마이크로파 진공가열방법이 효소의 불활성화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Microwave Vacuum Heating on Inactivation of Enzymes)

  • 식품의 저장과 가공과정에서 품질을 저해시키는 바람직하지 못한 효소를 불활성화시키기 위하여 식품을 살균시키는 경우 고온에서 가열처리하게 되면 다른 성분들이 파괴될 우려가 있다. 따라서 열에 의한 영양파괴를 최소화 하기 위해 감압상태에서 마이크로파를 이용하여 저온에서 가열처리하는 방법을 사용하였다. 이 가열방법을 사용하여 ${\alpha}-amylase$${\beta}-amylase,\;glucoamylase,\;peroxidase$의 열불활성화를 측정하였고 이를 기존의 가열방법과 비교하였다. $60^{\circ}C$에서 기존의 방법으로 가열했을 경우와 260 mmHg의 감압상태하에서 microwave (출력버튼 1)를 이용하여 가열했을 경우 비타민 C 파괴 정도는 거의 같았다. 이와같은 조건에서 ${\alpha}-amylase$${\beta}-amylase$의 불활성화를 조사하였으며 초기에는 lag time의 영향으로 기존의 방법에 비해 잔존활성이 많이 남아 있었으나 완전히 실활되는데 걸리는 시간은 마이크로파 진공가열방법을 이용한 경우가 더 짧았다. 또한 $75^{\circ}C$에서 기존의 열처리 방법으로 했을 경우와 360 mmHg의 감압상태에서 microwave (출력버튼 2)를 이용하여 가열했을 경우 비타민 C 파괴정도가 거의 같았는데 이와 같은 조건에서 glucoamylase와 peroxidase의 불활성화를 조사하였으며 실활되는데 걸리는 시간은 이 경우에도 마이크로파 진공가열 방법을 이용한 경우가 더 짧았다. 저온에서 마이크로파 진공가열 방법에 의해 효소를 불활성화 시키는 가열조건을 얻었다.

  • This paper describes novel high voltage capacitor(HVC) embedded high frequency transformer and novel inverter power supply topology for driving magnetron in microwave oven. This transformer is used to achieve down­sizing, low-cost and efficiency improvement. Proposed transformer has HVC in its secondary winding. Therefore, this transformer does not need external high voltage capacitor which used in conventional power supply. As use of this transformer, output voltage is shifted from ground to above 2000[V] and efficiency of microwave oven can be improved. The weight of proposed transformer is about one sixth of conventional one and efficiency is improved by seven percent compared to the efficiency of the conventional system.

  • This paper presents a method to model the path loss characteristics in microwave urban line-of-sight (LOS) propagation. We propose new upper- and lower-bound models for the LOS path loss using fuzzy linear regression (FLR). The spread of upper- and lower-bound of FLR depends on max and min value of a sample path loss data while the conventional upper- and lower-bound models, the spread of the bound intervals are fixed and do not depend on the sample path loss data. Comparison of our models to conventional upper- and lower-bound models indicate that improvements in accuracy over the conventional models are achieved.

마이크로파 소결법을 이용한 Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3계 적층형 세라믹 액추에이터 제조 (Preparation of Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-Based Multilayer Ceramic Actuators Using Microwave Sintering)

  • A comparative study has been attempted for microwave and conventional sintering of lead-free $Bi_{0.5}Na_{0.5}TiO_3(BNT)$-based multilayer ceramic actuators(MLAs). It was found that microwave sintering (MWS) could be successfully applied to the co-firing of piezoceramic/AgPd MLAs with a 10 times shorter firing cycle as well as $100^{\circ}C$ lower firing temperature ($850^{\circ}C$) for sufficient densification than conventional furnace sintering ($950^{\circ}C$). Furthermore, MWS-derived specimens showed better electric field-induced strain than that of CFS-derived specimens by effectively suppressing interdiffusions between ceramic and electrode layers.

  • WC-6wt%Co hard metal powders were sintered by a 2.45 GHz multimode microwave applicator in Ar atmosphere. Microwave sintering of WC-6wt%Co powder lowered the sintering temperature and shortened the processing time in less than two hours than by a conventional method. Microstructures of the sintered specimen were studied with scanning electron microscope (SEM) and no abnormal grain growth was observed. Mechanical properties were similar to the values of the specimens sintered by a conventional method. Specimen sintered at 135$0^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes ,hewed 99%, 20.5 GPa and 8.1 MPa$\sqrt{m}$ of theoretical density, hardness and fracture strength, respectively.

  • Adsorption is one of the best methods for wastewater purification. The fact that water quality is continuously decreasing requires the development of novel, effective and cost available adsorbents. Herein, a simple procedure for the preparation of a magnetic adsorbent from agricultural waste biomass and ferrofluid has been introduced. Specifically, ferrofluid mixed with wheat straw was directly pyrolyzed either by microwave irradiation (900 W, 30 min) or by conventional heating ($550^{\circ}C$, 90 min). Magnetic biochars were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, $M{\ddot{o}}ssbauer$ spectroscopy, textural analysis and tested as adsorbents of As(V) oxyanion and cationic methylene blue, respectively. Results showed that microwave pyrolysis produced char with high adsorption capacity of As(V) ($Q_m=25.6mg\;g^{-1}$ at pH 4), whereas conventional pyrolysis was not so effective. In comparison to conventional pyrolysis, one-step microwave pyrolysis produced a material with expressive microporosity, having a nine times higher value of specific surface area as well as total pore volume. We assumed that sorption properties are also caused by several iron-bearing composites identified by $M{\ddot{o}}ssbauer$ spectroscopy ([super] paramagnetic $Fe_2O_3$, ${\alpha}-Fe$, non-stoichiometric $Fe_3C$, ${\gamma}-Fe_2O_3$, ${\gamma}-Fe$) transformed from nano-maghemite presented in the ferrofluid. Methylene blue was also more easily removed by magnetic biochar prepared by microwaves ($Q_m=144.9mg\;g^{-1}$ at pH 10.9) compared to using conventional techniques.

바이오매스로부터 파클리탁셀 회수를 위한 전통적 용매 추출, 마이크로웨이브를 이용한 추출, 초음파를 이용한 추출 방법 비교 (Comparison of Conventional Solvent Extraction, Microwave-Assisted Extraction, and Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction Methods for Paclitaxel Recovery from Biomass)

  • 본 연구에서는 바이오매스로부터 파클리탁셀 회수를 위한 전통적 용매 추출(conventional solvent extraction, CSE), 마이크로웨이브를 이용한 추출(microwave-assisted extraction, MAE), 초음파를 이용한 추출(ultrasound-assisted extraction, UAE) 방법을 비교하였다. 추출 용매 종류(아세톤, 클로로포름, 에탄올, 메탄올, 메틸렌 클로라이드)에 따른 영향을 조사한 결과, 메탄올이 모든 추출 방법에서 가장 적합하였다. 메탄올을 이용한 MAE와 UAE의 경우, 단 1회의 추출로 대부분의 파클리탁셀 회수(>95%)가 가능하였다. 또한 MAE와 UAE의 경우 추출 온도(25-45 ℃), 마이크로웨이브 파워(50-150 W), 초음파 파워(180-380 W)의 증가에 따라 파클리탁셀 회수율이 증가하였다. 또한 SEM 분석을 통해 바이오매스 표면을 조사한 결과, 표면 구조가 CSE의 경우에는 조금 주름진 형태를 보인 반면 MAE와 UAE의 경우에는 강한 충격으로 매우 거칠고 파괴된 형태를 보였다.

  • By using homestyle microwave oven, Al-Al2O3 powder mixture could be oxidized and sintered into Al2O3 body. The differences in powder characteristics among the differently processed raw materials affect the oxidation and sintering behaviours, and these effects were more pronounced in case of microwave oven than of conventional furnace. Al-Al2O3 powder mixture was oxidized and sintered within 2hrs, which could save both processing time and energy.

카아본-페라이트 전파흡수체의 특성 (Characteristics of Carbon-Ferrite Microwave Absorbers)

  • Carbon-ferrite microwave absorbers were designed experimentally and fabricated trialy, as a result of which the relative frequency bandwith of 7.3 to 8.2% were obtained under the tolerance limits of the reflection coefficients lower than -20 dB, and the matching thickness becomes 1.4 to 1.6mm, which is significantly thinner than that of the conventional ones. Furthermore, attenuation has been founded by measuring the material constants of the microwave absorbers for microwave oven and the results are compared and discussed.
