  • We demonstrate 4-in QVGA active-matrix electrophoretic display based on ink-jet printed organic transistors on glass substrates. Our TFT array had a bottom-gate, bottom-contact device architecture. The organic semiconductor and gate dielectric were solution processed. The field-effect mobility of the printed devices, calculated in the saturation region, was $0.1{\sim}0.3cm^2/Vs$ at Vg=-20 V.

  • We have demonstrated the novel technique for spacing two flexible substrates in stable by using rigid pillar spacer array and micro-contact printing assembling technique. Specially designed columnar structure generates self-collected adhesive polymer feature results in a good adhesion and a high mechanical stability to the external bending deformations.

  • This paper and the rear passivation experiment was local back surface field Nd:$YVO_4$ green laser and the experiment was used performed to screen printing. Laser power 100%, with a fixed frequency for 60kHz Current of 29A and 30A were tested in two conditions. The point contact distances of 0.2mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm and 29A and 30A current conditions, it was found that is suitable for 0.4mm.

  • It has been proven in previous work that rosin sizing agents are distributed relatively homogeneously on the outer surface of paper. Therefore, rosin sizing agents on paper surfaces can be characterized by macro domain measurement techniques with very thin layer from the surface. In this work, the role of rosin sizing agents on paper surface was investigated by comparing wettability from contact angle measurement with the chemical state of the outermost surface by the ESCA. Furthermore, the role of rosin on the surface of paper was discussed by the quantity of hydroxyl groups obtained from chemical modification with the TFAA-ESCA technique. It was found from the ESCA data that the fixing mechanism with soap-type rosin sizing is different from that with emulsion-type rosin sizing.

  • The shape of nozzle cross-section plays an important role in stabilizing electrospray jet. The angle of contact line is governed based on the famous Young-Laplace equation. Compared to a round nozzle that has a constant curvature along the orifice, the square nozzle has four square corner edges and four straight edges that hold the meniscus in a different manner and is of interest in this study. By utilizing both square and round capillary nozzle, we examine the effect of nozzle shape in electrohydrodynamic jetting. The ejections were recorded with a high speed camera and analyzed to examine the jetting repeatability based on dynamic movement of meniscus. The result suggests that if the corner edges are not sharp, then its effect on repeatability is also limited.

  • Graphene based nano-electronic and nano-electromechanical devices will be introduced in this presentation. The first part of the presentation will be covered by our recent results on the fabrication and physical properties of artificially twisted bilayer graphene. Thanks to the recently developed contact transfer printing method, a single layer graphene sheet is stacked on various substrates/nano-structures in a controlled manner for fabricating e.g. a suspended graphene device, and single-bilayer hybrid junction. The Raman and electrical transport results of the artificially twisted bilayer indicates the decoupling of the two graphene sheets. The graphene based electromechanical devices will be presented in the second part of the presentation. Carbon nanotube based nanorelay and A new concept of non-volatile memory based on the carbon nanotube field effect transistor together with microelectromechanical switch will be briefly introduced at first. Recent progress on the graphene based nano structures of our group will be presented. The array of graphene resonators was fabricated and their mechanical resonance properties are discussed. A novel device structures using carbon nanotube field effect transistor combined with suspended graphene gate will be introduced in the end of this presentation.

  • The purpose of this work is to investigate a back surface field (BSF) on variety wafer resistivity for industrial crystalline silicon solar cells. As pointed out in this manuscript, doping a crucible grown Cz Si ingot with Ga offers a sure way of eliminating the light induced degradation (LID) because the LID defect is composed of B and O complex. However, the low segregation coefficient of Ga in Si causes a much wider resistivity variation along the Ga doped Cz Si ingot. Because of the resistivity variation the Cz Si wafer from different locations has different performance as know. In the light of B doped wafer, we made wider resistivity in Si ingot; we investigated the how resistivities work on the solar cells performance as a BSF quality.

  • A real-time inspection system has been developed by combining CCD based image processing algorithm and a standard lighting equipment. The system was tested for defective fabrics showing nozzle contact scratch marks, which were one of the frequently occurring defects. Multi-resolution analysis(MRA) algorithm were used and evaluated according to both their processing time and detection rate. Standard value for defective inspection was the mean of the non-defect image feature. Similarity was decided via comparing standard value with sample image feature value. Totally, we achieved defective inspection accuracy above 95%.

  • We demonstrate novel soft-lithographic techniques for preparing patterned liquid crystal (LC) orientations at an alignment layer. By controlling patterning conditions such as wetting property and operating temperature depending on polymeric materials, multi-directional or modified LC alignment conditions can be simply achieved.

  • We fabricated a coplanar type organic thin-film transistors using ink-jet printed silver source/drain electrodes and ${\alpha},{\omega}-dihexylquaterthiophene$ (DH4T) which is an active layer. Use of ink-jet printed silver nanoparticle-based metal electrode assists the energetic mismatch with p-type organic semiconductor via modification of their interfacial properties to enable ohmic contact formation.
