Workers (ICT 산업 종사자의 조직몰입에 미치는 영향요인의 분석)

  • This study deduced an effect produced on organizational commitment of ICT Industrial workers through precedent study. And the importance of each factor was analyzed, regarding the deduced influencing factors. And influencing factors on organizational commitment of ICT Industrial workers were presented at a practical level on the basis of analysis results. According to the results of analysis, social support factors were interpreted as the most important influencing factor among the 1st hierarchical factors. According to the results of analysis after setting 12 factors for the 2nd hierarchical factor, 3 factors including emotional support, Informational support, and Substance/instrumental support, were interpreted as very important factors. However, psychological empowerment was analyzed to a relatively less critical.

  • The automation and Cell-Line of manufacturing process are going to be new trend in the industry spot. But workers bodily burden by manual labour is still doing repeatedly at many processes. It is appearing to workers bodily burden (Shoulder, waist, hand, wrist, leg) with repeating works at assembly line which is from the static working space. The analysis with 6 Sigma Tool at specific standard assembly line improve the point at issue for unsuitable items and analyzed objects. Physical pain of worker is solved by the improvement action for the factor of 7 items with the result of analysis. It was known to be improved by solving of workers burden related to the change of 6 Sigma level from 2.16 to 4.1 at assembly line.

Convergence Relationship between Occupational Stress and Fatigue Symptoms among Blue Collar Workers in Manufacturing Plants (제조업 생산직 근로자들의 직무스트레스와 피로와의 융복합적 관련성)

  • This study has been conducted to determine the fatigue symptoms(MFS) and its convergence association with occupational stress(KOSS) among small scale manufacturing male workers. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 428 workers employed in 14 work places under 50 members of manufacturing industries during the period from September 1st to 15th, 2015. As a results, the level of fatigue symptoms(MFS) was positively correlated with occupational stress(KOSS). Hierarchial multiple regression analysis revealed that the factors of influence with explanatory powers of 34.1% on fatigue symptoms(MFS) included sex, BMI, subject health status, smoking, regular exercise, drinking coffee, visiting out-patient department, sense of satisfaction in job life, and occupational stress(KOSS). Above results suggested that the level of occupational stress(KOSS) is so convergence influenced by variable factors as well as sociodemographic characteristics, health related characteristics and job-related characteristics, to a greater extent, by occupational stress(KOSS).

  • Purpose: This study aims to explore the correlation between job and hypertension. Hypertension is a major risk factor such as stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure, and vascular aneurysms. Research design, data and methodology: The data from this study are the 2017 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey classified into office workers and non-office workers. Frequency analysis was used for general characteristics analysis, and ANOVA test analysis was used for correlation between subjects' basic variables and blood pressure. The post analysis as turey was used to verify the validity of the statistical results. All statistical analyzes were performed using the IBM SPSS 24.0 program. Results: There was a difference in the prevalence of hypertension among office workers and non-office workers.

Develop and Evaluate the Short Form Biomedical Ethics Tool for Medical Workers In Convergence Era (융합 시대의 의료종사자를 위한 단축형 생명의료윤리 도구 개발 및 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a short biomedical ethics tool for healthcare workers, compare it with pre-existing tool, and increase reliability. Data were collected from 211 healthcare workers working in G-do. Exploratory factor analysis was carried out using Varimax rotation extraction method in IBM SPSS WIN/21.0. Convergent validity of the tool was verified by regression and correlation analysis with original tool score. Reliability was verified by calculating intraclass correlation coefficient and internal consistency coefficient. The short, reduced 21 questions tool reflected 84% of pre-existing tool's biomedical ethics. Its reliability was higher than the 29 question tool for nursing students, but there were differences in the components of subdomains and reliability coefficient. Additional development of questions through qualitative research and interviews are needed to increase reliability of the subdomains. Measurement of biomedical ethics dilemma with the tool that has validity and reliability is needed, followed by replication studies.

Convergence Effective Factors for Work Performance among Returning to Workers with Industrial Accident (산업재해 직업복귀자의 업무수행능력 융합적 영향 요인)

  • For workers, industrial accidents exert a bad effect on the productivity, quality of life, and depress the morale. This study aimed to examine the overall influence on job performance of employees who returned to work after industrial accidents. This was a cross-sectional study using the data of 2013 and 2014 Panel Study of Worker's Compensation Insurance (PSWCI), and we performed logistic-regression analysis to analyze an affinity between general characteristics and job performance as independent variable and outcome variable, respectively. As a result, the major factor depressed the job performance were the 1 - 7 degree of disabilities and injuries with convalescence period for 6 to 9month or more than 12 months. In other words, this study shown that job performance was decreased as higher degree of disability and longer convalescence period. Job performance is the factor to identify indirectly worker's successful return to work, and it is important in follow-up of workers who returned to work after industrial accidents. Stable job performance of an industrial disaster victim is the key factor to maintain worker's comfortable and qualitative life as well as increase of productive capacity.

  • This study analyzed mediating effect of job satisfaction between directors' leadership and workers' organizational commitment in senior clubs. A survey of 288 workers in Chungcheong and Daejeon was conducted. The statistical analysis methods were frequency, correlation, confirmatory factor analysis, and bootstrap. The analysis result was that directors' leadership had positive effect on workers' organizational commitment and mediating effect of job satisfaction was verified. For improving directors' leadership, it is necessary to develop various leadership education and training programs, to induce voluntary participation in the programs, and to include the participation of leadership program in facility evaluation. To advance workers' job satisfaction, we need various exchange programs with colleagues and peer groups, mentoring and rest service to manage emotional labor, and professional job education and supervision.
