  • Purpose: Thisstudy aims to measure the attitudes of Generation Z in Jakarta towards advertisements containingCOVID-19 information. Research design, data and methodology: This study is a quantitative method with partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SMART PLS as an analytical tool. The sample size is 216 participants was obtained randomly through a questionnaire distributed online. This study consisted of exogenous variables (advertising content, value, irritation, and economic benefits), endogenous variables (attitudes towards advertising), and some moderating roles. Results: The results of thi study explain that this generation's attitude towards advertising is affected by the content and value aspects embedded in advertisements. Value can be formed from creativity in making advertising content as interesting and informative as possible. Neither the irritating aspect of advertising nor the economic value that is formed acts as a moderator of the content and the value of the ad. Conclusions: The ongoing pandemic and periodic adjustments to government policies regarding COVID-19, these results can be compared with other advertisements for future studies, especially those using the same variables as this study.

  • Amazon Go is a cashierless convenience store concept, which is seen as a disruption in the grocery retail segment. Although Amazon Go has the ability to disrupt the retail segment, there are speculations on how Amazon Go will be perceived by users. Existing studies have not utilized user-generated content to understand the factors that affect customer behaviour in case of Amazon Go. Additionally, in case of phygital retail, studies have not attempted at understanding the effect of emotions and gratifications on user behaviour. To address the gap of exploring user perspectives based on their experience, we have examined the impact of gratifications and emotions on the acceptance of phygital retail using user-generated-content. A mixed-method approach has been utilized using only user-generated content. Utilizing topic-modelling based content analysis and emotion analysis on 30 articles related to Amazon Go, we found themes like, convenience, technology, experience, personalization, enjoyment and emotions like, bad, good, annoyance, success. In the empirical analysis, we have utilized 522 reviews about Amazon Go from the cognition and emotion theory stance, and found that hedonic gratifications have a positive impact on challenge emotions. We also found a significant impact of emotions on customer's favourite behaviour.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the three-dimensional (3D) characteristics and reproducibility of the effective expression of North American smocking pleats in the process of making clothes using a 3D virtual clothing system (CLO) and present a method of expression according to the types of North American smocking. In this study, lattice, lozenge, and flower smocking were produced as real smocking and 3D virtual content, and actual muslin properties were measured using a Fabric Kit and reflected using an emulator. The results of this study confirmed that a dense puckered design such as North American smocking could be expressed depending upon the internal line, fold angle, and reinforcement setting for 3D smocking. To partially apply pleats to flat fabrics, it was necessary to set fold lines. The fold line setting could be expressed by designing the internal line in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal directions according to the North American smocking design, and then setting the fold angle for each internal line. By setting fold angles of 0 degrees and 360 degrees according to the folding direction of the set internal line, the fabric was clearly folded and stable pleats were created. This study will contribute to the vitalization of the 3D virtual fashion content industry by analyzing and presenting the optimal expression method of sophisticated and complex pleats generated according to the North American smocking design pattern.

  • In this study, we developed a chatbot (Dialogue agent) using small Q & A data and evaluated its performance. The chatbot developed in this study was developed in the form of an FAQ chatbot that responds promptly to customer inquiries. The development of chatbot was conducted in three stages : 1. Analysis and planning, 2. Content creation, 3. API and messenger interworking. During the analysis and planning phase, we gathered and analyzed the question data of the customers and extracted the topics and details of the customers' questions. In the content creation stage, we created scenarios for each topic and sub-items, and then filled out specific answers in consultation with business owners. API and messenger interworking is KakaoTalk. The performance of the chatbot was measured by the quantitative indicators such as the accuracy that the chatbot grasped the inquiry of the customer and correctly answered, and then the questionnaire survey was conducted on the chatbot users. As a result of the survey, it was found that the chatbot not only provided useful information to the users but positively influenced the image of the pension. This study shows that it is possible to develop chatbots by using easily obtainable data and commercial API regardless of the size of business. It also implies that we have verified the validity of the development process by verifying the performance of developed chatbots as well as an explicit process of developing FAQ chatbots.

  • A Maengjong-juk (Phyllostachys pubescence) leaves tea was prepared by using a series of drying/roasting and rolling processes. The produced tea contained abundant dietary fibers (60.42%), $\beta$-carotenes (7.9 mg RE%), and calcium (437.1 mg%). Also the polyphenol content ($155.33\;{\mu}g/g$-tea) and DPPH free radical scavenging activity ($IC_{50}=212\;{\mu}g/mL$) of Maengjong-juk leaves tea were greatly higher than those of simply dried leaves. These results imply that the tea preparation is effective to utilize the useful components of Maengjong-juk leaves.

  • This study explored the current implementation status of corporate social responsibility (CSR) among textiles and apparel manufacturers and retailers in Korea, based on the Triple Bottom Line (TBL). We also investigated the provision of information related to CSR practices on the websites of companies. A quantitative content analysis was conducted to analyze the website disclosures of 61 listed companies categorized in the textiles, apparel, shoes, and luxury industry. Analysis was focused on the presence, accessibility, and the level of CSR website disclosure. Seven themes emerged by applying the constant comparison analysis. Using Scott's formula for pi, a high level of inter-coder reliability was achieved, ranging from 0.91 to 0.97. Regarding the three dimensions of CSR suggested in TBL, economic dimension was relatively more emphasized in the website disclosures of most companies, compared to social and environment dimensions. Website disclosures were further investigated, based on the product categories of each company. Limitations of this study and suggestions for future studies are discussed.

  • The mobile market has introduced unprecedented shopping opportunities to customers and is expected to grow rapidly over time. However, little is known about how customers make purchase decisions in the mobile market. The purpose of this study is to investigate the drivers of mobile VOD purchases and to deliver valuable insights to mobile business operators. We focus on the purchase of VOD contents that have to be purchased and consumed using mobile devices and examine how individual-level purchase decisions are determined by three factors: perceived usefulness, usage behavior, and privacy concern. We obtained the panel data from a leading market research company that contains the mobile logs and survey results. Our main results suggest the followings. First, the perceived usefulness affects customers' mobile VOD contents purchases positively whereas the usage behavior exerts no influence on mobile contents purchases. Moreover, the privacy concern lowers the positive effect of perceived usefulness on mobile content purchases; however, it enhances the effect of the usage behavior on mobile contents purchases. These empirical findings indicate that mobile business operators should pay more attention to potential differences in perception and behavior using mobile devices and keep in mind that the privacy concern plays an additional key role in driving mobile contents purchases.
