In 1812, Gauss obtained fifteen contiguous functions relations. Later on, 1847, Henie gave their q-analogue. Recently, good progress has been done in finding more contiguous functions relations by employing results due to Gauss. In 1999, Cho et al. have obtained 24 new and interesting contiguous functions relations with the help of Gauss's 15 contiguous relations. In fact, such type of 72 relations exists and therefore the rest 48 contiguous functions relations have very recently been obtained by Rakha et al.. Thus, the paper is in continuation of the paper [16] published in Computer & Mathematics with Applications 61 (2011), 620.629. In this paper, first we obtained 15 q-contiguous functions relations due to Henie by following a different method and then with the help of these 15 q-contiguous functions relations, we obtain 72 new and interesting q-contiguous functions relations. These q-contiguous functions relations have wide applications.

The object of this note is to provide various methods for proving two results contiguous to Kummer's second theorem by using the classical Gauss's summation theorem and contiguous relations.

Very recently, Mubeen, et al. [6] have obtained fifteen contiguous function relations for k-hypergeometric functions with one parameter by the same technique developed by Gauss. The aim of this paper is to obtain seventy-two new and interesting contiguous function relations for k-hypergeometric functions with two parameters. Obviously, for $k{\rightarrow}1$ we recover the results obtained by Cho, et al. [2] and Rakha, et al. [8].

In this paper, a simple design method is represented for a contiguous-band waveguide manifold diplexer which employs a half-wavelength line at the input port of the singly terminated bandpass filterand has resonant-slot coupled E-plane T-junctions. This design method is based on the fact that the input impedance characteristics of the singly terminated bandpass filter are approximately unchanged when a resonant slot and a half-wavelength line at the input port of the filter are employed. This design method is also applicable to the design of the multiplexer. A contiguous-band waveguide manifold diplexer using the post coupled cavity filters is designed, constructed, and tested. The computed and experimental results show the validity of the theory.

Mining interesting patterns from DNA sequences is one of the most challenging tasks in bioinformatics and computational biology. Maximal contiguous frequent patterns are preferable for expressing the function and structure of DNA sequences and hence can capture the common data characteristics among related sequences. Biologists are interested in finding frequent orderly arrangements of motifs that are responsible for similar expression of a group of genes. In order to reduce mining time and complexity, however, most existing sequence mining algorithms either focus on finding short DNA sequences or require explicit specification of sequence lengths in advance. The challenge is to find longer sequences without specifying sequence lengths in advance. In this paper, we propose an efficient approach to mining maximal contiguous frequent patterns from large DNA sequence datasets. The experimental results show that our proposed approach is memory-efficient and mines maximal contiguous frequent patterns within a reasonable time.

WC-Co와 WC-Co 초경합금중 WC/WC 입계의 구조와 입계 편석상태를 알아볼 목적으로 HRTEM과 EDS를 이용하여 연구하였다. 일부의 입계들은 액상에 의하여 분리된 상태로 관찰되었으나, 상당수는 원자적 상태의 연소계면이었다. 또 연속계면 중 WC-Co 합금에서는 Co 상이 편석되어 있었으며, WC-VC-Co 합금에서는 Co와 V이 동시에 편석되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그 편석의 폭은 약6nm이었다. 연속 계면 중 V의 편석은 소결 또는 열처리 시에 일어나는 입계 이동을 억제하는 데 효과적인 역할을 할 것으로 여겨졌다. 동시에 이것은 WC-Co 초경합금에서 VC 첨가에 의한 입성상 억제기구를 설명할 수 있는 것으로 사료되었다.

목적: 축추이하 경추 손상시 발생하는 연속적, 비연속적 연골하골 압박손상의 빈도와 원발부위 손상 패턴에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 축추이하 경추 손상이 있는 환자 47명의 전산화 단층촬영, 자기공명영상, 의무기록을 후향적으로 검토하여 연속적, 비연속적 연골하골 압박손상의 발생유무와 수, 레벨, 손상 부위를 기록하였다. 원발부위 손상 패턴을 알아보기 위하여 손상된 원발부위의 레벨, 수, 손상 형태, 전/후방 추간판인대복합체의 손상유무, 후방인대복합체의 손상유무, 척수 손상유무를 분석하고 손상 기전을 분석하였다. 분석된 원발손상 패턴과 손상기전은 Mann-Whitney U test, Pearson's chi square test, Fisher's exact test의 통계적 기법으로 연골하 압박손상의 발생유무와 연관성을 조사하였다. 결과: 총 18명에게서 (18/47, 38.29%) 연골하 압박손상이 발생했으며 그 중 9명은 원발부위와 인접하여 연속적으로, 다른 9명은 원발부위와 떨어져 비연속적으로 발생하였다. 3번 흉추에 가장 흔하게 발생하였고 (15/47, 31.91%), 세 개의 레벨에 걸쳐있는 경우가 가장 많았다 (6/18, 33.33%). 모든 연골하 압박손상은 척추체의 전상방 부위나 상종판 주변에 발생하였으며 강한 외력의 외상과 연관되었다. 연골하 압박손상의 발생은 원발부위의 손상형태와 후방인대복합체의 손상과 통계학적으로 유의한 연관성을 보였다. 비연속적 연골하 압박손상은 연속적 연골하 압박손상에 비해 비교적 상부 경추에 원발 손상부위가 있고 후방추간판인대 복합체의 손상을 동반하는 경우가 통계학적으로 유의하게 많았다. 그외 분석한 다른 인자들은 통계학적으로 유의한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 결론: 이차성 연골하 압박손상은 흔하며 강한 외력에 의한 굴곡압박성 경추 외상과 관련 있을 것이다.

The objective of this paper is to present 87 recurrence relations for the Jacobi polynomials $P_n^{({\alpha},{\beta})}(x)$. The results presented here most of which are presumably new are obtained with the help of Gauss's fifteen contiguous function relations and some other identities recently recorded in the literature.

In 1994, Lavoie et al. have obtained twenty tree interesting results closely related to the classical Dixon's theorem on the sum of a $_3F_2$ by making a systematic use of some known relations among contiguous functions. We aim at showing that these results can be derived by using the same technique developed by Bailey with the help of Gauss's summation theorem and generalized Kummer's theorem obtained by Lavoie et al..

위상이 2진적으로 변하고 주파수가 계단적으로 변하는 연속펄스 열로 된 FM 신호를 레이다 신호로 전용할 때의 특성을 고찰하였다. 이 목적을 위하여 우선 이런 종류의 신호에 대한 스퍽트럼 및 애요함수에 대한 일반적인 표시식을 구하였으며 다음에 여러가지 2진위상 코딩에 대하여 그 스펙트림과 애요함수의 크기를 콤퓨터에 의하여 프롯터로 그렸다. 이 결과로 부터 위상이 교대로 변하는 경우가 다른 코딩 방식에 비하여 가장 양호한 시간분해능을 가진다는 것과 또 이 경우의 천체함수는 시간-속도의 전평면상에서 다수의 스파이크를 가진다는 것을 알았다.
