Recently many researches are investigating for ubiquitous computing and network. In the real world many sensor devices must be equipped to provide many services for users. To make computing environment easy and more user friendly, middleware system not only hides all complexities (network, system, services, etc), but also needs to have efficient context inference scheme and system reconfiguration capability. In this paper we suggest context-aware middleware design for sensor network which provides efficient computing environment for end-users. We also present XML based implementation of our system.
The dissemination of smartphones is being spread and supplementary services using smartphones are increasing and various as the Mobile network and device are developing rapidly, so smartphones that enables to provide a wide range of services is expected to receive the most attention. It makes users listen to music anytime, anywhere in real-time, use useful applications, and access to Internet to search for information. The service environment is changing on PC into Mobile due to the change of the circumstance mentioned above. these services are done by using just location information rather than other context, and users have to search services and use them. It is essential to have Context-aware technology for personalization recommendation services and the appropriate representation and definition of Context information for context-aware. Ontology is possible to represent knowledge freely and knowledge can be extended by inferring. In addition, design of the ontology model is needed according to the purposes of utilization. This paper used context-aware technologies to implement a user personalization recommendation service. It also defined the context through OWL modeling for user personalization recommendation service and used inference rules and inference engine for context reasoning.
Recently, feasible services in ubiquitous computing environment are commonly based on context -aware computing. With the concept of context-awareness we can imagine more effective way to measure human being's daily stress and provide anti-stress services. Our study introduces logical and methodological approach to manage the stress through the development of stress index. From the practical perspectives, we also designed a business model for u-SMC, which is a profitable organization specialized in providing stress measurement services and personalized anti-stress services by utilizing the stress index model.

The ubiquitous computing environment focuses on recognizing the context and Physical entities, whereas, previous computing environments mainly focused on the conversational interactions between the computer and the user. For this reason, there has been an increase in the research of context aware computing environments. In previous researches , context services are designed using context ontology used in context aware middleware. So, context service cannot change the context ontology in execution time. We propose a hierarchical context ontology management for context aware service to change their ontology in execution time. And we also a resolution model for context conflict which is occurred in inference of context. We have designed a middleware based on this model and implemented the middleware. As the middleware is implemented on the OSGi framework, it can cause interoperability among devices such as computers, PDAs, home appliances and sensors. It can also support the development and operation of context aware services, which are required in the ubiquitous computing environment.

There has been an increase in the interest of applications that use a combination of both pervasive computing technology and context-aware technology. This application based on the development environment along with the support of developing context-aware applications is now being researched thoroughly and by many. The service management system provides services that are needed for context-aware applications. This system is an integral part of the developmental environment of context-aware applications. But there is a restrictive matching based on ontology that uses simple syntactic matching or a plain type of service used in previous researches. And there is also no consideration for context-aware information. Also, if the user is unable to find a service that is satisfactory, or is a service which a user does not desire, they may use a service which is composed of other existing services. This paper proposes a service management system based on context-aware information. The proposed system enables the accurate finding of services by considering semantic matching methods based on ontology and context-aware information. If the user does not find a service that is helpful in the service registry, it can provide the service list to enable other existing service compositions, by providing the functionality of these service compositions. As a result, the experiment of the system proposed has shown that the system properly supported the service discovery based on context-aware information and service composition.
Currently, most context-aware services are built by developers. Some researchers argued that services should be defined by end users, who understand their own needs best. We view that the significance of enabling the user to define his/her personalized services will multiply as our living spaces grow smarter. This paper introduces a novel method called CASPER, which is capable of deriving personalized services from the log of user's activities of daily living. CASPER can generate useful services that even the user may not perceive, mining causality of events in the log. We present the algorithm of CASPER in detail and discuss the result of an experiment which we conducted as a proof of concept.
Context-awareness is a computing technology that automatically delivers useful services to users based on their situation. Most previous studies on context-awareness adopted the view that the user simply is a consumer of what the developer creates. Few studies addressed catering to the need of personalized services for the user. They are either too complex for the user to grasp or unable to express many useful services due to their weak expressive power. To address these issues, we propose Dobby as a new model and architecture for user-driven context-aware service development. Dobby enables the user to create services that are more suited to his personal preferences. We argue that Dobby offers an enhanced method for defining personalized context-aware services over existing methods.
The emergence of new types of embedded computing devices and developments in wireless networking are broadening the domain of computing from the work place and home office to other facets of everyday life. This trend is expected to lead to a proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) environments, in which inexpensive and interconnected computing devices are capable of supporting users in a range of tasks. Context-aware computing is a key source to develop such smart services. However, there are many challenges to enable services to be smart; Heterogeneous Computing Environments, Resource Limitations, Large Amount of Data Produced, and Different Requirements for Context Interpretation. Because of these challenges, there are difficulties in providing smart service by utilizing IoT devices. Currently, many researchers are conducting researches on mobile-computing based smart service development and provisioning and network infrastructure for interconnected IoT devices. Still, there are some limitations on developing core technologies for IoT computing based smart service development. In order to remedy this situation, this thesis presents a reusable framework that provides unique and noble features which are required in developing advanced context-aware IoT applications.
Many researchers have developed frameworks that are capable of handling context information and can be adapted and used by any Web service. However, no research involving the systematic analysis of existing frameworks has yet been conducted. This paper examines the Context Framework, an example of existing frameworks, using a Petri net, and analyzes its advantages and disadvantages. Then, a Petri net model - with its disadvantages removed - is introduced, and a new framework is presented on the basis of that model. The proposed PAWS (Privacy Aware Web Services) framework has a expendability for context management and communicates flexible context information for every session. The proposed framework can solve overhead problems of context in SOAP messages. It also protects user privacy according to user preferences.

Recent ubiquitous computing environments increasingly impact on our lives using the current technologies of sensor network and ubiquitous services. In this paper, we propose ubiquitous architectural framework for ubiquitous sleep aid service(UbiSAS) in the subset of ubiquitous computing for refreshing of human's sleep. And we examine technical feasibility. Human can recover his health through refreshing sleep from fatigue. Ubiquitous architectural framework for UbiSAS in digital home offers agreeable sleeping environment and improves recovery from fatigue. So we present new concept of ubiquitous architectural framework dissolving stress. Specially, we apply context to context-aware framework module. This context is transferred to context adaptive inference engine which has service invocation function in intelligent agent module. Ubiquitous architectural framework for UbiSAS using context adaptive rule inference engine without user intervention is technical issue. That is to say, we should take sleep comfortably during our sleeping. And sensed information during sleeping is changed to context-aware information. This presents significant information in context adaptive rule inference engine for UbiSAS. This information includes all sleeping state during sleeping in context-aware computing technique. So we propose more effective and most suitable ubiquitous architectural framework using context adaptive rule inference engine for refreshing sleep in this paper.
