Increased Chicken Consumption along with the Coordinated Structure Change in Korea

  • The chicken has been growing in Korea for more than a thousand years according to the history book and commercially rising for broiler meat only since 1960's. As income increased mainly due to improved economy, it changes the habit of eating especially chicken meat. The structure changes into a coordinated production and marketing system which forced the prevailed small and independent producers to become a contract farmer under the vertically controlled practices. This coordinated structure began in 1970's and evolved continually to occupy around 90 percent of the market in 2010 with some ten (10) private brands being advertising. The industrial organizations have also conducted the generic promotion by a farmer's check-off program. Over the past 20 years, chicken import steadily increased to meet about 25 percent of the domestic market while the export showed negligible growth. As a whole, the structure change and international trade devoted to increased chicken consumption from 2 kg with the independent operation to 11 kg currently under the coordinated system and import. It is predicted that chicken consumption will grow in years to come and the import will also increase in addition to local productions, considering the free trade agreement that has already been in practice with EU and US to open the market eventually from all sources of supply worldwide.

A CPLD Low Power Algorithm considering the Structure (구조를 고려한 CPLD 저전력 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose a CPLD low power algorithm considering the structure. The proposed algorithm is implemented CPLD circuit FC(Feasible Cluster) for generating a problem occurs when the node being split to overcome the area and power consumption can reduce the algorithm. CPLD to configure and limitations of the LE is that the number of OR-terms. FC consists of an OR node is divided into mainly as a way to reduce the power consumption with the highest number of output nodes is divided into a top priority. The highest number of output nodes with the highest number of switching nodes become a cut-point. Division of the node is the number of OR-terms of the number of OR-terms LE is greater than adding the input and output of the inverter converts the AND. Reduce the level, power consumption and area.   • Because the hospital building operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for treatment and restoration of patients, it has a different pattern of energy use than that of ordinary buildings. Hospitals contribute to energy consumption and have a negative environmental impact. This study aims to find how meaningful energy performance, reflecting good energy management and ECMs, can be operated for hospital buildings, a category encompassing complex buildings with different systems and large differences between them. In this study, we proposed the energy diagnosis & evaluation method and energy management process to verify energy saving through operation data based on system & facility characteristics, operation pattern and energy consumption characteristics of hospital building. Energy consumption structures were surveyed throughout 4 reference hospital in Seoul, Korea. Findings confirm that different hospital departments have hugely different energy-demand profiles. Energy efficiency and energy saving potentials are presented. The energy performance analysis can be applied to a wide range of problems in energy-system operation.

  • In recently, the interest of high strength and flowing concrete, to improve quality and workability of concrete, is gradually increased. In order to make high strength and flowing concrete, many processes may be considered, the water reducing technique using superplasticizer seems to be the most practical, but domestic superplsticizers are not widely used because of economical efficiency, low quality and lack of understanding in construction field. The purpose of this report is to analyze the consumption structure and behavior of domastic acmixtures containing superplasticizer, and to examine about, dessemination of superplasticizer.

  • In this paper, main mechanism and measurement method of energy consumption for machine tools are investigated by experiment and simulation. To evaluate total energy consumption of the machine tools, standard test workpiece and measuring method and test procedures are suggested. And, improvement of energy consumption evaluation by the motion kinematics theory is used. In addition, to estimate energy consumption of machine tools in design process, mass distribution of the structure and 5 axis motions are investigated and simulated by numerical analysis.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factor structure of self-efficacy, consumer behavior, and the learning effects of the unit 'Consumption Life' and to study the effects of self-efficacy on the consumer behavior, and the learning effects of the unit 'Consumption Life'. Questionnaires were administered to 370 female middle school students living in the Metropolitan City of Daegu. The data was analyzed by using the frequency, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression, and t-test. The findings are as follow. Self-efficacy was composed of five factors such as the capability in work performance, rational performance, fear, anxiety, and the ability to challenge oneself. Consumer behavior was composed of five factors such as emphasis on product display, emphasis on information, emphasis on fashion, emphasis on appearance, and the products/information exchange. The learning effects of the unit 'Consumption Life' was composed of two factors in the economical consumption, and rational consumption. The effects of consumer behavior and the learning effects of the unit 'Consumption Life' on each of the self-efficacy factors like the capability in work performance, rational performance, fear, anxiety, the ability to challenge oneself were explained by factors such as emphasis on product display, emphasis on information, emphasis on fashion, emphasis on appearance and products/information exchange, and economical consumption and rational consumption.

The Effect of Adolescents′ Consumption Values on the Clothing Products Evaluation (청소년 소비가치가 의류 제품 정가에 미치는 영향)

  • The Purpose of this study is to determine the effect of new generation adolescents' clothing consumption values on their evaluation of clothing products. In the positive analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted. Particularly, based on Sheth's (1991) theory, a focus group Interview was performed to develop the questionnaire on adolescents' clothing consumption values. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, young consumers have different values and clothing purchasing behavior from adults. To be specific, adolescents tended to appreciate fashionable and sensual values among clothing consumption values. Second, it was found that adolescents'personal values and their group-wise clothing consumption values affected their evaluation of clothing products. Such a finding may explain the relationship between value system and purchasing decisions. Namely, adolescents' evaluation of clothing products is affected by their value system. This finding supports the consumer value system suggested by the "expectation-value" theory. Thus, values and clothing products evaluation are neither separated from each other nor unrelated, but they affect each other in an abstract hierarchial structure. After all, through the route model, personal values affect clothing consumption values, which in turn affect clothing products evaluation. Besides, the clothing consumption values are affected by gender directly or indirectly. All in all, some specific indices regarding the abstract and hierarchial consumption values could be offered by analyzing the effects of adolescents' consumption values on their evaluation of clothing products in reference to the external clues of price and trademark manipulated, and thereby, the effects of consumption values on the positive clothing products evaluation could be determined in general.n general.

Prediction Model for Gas-Energy Consumption using Ontology-based Breakdown Structure of Multi-Family Housing Complex (온톨로지 기반 공동주택 분류체계를 활용한 가스에너지 사용량 예측 모델)

  • Global warming caused by excessive greenhouse gas emission is causing climate change all over the world. In Korea, greenhouse gas emission from residential buildings accounts for about 10% of gross domestic emission. Also, the number of deteriorated multi-family housing complexes is increasing. Therefore, the goal of this research is to establish the bases to manage energy consumption continuously and methodically during MR&R period of multi-family housings. The research process and methodologies are as follows. First, research team collected the data on project characteristics and energy consumption of multi-family housing complexes in Seoul. Second, an ontology-based breakdown structure was established with some primary characteristics affecting the energy consumption, which were selected by statistical analysis. Finally, a predictive model of energy consumption was developed based on the ontology-based breakdown structure, with application of CBR, ANN, MRA and GA. In this research, PASW (Predictive Analytics SoftWare) Statistics 18, Microsoft EXCEL, Protege 4.1 were utilized for data analysis and prediction. In future research, the model will be more continuous and methodical by developing the web-base system. And it has facility manager of government or local government, or multi-family housing complex make a decision with definite references regarding moderate energy consumption.

Design of a Slim-Type Auto-Focusing Module with a Cam Structure (캠 구조를 가지는 초소형 자동초점 모듈 설계)

  • Recently, the growing market demand for small and slim mobile phone cameras requires the size reduction of the camera module. In this paper, an auto-focusing actuator for camera phones is proposed by converting the rotational motion by a rotary VCM actuator into the linear motion using a novel cam structure. This new concept for auto-focusing module enables the reduction of the module thickness and low power consumption. This paper presents the theoretical analysis and optimal design for VCM actuator, cam structure and preload spring. Finally, the experimental results using a prototype with the size of $9.9{\times}9.9{\times}5.9\;mm^3$ are compared with the theoretical predictions.

  • Data mining is to discover problems in the large amounts of data. Also, data mining trying to find the cause of the problem and the structure. Building energy consumption patterns, the amount of data is infinite. Also, the patterns have a lot of direct and indirect effects. Discussion is needed about the correlation. This work looking for the cause of energy consumption. As a result, energy management can find out the issue. Building energy analysis utilizing data mining techniques to predict energy consumption. And the results are as follows: 1) Using data mining technique, We classified complicated data to several patterns and gained meaningful informations from them. 2) Using cluster analysis, We classified building energy consumption data of residents and analyzed characters of patterns.
