패스트 패션 브랜드에 대한 소비자의 구매 후 행동 - 기대불일치 모형을 중심으로 - (Post-purchase behavior toward fast fashion brands - Applying the expectancy disconfirmation model -)

  • The purpose of this study is to apply the expectancy disconfirmation model to consumer post-purchase behavior toward fast fashion brands. This study incorporated repurchase intention as a result of consumer satisfaction. It was hypothesized that consumer satisfaction, which is influenced by expectation, perceived performance, and disconfirmation, influences repurchase intention. It was also hypothesized that expectation influences performance. This study examined the brands and prices of the most recent purchases of fast fashion and also examined whether the purchases were planned or unplanned. The hypothesized path was tested and the relative influences of instrumental and symbolic performance on satisfaction were identified. Data were collected from questionnaires answered by 344 university students who were selected by convenience sampling. The results were as follows: 1) Purchased brands were, in the order of frequency of purchase, Uniqlo, Zara, H&M, and Forever21, followed by domestic brands, 8seconds, Spao, and Mixxo. The frequency of unplanned purchase was more than twice higher than planned purchase. 2) Based on expectation and performance, dissatisfactory group was larger than satisfactory group, which were 35.8% and 24.7% respectively. 3) It was revealed from the expectancy disconfirmation model analysis that expectation and performance had positive influence, but cognitive dissonance had negative influence on satisfaction. Satisfaction had significant influence on repurchase intention. The path analysis showed that all hypothesized path coefficients were significant. The results suggest some effective marketing strategies for marketers in the fast fashion industry.

외식업체 도시락 이용에 대한 중요도-만족도 조사 (A Survey of Consumer Importance-Satisfaction on Prepackaged Meals (Dosirak) Sold by Food Service Providers)

  • A study was performed on the consumption of prepackaged meals (Dosirak) sold by food service providers through Importance-Satisfaction Analysis (ISA) to determine the factors that consumers seek in quality Dosirak. According to the analysis, food service providers need to concentrate on food freshness and temperature while maintaining food taste. As for food packaging, consumers were found to prefer microwaveable plastic containers the most (29.3%). Nonetheless, they found that packaging needed improvements in securing food content during transportation and in food labeling, especially for expiration dates. The study also investigated which factors, including menu selection and advertising, affected the sales of food service provider Dosirak the most. The most important factor was determined to be price. Regarding menu selection, the quality of food seasoning and ingredients, daily specials and the variety of combination sets were found to be important. Availability of delivery (3.83/5.00), advance ordering (3.82/5.00) and discounts (3.75/5.00) were important factors in advertising. The conclusions of the study point to a consumer base that recognizes the ease and benefits of Dosirak but desires high quality food items at low cost. To expand the consumer base, food service providers must continually develop new menu items that satisfy consumer tastes and trends, maintain sanitary conditions and improve food labelling.

저염화 라면의 소비자 선호 분석을 활용한 기술사업화 전략 (Technological Commercialization Strategy based on Consumer Preference Analysis of Low-sodium Instant noodle Ramen)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a technology commercialization strategy by analyzing the consumer preference for low-sodium instant noodle ramen, which has a sodium content of 1,730 mg or less. For the commercialization of such low-sodium ramen, this study examined how much consumers would pay through an analysis of consumer preference by conjoint analysis. This study surveyed 1,004 men and women in their 20 s and 50 s between the ages of 20 and 50 years in Korea using an online survey. If the price of conventional instant noodle ramen is KRW 4,000 (approximately USD 3.57) per 5 packs for one pack of 5 servings in a supermarket, this study surveyed how much more they respondents would pay if the sodium was reduced by 10.0, 20.0, and 30.0%. The study found that if sodium was reduced by 10.0, 20.0, and 30.0%, the respondents would pay as much as KRW 4,180, KRW 4,307, and KRW 4,515, respectively. The attributes of low-sodium instant noodle ramen were examined according to the degree of sodium reduction, vegetable protein ingredients, brand, where to buy and price with each level. The Marginal Willingness To Pay (MWTP) was analyzed as follows. If the sodium content of ramen soup is reduced by 1.0%, the amount that can be paid would be KRW 105.78. Respondents could pay KRW 1,673 more for famous brand ramen than an unknown brand ramen. The study results indicated that when a new product is developed and released, it can be expected to increase sales of the new product by understanding the foreseeable value that consumers could pay for and realize the technological commercialization of the technology.

  • 본 연구는 패션 브랜드의 메타버스 속 가상 매장에서의 소비자 경험의 특성이 해당 매체에 대한 소비자들의 지각된 효용 및 자아 일치성 정도에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증 연구했다. 분석 결과, 패션 브랜드 메타버스 가상현실 매장 체험특성의 세 요인(사실성, 편재성, 익명성)은 모두 지각된 아바타 일치성에 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 한편 사실성과 편재성은 지각된 재미에 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤으나, 익명성이 지각된 재미에 미치는 영향은 유의하지 않았다. 한편 지각된 아바타 동일시성은 지각된 소비자-브랜드 자아 일치성에 유의한 정의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 메타버스 패션브랜드 가상현실 매장에서 지각된 재미는 통계적으로 지각된 소비자-브랜드 자아 일치성에 유의한 정의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

패션 크리에이터의 혁신성과 매력성이 소비자 반응 및 지속적 관계지향성에 미치는 영향 - 1인 미디어를 중심으로 - (The effects of fashion creators' innovativeness and attractiveness on consumer response and orientation toward a sustainable relationship - Focusing on personal media -)

  • This study analyzed the effects of fashion creators' innovativeness and attractiveness on consumer response and orientation toward a sustainable relationship in personal media. A survey was conducted with consumers aged in their 20s and 30s who had experience in sharing video content or writing comments and participating in fashion creators' real-time broadcasting of personal media. The results show that the innovativeness of fashion creators was classified into originality, opinion leadership, variety, and adventurous spirit, while attractiveness was classified into physical, social, and professional attractiveness. Consumer responses were classified into either emotional or cognitive responses, and sustainable relationship orientation was classified into communication, sharing, and relationship sustainability. The originality and variety of the fashion creators positively affected the emotional and cognitive responses of consumers. Adventurous spirit positively affected emotional response, whereas opinion leadership positively affected cognitive response. In addition, the social and professional attractiveness of fashion creators positively affected consumers' emotional and cognitive responses. Emotional and cognitive responses positively affected consumers' sustainable relationship orientation. The originality and opinion leadership of the fashion creators positively affected the three factors of sustainable relationship orientation, while variety positively affected communication and relationship sustainability. Fashion creators' social and professional attractiveness positively affected the three factors of sustainable relationship orientation, and physical attractiveness positively affected relationship sustainability. The results of this study are expected to provide useful data on the direction of fashion startups using personal media and marketing as well as distribution strategies in the fashion industry.

AI 쇼핑 도우미 사용자의 소비자 혁신 동기가 만족도와 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of AI shopping assistant's motivated consumer innovativeness on satisfaction and purchase intention)

  • This study aims to help companies with efficient investment and marketing strategies by empirically verifying the impact on satisfaction and purchase intention for artificial intelligence-based digital technology supported shopping assistants introduced in e-commerce. Frequency, factor, SEM, and multiple group analysises were conducted using SPSS 26.0 and Amos 26.0. As a result, first, motivated consumer innovativeness elements of AI shopping assistant were derived into a total of four categories: functional, hedonic, rational, and reliable. Second, in the order of hedonic and rational, satisfaction with the AI shopping assistant was significantly affected, and in the order of rational and functional, purchase intention was significantly affected. The satisfaction with the AI shopping assistant did not affect the purchase intention. Third, in the case of hedonic, the AI-preferred group had a more significant effect on satisfaction than the human-preferred group, and in the case of rational, there was no difference by group in purchase intention. Thus, it was found that consumers prefer AI shopping helpers for e-commerce because they can shop reasonably and are functionally convenient. Therefore, when introducing AI shopping assistants, it is essential to include content that can compare and analyze fundamental information, such as product prices, as well as search functions and payment system compatibility that facilitate shopping.

농식품소비자역량 정도에 따른 친환경식품, HMR 구매 및 외식행태 분석 - 2022 식품소비행태조사 자료를 바탕으로 - (Analysis of Eco-Friendly Food, HMR Purchases, and Eating-Out Behavior by the Level of Agri-Food Consumer Competency - Based on Food Consumption Behavior Survey for Food 2022 Data -)

  • This study was conducted to investigate whether there were differences in eco-friendly food, home meal replacement (HMR) purchases, and eating-out behavior according to the level of agri-food consumer competence. The data for the study were extracted from main food consumers (n=3,321) in the 2022 Food Consumption Behavior Survey. The competence index was divided into awareness-attitude-practice items, and three groups were classified by competence level. The results showed an agri-food consumer competency score of 70.62, with the highest score for awareness (73.96), followed by practice (69.28) and attitude (66.18). The frequency of purchasing eco-friendly food was higher in the excellent group compared to other groups, and quality and price satisfaction was higher with higher competency (p<0.001). Regarding HMR, the results showed that the shortage group had the lowest HMR consumption rate, and satisfaction decreased as competence decreased (p<0.001). The main reason for eating-out was to enjoy food in all groups (59.0%), followed by a lack of cooking time in the excellent group (15.7%) and hassle with food preparation in the moderate and shortage groups (17.3%, 16.6%) (p<0.001). In short, agri-food consumption competency showed differences by contents and components, and differences in food purchases and eating-out behavior by competency level were found.

친환경 제품에 대한 소비자의 심리적 불편함이 추가가격 지불 의향에 미치는 영향 및 제품군 관여의 조절효과 연구 (A study on the impact of consumers' psychological discomfort regarding eco-friendly products on their willingness to pay additional prices and the moderating effect of category involvement)

  • 소비자 관점에서 친환경 소비는 여전히 다양한 심리적 불편함을 유방할 수 있는 주제로서, 심리적 불현함은 부정적인 소비자 심리 메커니즘을 통해 친환경 소비 의사를 낮추는 작용을 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 친환경 제품에 대한 심리적 불편함이 이들이 해당 친환경 제품에 대해 갖는 추가가격 지불 의향에 미치는 영향력을 분석했다. 또한 이러한 관계에서 소비자의 제품군 관여가 갖는 조절효과를 분석했다. 총 407명의 미국 소비자들을 대상으로 진행된 온라인 설문에 의해 얻어진 소비자 응답 데이터를 바탕으로 한 통계적 분석 결과, 친환경 소비에 대해 갖고 있는 사람들의 심리적 불편함의 정도는 이들이 친환경 제품에 대해 갖는 추가가격 지불 의향에 직접적인 유의한 영향을 미치지는 않으나, 심리적 불편함이 추가가격 지불 의향에 미치는 영향력은 소비자의 제품군 관여 정도에 따라 유의하게 차이가 나는 것으로 확인되었다.

빅데이터의 연관규칙과 브랜드 충성도를 활용한 패션품목 구매패턴과 구매채널 전환패턴 분석 (Analyzing fashion item purchase patterns and channel transition patterns using association rules and brand loyalty in big data)

  • Until now, research on consumers' purchasing behavior has primarily focused on psychological aspects or depended on consumer surveys. However, there may be a gap between consumers' self-reported perceptions and their observable actions. In response, this study aimed to investigate consumer purchasing behavior utilizing a big data approach. To this end, this study investigated the purchasing patterns of fashion items, both online and in retail stores, from a data-driven perspective. We also investigated whether individual consumers switched between online websites and retail establishments for making purchases. Data on 516,474 purchases were obtained from fashion companies. We used association rule analysis and K-means clustering to identify purchase patterns that were influenced by customer loyalty. Furthermore, sequential pattern analysis was applied to investigate the usage patterns of online and offline channels by consumers. The results showed that high-loyalty consumers mainly purchased infrequently bought items in the brand line, as well as high-priced items, and that these purchase patterns were similar both online and in stores. In contrast, the low-loyalty group showed different purchasing behaviors for online versus in-store purchases. In physical environments, the low-loyalty consumers tended to purchase less popular or more expensive items from the brand line, whereas in online environments, their purchases centered around items with relatively high sales volumes. Finally, we found that both high and low loyalty groups exclusively used a single preferred channel, either online or in-store. The findings help companies better understand consumer purchase patterns and build future marketing strategies around items with high brand centrality.

브랜드 아이덴티티 기반 OSMU 전략 모델의 타당성 연구 : <해리포터 (Harry Potter)>를 중심으로 (A Validity Study on Brand Identity-based Strategy Model for Culture Content's One Source Multi Use : A Case Study on )

  • 브랜드 연구자들은 브랜드 마케팅과 관련된 모든 의사결정은 특정 브랜드의 브랜드 아이덴티티(brand identity)를 기반으로 이루어져야 한다고 주장한다. 본 연구는, 연구자들의 논의에 근거하여 문화콘텐츠 OSMU는 콘텐츠가 창출하는 부가가치를 극대화시키기 위한 마케팅 활동이며, 모든 OSMU관련 의사결정은 특정 콘텐츠의 브랜드 아이덴티티를 중심으로 이루어져야 한다고 주장한 '브랜드 아이덴티티 기반 문화콘텐츠 OSMU 전략모델'의 타당성을 검증하고자 하였다. 연구목적 달성을 위해, 성공한 문화콘텐츠이자 막대한 브랜드 가치를 지닌 파워브랜드로 평가되는 <해리포터>를 조사대상으로 선정, 브랜드 아이덴티티를 반영한 캐릭터 상품과 그렇지 않은 상품에 대한 소비자 태도 및 브랜드 자산의 차이를 설문조사를 통해 측정하였다. 조사 결과, 소비자들은 <해리포터>의 브랜드 아이덴티티인 '마법, 선악대결, 용기'가 반영된 상품에 대해서 더욱 호감을 느끼며, 품질이 좋은 것으로 인식한다는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 브랜드 아이덴티티의 효과적인 전달에 초점을 맞춘 OSMU 전략이 문화콘텐츠의 부가가치 극대화에 기여한다는 브랜드 아이덴티티 기반 OSMU 전략모델의 주장과 일치하는 결과이다. 하지만, 브랜드 아이덴티티를 반영한 캐릭터 상품이 브랜드 자산에 미치는 영향을 측정한 결과, <해리포터>에 대한 소비자 인지도, 충성도, 지각된 품질은 상대적으로 높았으나, 그 차이가 통계적으로 유의미하지는 않았고, 그에 따라 브랜드 아이덴티티 기반 OSMU가 콘텐츠의 브랜드 자산에 영향을 미친다는 피드백 효과는 확인되지 않았다. 하지만, 콘텐츠의 브랜드 자산이란 지속적인 소비자들의 콘텐츠 관련 경험을 통해 장기적으로 구축되는 것이기 때문에, 다양한 OSMU를 통한 브랜드 아이덴티티의 지속적인 전달이 정기적으로는 콘텐츠의 브랜드 자산에 긍정적 영향을 미칠 것이라는 해석의 여지도 남아있는 바, 이와 관련된 지속적인 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 실천적 관점에서 문화콘텐츠 OSMU 전략의 타당성을 실증적으로 논의한 최초의 연구이며, 성공 프로젝트를 위한 논의에서 한발 더 나아가, <해리포터>와 같은 문화콘텐츠 파워브랜드를 구축하기 위한 방법론에 대한 관심과 논의의 필요성을 제기하였다.
