  • Recent efforts of government to improve economic performance and increase employment through industrial convergence are being promoted actively. However, unfortunately, we have little of quantitative study on the following questions; (1) what is the rate of industrial convergence progressed?, and (2) what is the rate of total effects of industrial convergence spreaded?, and (3) which is the No. 1 industry in the magnitude of inductive effect of industrial convergence? In this study, we have measured and analyzed quantitatively the following questions using patent citation; (1) how is industrial convergence progressed?, and (2) how much has industrial convergence a effect on all industry?, and (3) what is the rate of the inductive effect of industrial convergence? In doing so, decision about industrial convergence has been made using patent citation and the effect of industrial convergence is drawn from convergence I/O table which made by patent citation.

  • This study involves enhancing the performance of the $Na(Li,Ti)O_2$ system as an Na-ion battery anode with the addition of Mg, which partially replaces Li ions. We perform both computational and experimental approaches to achieve a higher reversible capacity and a faster transport of Na ions for the devised system. Computational results indicate that the $Na(Li,Mg,Ti)O_2$ system can provide a lower-barrier path for Na-ion diffusion than can a system without the addition of Mg. Experimentally, we synthesize various $Na_z(Li_y,Mg_x,Ti)O_2$ systems and evaluate their electrochemical characteristics. In agreement with the theoretical study, Mg addition to such systems improves general cell performance. For example, the prepared $Na_{0.646}(Li_{0.207}Mg_{0.013}Ti_{0.78})O_2$ system displays an increase in reversible capacity of 8.5% and in rate performance of 13.5%, compared to those characteristics of a system without the addition of Mg. Computational results indicate that these improvements can be attributed to the slight widening of the Na-$O_6$ layer in the presence of Mg in the $(Li,Ti)O_6$ layer.

  • When using reliable multicast protocol over air links, the multicast packets lost in the air link cause the initiation of retransmission request packets and the implosion of retransmission packets, which deteriorate multicast session performance. This paper proposes on the efficient reliable multicast mechanism in wireless networks utilizing the Agents. In this paper we show the design of a retransmission agent which improves the performance of reliable multicast sessions in wireless network. The main idea is to cache reliable multicast packets at the base station and perform local retransmissions across the wireless link. MATLAB has been used to simulate and to get performance results for signaling overhead and processing delay through the comparison of the proposed agent model to the Multicast File Transfer Protocol. It has been proven from the simulation results that the proxy module make pass trials shorter in Multicast File Transfer Protocol.

  • For a target echo containing interference, it is very difficult to improve the performance of a monopulse radar with spatial domain processing, because the statistical property of interference cannot be exclusively obtained. This paper proposes a monopulse system that has a generalized sidelobe canceller(GSC) filter-based time domain processor as a preprocessor prior to conventional monopulse spatial processing. We analytically show the procedure of time-space signal processing running in the system, and assess its performance through simulation. In particular, the performance dependence on the number of taps in the main channel filter and the estimation error in Doppler frequency are assessed by comparison with those of existing systems.

  • The performance of a monopulse estimator is depend on its monopulse ratio(MR) curve. To improve its performance, a mathematical expression of the MR curve that is associated with an array the parameters is needed. In this paper, we present a novel monopulse estimator that uses the inverse function of a MR curve for the Maximum Likelihood (ML)-based monopulse estimator. It is shown that the proposed method can extend the linear region of the MR curve, which in turn improve the estimation accuracy. Moreover, it's performance is compared with the ML-based method through simulation.

  • We investigate the effect of technology convergence and spillover on firm performance. In doing so we specifically examine how automobile firms adapting aircraft technologies perform in stock market and product market. In order to use technology convergence and spillover, we investigate the patent citation relationship between aircraft and automobile related patents and construct the measures on automobile firms' adaptation of aircraft technologies. We also measure automobile firms' performance based on market value of firms in the stock market and revenues in product market. We find that the market value increases as automobile firms use the knowledge of aircraft technologies more. However, there is no relationship between the use of the aircraft technology and the revenue of automobile firms. This suggests that the use of advance aircraft technology plays a positive signaling role in financial market while it is not associated with generating revenues in product market.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of stress on oral health and health behaviors. The study was conducted on 72,060 people using 11th Youth Health Behavior Online Survey in 2015. The study shows that In general, female students, high school students and students with high performance ranking are more stressful than male students, middle school students and students with low performance ranking respectively. Studies have shown that students who do not exercise a lot and have not breakfast get relatively high stress. Plus, the stress index was also high and statistically significant. (p<0.001). The study also shows that students who have got symptoms of "tooth pain when eating" and "bleeding gun" at the questionnaire of "Self-assessed Oral health status"get high stress relatively. And the study tells us that students who have bad breath get high stress relatively as well. And, the stress index was also high and statistically significant. (p<0.001). The implications of this study are that psychological stress among adolescents has a close relationship with oral health and health behavior.

  • This study is a secondary data analysis to investigate the nursing tasks performance, appropriate performer, and job satisfaction in the general wards with sift work. We found that nurses performed direct (45%) and indirect nursing (55%). The workload per shift was 37.2% in the day, 35.6% in the evening, and 27.2% at night. The tasks performed after handover were 'direct nursing (34.5%)' and 'documentation and notification (25.8%)'. Nurses responded that there were some tasks that could be delegated to nursing assistants or had ambiguous boundaries with other medical personnel. There was a significant correlation between compliance to the job description of the night shift and job satisfaction (rs=.43, p=.01). These results imply that it is necessary to establish strategies that will enhance work efficiency based on job analysis by shift work, reduce handover time using EMR system, stmart devices, and clarify appropriate performers.

  • The imprecise real-time scheduling can be used for minimizing the bad effects of timing faults by leaving less important tasks unfinished if necessary when a transient overload occured. In the imprecise scheduling, every time-critical task can be logically decomposed into two tasks : a mandatory task and an optional task. Recently, some studies in this field showed good schedulability performance and minimum total error by deferring the optional tasks. But the schedulability performance of the studies can be shown only when the execution time of each optional task was less than or equal to the execution time of its corresponding mandatory task. Therefore, in this paper, a new deferring strategy is proposed under the reverse execution time restriction to the previous studies. Nevertheless, the strategy produces comparable or superior schedulability performance to the previous studies and can minimize the total error also.

  • This paper presents a subband affine projection algorithm with variable step size to improve convergence performance in adaptive filtering applications with long adaptive filters and highly correlated input signals. The proposed algorithm can obtain fast convergence speed and small steady-state error by using different step sizes for each adaptive sub-filter in the subband structure to which polyphase decomposition and noble identity are applied. The step size derived to minimize the mean square error of the adaptive filter at each update time shows better convergence performance than the existing algorithm using a variable step size. In order to confirm the convergence performance of the proposed algorithm, which is superior to the existing algorithm, computer simulations are performed for mean square deviation(MSD) for AR(1) and AR(2) colored input signals considering the system identification model.
