Bioaugmentation이 간헐폭기 오수처리장치의 운전효율에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Bioaugmentation on Performance of Intermittently Aerated Sewage Treatment Plant)

  • In order to improve reactor performance of existing sewage treatment plants, the feasibility of enhancing reactor performance by bioaugmentation using EM as bioaugmentation agent and the effects of anoxic: oxic time ratio on reactor performance were investigated. Continuous and intermittent aeration modes were compared under the 6 hr of HRT. Three different types of intermittent aeration modes, that is, 15 min, of anoxic:45 min of oxic, 30 min of anoxic: 30 min of oxic, and 45 min of anoxic: 15 min oxic respectively were chosen as test modes to study the effects of anoxic : oxic time ratios on reactor performance. The optimum anoxic: oxic time ratio was 30 min:30 min when considering simultaneous removal of organic, nitrogen and phosphorus. When applying EM into a continuously aerated reactor under the varying dosing rates of 50-200 ppm, reactor performance in terms of organic and nitrogen removal efficiencies was not improved at all. Nitrogen removal efficiency was increase when the EM dosing rate was increased. However the degree of improvement was slight when the EM was injected above 100 ppm. However optimum phosphorus removal was found at the EM dosing of 200 ppm. Thus it was found that optimum injection concentration of EM is 200 ppm. It is apparent that putting EM into a sewage treatment plant significantly affects the T-N removal efficiency of the reactor by enhancing denitrification efficiency especially in operational conditions of relatively long anoxic periods. To achieve reciprocal condition in a reactor with intermittent aeration it is necessary to enhance the reactor performance by EM injection. In the case of modifying existing continuously aerated reactors into intermittent aerated reactors, it is obvious that operating costs of aeration would be reduced by reducing aeration time when compared with existing conventional sewage treatment plants.

극지해역 운용 해양작업지원선(PSV)의 선형설계와 빙 저항추진 성능 연구 (A Study on the Hull Form Design and Ice Resistance & Propulsion Performance of a Platform Support Vessel (PSV) Operated in the Arctic Ocean)

  • Platform Support Vessels operated in the Arctic Ocean support diverse operations of offshore plant in the sea, and the PSV is also needed to support works to exploit the oil and gas in the Arctic Ocean. Both of the ice breaking and the open sea performance have been considered together to secure the enhanced operational performance at the harsh environment in the Arctic Ocean and the open sea as well. In this study, One of the design requirements of a PSV is to guarantee continuous icebreaking performance with 3 knots at 1 m thickness of level ice, where the design draft is 7.5m and the engine power is 13 MW. Three hull forms were designed, and the ice resistance based on empirical formulas was estimated to select the initial hull form having an outstanding performance. The full scale performance of the designed hull forms was predicted by the ice model test conducted in the ice model basin of Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering(KRISO). The analysed results show that the selected hull form satisfies the above design requirement.

무릎관절 추적훈련이 편마비 환자의 보행에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Knee Tracking Training on Gait in Stroke Patients)

  • Manual tracking is an experimental paradigm that can be used to study information processing in continuous movements involving accurate, ongoing control of motor performance. The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of knee tracking training, using the paretic side, on gait in stroke patients. Nine patients with hemiplegia participated in the study. The timed 10 m gait speed test and tracking test were administrated. The tracking test was composed with ranges of $-20^{\circ}$ to $20^{\circ}$ and $0^{\circ}$ to $60^{\circ}$. The tracking training consisted of five times every week for 4 weeks. The data were analyzed by non-parametric paired sign test of Wilcoxon. The flexion/extension error of the tracking test was significantly reduced on the paretic side, while the nonparetic side was not statistically significant. The transfer of the skill to the functional activity was shown in the significant improvement at timed 10 m gait speed test. This study shows that individuals with chronic who have impaired knee movement can be trained to improve their knee control through intensive practice at a knee movement tracking task and that the skill learned from such training is transfered to a more functional gait speed.

소셜 비즈니스를 활용한 공급 사슬에서의 파트너십이 SCM 성과에 미치는 영향 (The effects of the Partnership in Supply Chain Management with Appling Social Business on the outcome of the SCM)

  • 본 논문은 기존 연구되어졌던 파트너십이 공급 사슬 관리의 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구에서 한 단계 더 나아가, 파트너십과 SCM 성과의 관계에서 소셜 비즈니스 매개효과에 대해 파악한다. 최근 공급 사슬 관리에도 전자태그, 모바일, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 등 IT 기술 접목이 활성화되면서 업무가 더 빠르고 스마트해지고 있다. 여기에 소셜 비즈니스가 더해진다면 거래 파트너, 혹은 고객과 직접 소통이 가능해져 파트너십의 관계를 한층 높일 수 있을 것이다. 연구 대상으로는 공급 사슬 관리을 도입하여 운용중인 기업을 대상으로 하였으며 설문지 150부 중 결측치를 제외한 127부를 최종 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 18.0 Version 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도 분석, 신뢰도 분석, t-test, ANOVA, 경로분석, 매개효과 분석을 위한 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 파트너십에서 신뢰도, 정보 공유, 거래 지속이 높을수록 소셜 비즈니스에 미치는 영향이 높을 것으로 분석되었으나, 상호의존성은 영향력이 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 파트너십이 SCM 성과에 대한 영향에 대해서는 신뢰도, 정보 공유, 거래 지속은 유의한 영향을 보였으나 상호의존성은 영향 요인이 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 소셜 비즈니스가 파트너십과 SCM 성과 관계의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

전수면박탈이 정상인의 미세운동수행 능력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Total Sleep Deprivation on Fine Motor Performance)

  • 목 적 : 일상생활에서 하루 밤의 수면박탈은 흔히 있을 수 있다. 저자들은 전산화 신경인지검사를 통하여 38시간의 수면 박탈이 상지의 미세 운동수행능력에 어떠한 변화를 주는지를 연구하고자 하였다. 방 법 : 고려대학교 의과대학에 재학중인 학생중 정신적, 신체적으로 건강한 지원자 24명(M:F=21:3, mean age : $24.67{\pm}1.37$)을 대상으로 하였으며 모두 오른 손잡이었다. 또한 수면일지를 작성하게 하여 평소에 수면부족을 보이는 군은 배제하였다. Vienna Test System에서 나타날 수 있는 학습효과를 최소화하기 위하여 검사 하루 전에 미리 같은 검사를 시행하였다. 검사 전날 밤에 피험자들은 충분한 수면을 취하였으며, 검사 당일 오전 6시경에 기상하였다. 실험 첫날 오전 6시부터 다음날 오후 8시까지 38시간동안 수면을 박탈하였으며, 검사 첫날과 둘째 날의 오전 7시와 오후 7시, 총 4차례 Vienna Test System중 Motor Performance Series를 시행하였다. 실험기간 중에 모든 피험자에게 수면에 영향을 줄 수 있는 약물의 복용은 금지되었으며, 과도한 운동도 금지되었다. 자료는 SPSS를 이용하여 피험자당 4회 시행한 검사 결과를 Repeated ANOVA를 시행하였으며, 일중리듬을 고려하여 각 아침, 저녁 session끼리의 검사 결과를 paired t-test를 시행하여서 비교하였다. 결 과 : Motor Performance Series에서 수면박탈에 따라서 상지의 오른손의 운동 기능에 있어 수행능력의 저하가 나타났다. 각 소검사를 보면 tapping의 total number(p<.005), line tracking의 number of misses(p<.05), length of misses (p<.05), inserting short pin의 total length(p<.01), inserting long pin의 total length(p<.05), aiming의 number of misses (p<.05)에서 통계적으로 유의미한 기능의 저하가 나타났다. 결 론 : 이상의 결과는 38시간의 수면박탈만으로도 유의미한 운동기능의 저하가 나타난다는 것을 보여준 것이며, 특히 가장 예민하게 미세 운동기능을 발휘할 수 있는 우세한 오른손에서 기능저하가 나타났다. Inserting long pin보다는 inserting short pin 검사에서 기능이 저하되었고, line tracking, aiming에서 검사 결과의 수행 저하가 두드러진 것으로 보아서, 미세한 운동기능일수록 영향을 많이 받는다고 할 수 있겠으며, line tracking에서 전체 검사 시간은 감소되며, 수행에서 실수가 늘어난 것으로 보아, 수면박탈에 따라서 조급한 수행이 이루어진다고 보여진다. 또한 주어진 32초간의 시간 안에 최대한의 속도로 펜을 두드리는 tapping 검사에서 두드러진 저하를 보인 점에서, 수면박탈에 의하여 근육의 피로가 쉽게 나타난다고 생각 할 수 있겠다.

  • Now, for the continuous location detection of train, the method that the moving distance of a vehicle is detected using an wheel sensor(odometer) mounted within a train, is generally used. It has a problem that the positioning errors of a train can be accumulated as the moving distance increases. To solve this problem, it is required to apply a variety of positioning sensors and to integrate with sensor data. In this paper, we develop the train-borne positioning system applicable to the conventional railway and high-speed railway, and verify the performance of the train-borne positioning system through a vehicle test.

Structural Design and Construction of the Foundation of TOKYO SKYTREE

  • This paper introduces the structural design and construction method for the foundation of the TOKYO SKYTREE, a new digital broadcasting tower in Tokyo, which has a height of 634 meters. The surface layer of the ground is occupied by soft soil, thus the foundation of this tower is an SRC continuous underground wall pile, designed and developed to have horizontal rigidity and pull-out resistance. The structural integrity and construction method of the wall pile was verified with an on-site full scale pull-out test concluding a maximum load of 40,000 kN.

영문 대문자의 획 정보와 후처리를 이용한 온라인 필기 단어 인식기 구현 (Developing an On-line Handwritten Word Recognition System Using Stroke Information and Post-processing Techniques)

  • This paper presents new on-line handwritten algorithm for continuous alphabet uppercase characters. The algorithm is based on the idea that alphabet uppercase character consists of at most 4 strokes. It tries to determine the maximum output for a recognition result among outputs of four recognizers which have the capacity to discriminate the character using from 1 through 4 stroke information. The recognition module has 4 neural network based recognizers, which can recognize from 1 through 4 stroke character. We also use specialized post-processing techniques for improving the recognition performance. Trained on 440 input data and choosing 390 uppercase words for a recognition test we reached a 92% recognition rate.

Effect of fiber-matrix adhesion on the fracture behavior of a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic-modified epoxy matrix

  • In this study, the fracture behavior of a thermoplastic-modified epoxy resin reinforced with continuous carbon fibers for two levels of fiber-matrix adhesion was performed. A carbon fiber with commercial sizing was used and also treated with a known silane, (3-glycidoxy propyl trimethoxysilane) coupling agent. Toughness was determined using the double cantilever test, together with surface analysis after failure using scanning electron microscope. The presence of polysulfone particles improved the fracture behavior of the composite, but fiber-matrix adhesion seemed to play a very important role in the performance of the composite material. There appeared to be a synergy between the matrix modifier and the fiber-matrix adhesion coupling agent.

적응형 유전알고리즘의 실험적 비교 (An Experimental Comparison of Adaptive Genetic Algorithms)

  • In this paper, we develop an adaptive genetic algorithm (aGA). The aGA has an adaptive scheme which can automatically determine the use of local search technique and adaptively regulate the rates of crossover and mutation operations during its search process. For the adaptive scheme, the ratio of degree of dispersion resulting from the various fitness values of the populations at continuous two generations is considered. For the local search technique, an improved iterative hill climbing method is used and incorporated into genetic algorithm (GA) loop. In order to demonstrate the efficiency of the aGA, i) a canonical GA without any adaptive scheme and ii) several conventional aGAs with various adaptive schemes are also presented. These algorithms, including the aGA, are tested and analyzed each other using various test problems. Numerical results by various measures of performance show that the proposed aGA outperforms the conventional algorithms.
