종합슈퍼마켓 PB상품의 선택속성이 소비감정, 브랜드태도 및 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향 (PB Product Attributes' Effects on Consumption Emotion, Brand Attitude, and Brand Loyalty in General Supermarkets)

  • Purpose - PB (Private Brand) refers to the product for which the distribution company plans the production independently, consigns the production to the manufacturer, or attaches the self-developed trademark and sells it. To reinforce competitiveness in such a market environment, diverse products development, systematic management activities, and marketing efforts to analyze and understand the consumers' behavior regarding PB products are emphasized. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the relationships among PB product attributes, consumption emotion, brand attitude, and brand loyalty in general supermarkets. First, PB product attributes were defined using the five categories of perceived price, store image, familiarity, perceived service, and perceived quality, based on preceding studies. This study examined the influence of PB product attributes on consumption. Further, this study examined the relation among consumption emotion, brand attitude, and brand loyalty. This study provides more detailed and concentrated strategic implications. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, the research model was designed to examine the relation among PB product attributes, consumption emotion, brand attitude, and brand loyalty. For the data collection method, the questionnaire survey comprised multiple items for each component and the direct interview method was employed. To collect data, the questionnaire survey was conducted for customers who personally visited the general supermarket after verifying the PB product purchase experience. The questionnaire survey was performed for one month, May 2014. A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed and 240 questionnaires were used for the analysis, excluding the unanswered and insincere questionnaires. The data were analyzed using SPSS ver. 20.0. Results - First, PB product attributes had a significantly positive effect on consumption emotion. The PB product attributes perceived by the customer at the point of service contact are important to form the positive consumption emotion. Second, consumption emotion had a significantly positive effect on brand attitude. Third, the consumption emotion had a significantly positive effect on brand loyalty. Such consumption emotion is an important factor in causing the positive evaluation on the brand attitude perceived by the customer. Fourth, brand attitude had a significantly positive effect on brand loyalty. The consumption emotion was positively represented to invoke the relational continuance behavior. The relational continuance behavior accompanies the repetition of purchase, word of mouth, and recommendation activities, and influences trust regarding the brand, for which the customer maintains the transaction continuously. Conclusions - The PB product attributes perceived by the customer at the point of service contact are important factors to form the positive consumption emotion. Based on this result, the discount store service provider would prepare the measures that can make the customer recognize the positive value, and make more detailed efforts. Consumption emotion is an important factor to cause the positive evaluation on the brand attitude perceived by the customer. Based on this result, the general supermarket must make efforts to provide fun or convenience in the purchase process for consumers.

패션아웃렛과 백화점 이용 소비자의 점포혼합애고행동 (Store Patronage Mix Behavior between Fashion Outlet and Department Store Consumers)

  • The purpose of this study was 1) to find out the consumer patronage mix of department and fashion outlet stores, 2) to compare the clothing and price attitudes among store patronage groups and 3) to compare the importance of the stores' attributes among the store patronage groups. The subjects were 381 female consumers in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas. Questionnaires were used to collect the data. The data was analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's Multiple Range Test and Cronbach's Alpha. The results were as follows. First, clothing purchasing attitudes of the total respondents were classified by three factors: fashion/confident oriented, appearance oriented, and brand-name oriented. Also, clothing price attitudes were composed of three factors: price/quality-prestige inference, discount/low price pursuit and benefit/value pursuit. In addition, the importance of the store's attributes was composed of five factors: convenience/service, concern of fashion outlet store, brand-name/fashionability, awareness of fashion outlet store, and practical advantage of the store. Second, the department store patronage group was significantly different from the fashion outlet store patronage group in clothing attitude, price attitude, and the importance of the store attribute. Third, the responses of the department store patronage group were significantly different from those of the fashion outlet store patronage group in product reliability and awareness of the fashion outlet store.

소비자가 제품에서 추구하는 소비자가치: 제품 속성과 가시성에 따른 4가지 제품유형을 중심으로 (Consumer Values Derived from Products by Consumers: Difference among the Four Types of Products Classified with Product Attributes and Visibility)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand consumer values derived from products by the contemporary consumers, as the meaning of a product is extended from the functional utilities to the mediums of fulfilling consumer values. Consumer values have been researched from the marketers' perspectives and, thus, the scales to measure consumer values tend to be too abstract and not always reflective of the consumers' perspectives. Holbrook's typology of consumer values is utilized and the products are classified into four groups according to the product characteristic of the utilitarian versus hedonic, and the consumption spaces of the indoor and outdoor. The findings are as follows. First, the values of efficiency, excellence, ethics, and spirituality are more likely derived from utilitarian products, while the value of play is more likely derived from the hedonic products. Second, the values of efficiency, excellence, and ethics are more likely derived from the indoor products, and values of playfulness, esthetics, status, and respect are more likely derived from the outdoor products. Third, the most frequently mentioned values are the efficiency, playfulness, and status. Fourth, the list of products answered as being representative for four types of products are short to include obvious products such as TV, mobile phone, computer, car, refrigerator, and MP3 player. Both the utilitarian and hedonic values are derived from TV, computer, and mobile phone, while the utilitarian value from refrigerator and car, and the hedonic value from MP3 player, digital camera, and game consoles. The results imply that consumer values should be carefully understood and reflected in developing new products in order to successfully fulfill consumers' underlying needs and requirements.

Consumers' Choice for Fresh Food at Online Shopping in the Time of Covid19

  • Purpose: This study aims at investigating consumers' choice in online food purchasing behavior and the impact on repurchase for fresh food delivery which has recently shown rapid growth in Korea. The study focuses on the user experience factors af fecting satisfaction and intention to continuously use the online food market. Research design, data and methodology: The survey was conducted by 309 people who had purchased fresh food online, and the analysis was conducted using SPSS and AMOS. Structural Equation Modeling was used for the analysis for the verification of hypotheses. The factors that consumers value when ordering fresh food delivery services were defined as system quality, service quality, commodity quality, brand characteristics, and economics from the preceding study and the relationship between satisfaction and willingness to repurchase was verified. Results: When consumers purchase fresh food online, system quality, product quality, brand characteristics, and economics have had a significant impact on satisfaction. Meanwhile, of the five optional attributes of consumers, only economic efficiency has been verified to have a statistically significant impact on repurchase intentions. Conclusions: The results of the study suggested factors that consumers consider important when ordering fresh food online, providing basic data for companies to develop related strategies.

주택의 환경 성능에 대한 소비자의 실질적 가치에 대한 연구 (The Research on Consumers' Actual Value for Environmental Performance of houses)

  • First aim of this study is to investigate consumer's actual value for environment related performance of house by using three different method, Ranking, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Conjoint Analysis method. Second aim is to estimate consumers' monetary value about environment related factor through Marginal Willing to Pay(MWTP), and third aim is to find out the difference of values between the groups classified according to respondents' characteristics. A questionnaire survey was carried out in Seoul in order to clarify the preference and monetary value of four selected attributes. They are environmental performance, residents' health, home automation and increase of floor area. As a result, people showed high values in the order of health, environmental consideration, increase of floor area and home automation. Moreover, it was found out that MWTP for environmental performance and health are higher than market price. In addition, the group of high age and group of female showed high values for the reduction of $CO_2$ emission

Quality Attributes of Fat-free Sausage Made of Chicken Breast and Liquid Egg White

  • We developed a type of sausage made of chicken breast and liquid egg whites for consumers interested in weight management. To determine the quality of the product, its chemical characteristics, fatty acid composition, free amino acid contents, and nucleotides contents were evaluated during 4 weeks of storage. Sensory evaluation was conducted by both general consumers and body-builders. The sausage was proposed as a fat-free product as fat content was 0.12% based on the Korean Indication Standard of Animal Origin Food. Protein content was 13.42% and calorie value was 61.50 kcal/100 g of the sausage. In sensory evaluation, the mixture of chicken breast and egg whites stuffed into the same casing had an adverse effect on taste, color, texture and overall acceptance while the product that contained egg white stuffed separately into the outer casing enclosing the chicken breast (double layer) improved these attributes. The developed double-layer sausage can last for at least 4 weeks of storage without quality deterioration of flavor-related compounds, such as fatty acids and nucleotides.

  • Recently, consumers are tend to purchase the user-centered designed product using interface enginnering and human factors techniques. Therefore, it is important that the designer's requirements should be analyzed focused on the human machine interface. This paper described the interface usability evaluation technique(suvjective evaluation) for the interface between user and product. This methodology is the integrated interface usbility evaluation method AHP and Conjoint Analysis. AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is a multicriteria decision model to give priority after expressing hierarchically for decision making problem. Conjoint Analysis enduavors to unravel the value, or partworths, that consumers place on the product or service's attributes from experimental subjects' evluation of profiles based on hypothetical products or services. A new usability test methodology proposed by this paper includes techniques jointed both consistency test by AHP and experimental subjective evaluation of profiles by Conjoint Analysis for evaluating the user's emotion and impression.

여대생들의 소셜커머스를 통한 음식점과 식품 구매 속성이 만족도와 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Social Commerce Attributes on the Satisfaction and Repurchasing Intention for a College Women Student according to Restaurant and Food Choices)

  • Social commerce is becoming an increasingly popular shopping method among college women students. This study focuses on the influence of the satisfaction lavels and repurchasing intentions by consumers for restaurant and food choices according to social commerce attributes. In this survey, 351 valid surveys are being used to test the hypothesized (183 users and 168 non-usesr within 6 months), in order to ensure validity and reliability. As a result, factors such as perceived value, product diversity & information, delivery, ordering convenience, site character, price competitiveness, time pressure, and real time information are all being found. Factors of perceived value (p<0.001), price competitiveness (p<0.001), product diversity & information (p<0.05), delivery (p<0.05), and site character (p<0.05) significantly influence the customer satisfaction rates. Factors of perceived value (p<0.001), price competitiveness (p<0.001), time pressure (p<0.001), and site character (p<0.01) significantly influence the repurchasing intentions. In addition, it has been found that the customer satisfaction rates significantly influence repurchase intentions.

대형할인점 PB제품 속성이 소비자의 태도와 구매행동에 미치는 영향 (An Effect of the PB Products attribute of the Large-sized Discount Stores on the Consumer Attitude and the Purchase Behavior)

  • 최근 대형할인점을 중심으로 PB제품의 매출액이 꾸준하게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 가격이 저렴하다는 이유로 소비자들이 선호하는 것으로 인식되었으나 요즈음은 고가의 프리미엄 PB제품이 등장하면서 유통업체의 매출액이 급성장하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 PB제품의 어떤 속성이 PB제품의 구매행동에 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보고자 하였다. 첫째, PB제품의 속성요인으로 점포이미지, 지식 및 정보, 품질지각, 경제적 가치 등이 PB제품 경험 후의 소비자태도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 둘째, PB제품의 경험 후 태도가 구매행동에는 어떠한 영향을 주는가를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 소비자는 PB제품의 다양한 속성 중에서 점포이미지, 정보 및 지식, 경제적 가치 등이 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 또한 PB제품 경험 후의 태도는 구매행동에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

해상안전 통계 항목 다양화를 위한 EDA 기반 통계 속성 도출 및 활용에 관한 연구 (Study on the EDA based Statistics Attributes Discovery and Utilization for the Maritime Safety Statistics Items Diversification)

  • 과학적 행정을 위한 증거 기반 정책 수립과 평가에 대한 요구로 통계(데이터) 활용 중요성이 날로 강조되고 있다. 통계는 사회전반의 현상을 수치로 제공함으로써 직관적으로 어떤 현상을 설명할 수 있도록 하며, 합리적인 의사결정을 위한 공공자원으로 설명된다. 이러한 특성으로 통계는 정부 정책 결정 및 각종 현상의 연구·분석 등에 기초자료이자 근거자료로 널리 활용되고 있으나 그 중요성에 비해 통계의 역할은 제한적인 수준이다. 이는 현재 개방된 통계가 단순 결과 요약 자료 수준이며 공급자 위주로 생산되어 수요자 관점에서 가치 창출을 위한 수단으로는 부족하다는 의미이며, 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제 보완을 위해 현재 제공되는 통계 항목 외에 정책이나 연구에 다양하게 활용할 수 있는 추가 속성을 탐색했다. 연구에 활용한 기준 통계자료는 해양경찰청에서 발간하는 「해상조난사고 통계 연보」이며, 해양경찰에서 작성하는 선박사고 상황보고서 텍스트 분석을 통해 추가할 수 있는 속성들을 도출했다. 텍스트 분석을 통해 도출된 56개 속성에 대해 데이터를 수집하고 EDA를 수행한 결과, 유의확률(p-value < .05)을 만족하는, 상관계수 0.7 이상의 강한 상관관계가 있는 속성 조합 18개와, 중간 정도의 상관관계(0.4 이상 0.7 미만)를 가지는 속성조합 70개, 총 88개의 조합을 발굴할 수 있었다. 더불어 EDA를 통해 발견된 추가 속성을 정책적으로 활용하기 위해 수난대비기본계획 세부 전략별 키워드 분석을 실시하고, 키워드와 EDA 도출 속성 간 매칭작업을 통해 속성의 활용 가능 여부를 검토했다.
