  • In this paper, a backstepping speed controller applied in SRM is presented. The driver of SRM is generally planned with a PI controller. A PI controller is becomes a satisfied structure in the system. it is used in position and speed control loops. However, when the system parameter uncertainties large inertia and load disturbance, it will not be able to expect a satisfied efficiency. Therefore, a backstepping control law was researched, which is able application even to a linear system as well as a nonlinear and it is more excellent than a origin adaptive control law. In this paper, a backstepping control law applied the drive system of SRM was used in the drive controller. The computer simulation result clearly show that the applied backstepping controller can track the speed reference signal generated by internal signals.

Finite-Time Convergent Guidance Law Based on Second-Order Sliding Mode Control Theory

  • The complex battlefield environment makes it difficult to intercept maneuvering targets for guided missiles. In this paper, a finite-time convergent (FTC) guidance law based on the second-order sliding mode (SOSM) control theory is proposed to achieve the requirements of stability, accuracy and robustness. More specifically, a second-order sliding mode observer (SMOB) is used to estimate and compensate for the total disturbance of the controlled system, while the target acceleration is extracted from the line-of-sight (LOS) angle measurement. The proposed guidance law can drive the LOS angular rate converge to zero in a finite time, which means that the missile will accurately intercept the target. Numerical simulations with some comparisons are performed to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed guidance law.

  • In this paper, a new adaptive nonsingular terminal sliding mode control theory based impact angle guidance law for intercepting maneuvering targets was documented. In the design procedure, a new adaptive law for target acceleration bound estimation was presented, which allowed the proposed guidance law to be used without the requirement of the information on the target maneuvering profiles. With the aid of Lyapunov stability criteria, the finite-time convergent characteristics of the line-of-sight angle and its derivative were proven in theory. Numerical simulations were also performed under various conditions to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed guidance law.

  • Until now, many guidance laws have been developed. They mainly used the classical tail-pursuit guidance method based on geometric angle information, the proportional navigation method based on the line of sight(LOS) rate, and the optimal guidance law based on optimal control theorem. In the augmented guidance law, target acceleration information and autopilot characteristics are added the guidance command. In this study, new guidance laws considering geometric angle are proposed. Two guidance laws are developed for the midcourse guidance law, and a guidance law is developed for the terminal guidance respectively.   • In this paper, a generalized adaptive law is proposed which uses a rational function type operator for parameter adjustment. To satisfy the passivity condition of the adaptation block, we introduce a constant feedback gain into the adaptation block. This adaptation scheme is applied to the model reference adaptive control of a continuous-time, linear time-invariant, minimum-phase system whose relative degree is 1. We prove the asymptotic stability of the output error of this adaptive system by hyperstability method. It is shown that by digital computer simulations this law can give a better output error transient response in some cases than the conventional gradient adaptive law. And the output error responses for the several types of the proposed adaptation law are examined in the presence of a kind of unmodeled dynamics.

Control Law Design for a Tilt-rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle with a Nacelle Mounted WE (Wing Extension) (체공성능 향상을 위한 확장날개 틸트로터 무인기의 제어법칙설계)

  • The results of control law design for a tilt-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle that has a nacelle mounted wing extension (WE) are presented in this paper. It consists of a control surface mixer, stability and control augmentation system (SCAS), hold mode for altitude / speed / heading, and a guidance mode for preprogram and point navigation which includes automatic take-off and landing. The conversion corridor and the control moments derivatives between the original tilt-rotor and its variant of the nacelle mounted WE were compared to show the effectiveness of the WE. The nacelle conversion of the original tilt-rotor starts when the airspeed is greater than 30 km/h but its WE variant starts at 0 km/h in order to reduce the drag caused by the high incidence angle of the WE. The stability margins of the inner loop are presented with the optimization approach. The outer loops for the hold mode are designed with trial and error methods with linear and nonlinear simulation. The main control parameter for altitude control of the helicopter mode is thrust command and it is transferred to the pitch attitude command in airplane mode. Otherwise, the control parameter for the speed of the helicopter mode is the pitch attitude command and it is transferred to the thrust command in airplane mode. Therefore the speed and altitude hold mode are coupled to each other and are engaged at the same time when an internal pilot engages any of the altitude or speed hold modes. The nonlinear simulation results of the guidance control for the preprogrammed mode and point navigation are also presented including automatic take-off and landing in order to prove the full control law.

  • A nonlinear control law for the quad-rotor of a low-complexity, global approximation-free from system uncertainties and external disturbances are described in this paper. The control law guarantees convergence to a small bounded error using a prescribed performance function. The stability of the proposed nonlinear control system is also proven by the Lyapunov stability theorem. The advantage of this technique is that it has a simpler form than any other nonlinear compensators and is applicable to any nonlinear systems without precise knowledge of the systems. In this paper, the proposed approach is applied to attitude/altitude control of a quad-rotor. Numerical simulations are performed to investigate the proposed nonlinear attitude control law by applying it to an uncertain quadcopter system with external disturbances.

  • This article deals with the problem of designing a robust algorithm for the motion control of robot manipulator whose nonlinear dynamics contain various uncertainties. To ensure high performance of control system, a model-based feedforward compensation with continuous robust control has been developed. The control structure based on the deterministic approach consists of two parts : the nominal control law is first introduced to stabilize the system without uncertainties, then a robust nonlinear control law is adopted to compensate for both the resulting errors(or structured uncertainties) and unstructured uncertainties. The uncertainties assumed in this study are bounded by polynomials in the Euclidean norms of system states with known bounding coefficients. The presented control scheme is relatively simple as well as computationally efficient. With a feasible class of desired trajectories, the proposed control law provides sufficient criteria which guarantee that all possible responses of the closed-loop system are uniformly ultimately bounded in the presence of uncertainties. Therefore, the control algorithm proposed is shown to be robust with respect to the involved uncertainties.

New guidance law for air-to-air missile

  • In this paper, a new guidance law for a short-range air-to-air missile with constant thrust is presented. It is essentially based on the concept of proportional navigation. First, the theoretical guidance law is derived. Then, we show the technique for practical implementation of the guidance law. By a computer simulation, it is shown that the new guidance law gives better performance than the conventional proportional navigation.

  • The paper demonstrates how the Islamic governments in the Islamic history derived the authority for regulations and laws from the Qur'ān and the Sunna (sayings of the Prophet). These two laws are sovereign over public policy. Then, it shows the obstacles that prevented modern Muslim countries from formulating public policy based on Sharia law.
