Gas station consumers have become increasingly conscious of expanding choices and service options available at retail outlets. The purpose of this study was to determine key factors in customer choice of gas / service stations. This study seeks to identify key the relationship between socio-demographical variables and consumer choice, and consumer satisfaction and loyalty associated with gas / service station usage. The research instrument comprised of a questionnaire in the form of an on-line survey that was administered during November, 2010. A Total of 1,000 questionnaires were used in the final analysis. The collected data were treated with SPSS Windows 18.0 and analyzed in for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of were as following: First, there was a strong positive relationship between involvement, satisfaction, loyalty of gas station service. Second, satisfaction was significantly affected by involvement, the frequency of gasoline purchases, the information route and customer's occupation. Third, loyalty was significantly affected by consumer satisfaction, involvement, frequency of gasoline purchases, information route and customer's occupation.
This study aims to make clear how consumer's characteristic and involvement in infant's clothing effect on the purchasing behavior. Using questionnaire as a researching tool, I collected the date from 366 housewives who live in Seoul and have kids aged from two to six year-old. The results of the study were as follows : First, they showed a significance on the correlation between sub-variants of involvement in their child's clothing like interest, importance and cognition of danger and those of purchasing behavior like directions to trademark, beauty and practicality, and so that, ti was realized that the involvement have a great effect on their purchasing behavior like. This was of the same opinion that when they think economic significance seriously, they also think practical function importantly. It seems that such a result derived from the fact that infant's clothing is most involved in practicality and economy rather than in trademark, beauty and popularity which are important on adult's clothing because infant's growth is so rapid that it requires to change sooner. Second, as for the correlation between the involvement in their child's clothing and the purchasing behavior according with the consumer's characteristics, they showed a significant correlation according with the consumer's characteristics like husband's profession, average monthly income and monthly expense to purchase infant's clothing. I found, therefore, economic factors like husband's profession, average monthly income and monthly expense to purchase infant's clothing were of most important. It suggests that the higher the consumer's income is, the grater it have an effect on the purchasing behavior.
This study was designed to verify the clothing satisfaction according to product type (jacket vs. pantyhose) and consumer fashion involvement. Research problems were as following; 1. To identify a clothing satisfaction according to product type. 2. To discover which of satisfaction relevant variables has the most influence on clothing satisfaction. 3. To examine the relationship between expectations and discontinuations. 4. To examine the degree of influence of product type and consumer fashion involvement on expectations. The survey was carried out in Pulsar shopping area. The 104 subjects (51 for jacket, 53 for pantyhose) participated in the final analysis. The results of analysis were as following; 1. The main path of clothing satisfaction was that the product type -1 the expectations -1 the perceived performance (-1 the discontinuation) -1 the clothing satisfaction. Those relevant variables explained 62% of clothing satisfaction variance. The most powerful determinant was the perceived performance. 2. For jacket type, the influence of perceived performance appeared to be greater than that of the discontinuation. And the consumer fashion involvement affected the expectations and the discontinuation. 3. For pantyhose type, the consumer fashion involvement divan't affect the expectations. The influence of discontinuation was relatively higher than that of jacket type.
The purpose of this study is to verify the theoretical model on the clothing satisfaction. Research problems are as following; 1. To identify a causal model on the clothing satisfaction. 2. To examine the causal model by the brand levels. 3. To examine the causal model by the consumer characteristics. The empirical study of the above research problems is carried out by the longitudinal survey. The subjects selected for the final analysis are 362 women living in Seoul and Pusan. The results of our analysis are as following; 1. The main causal course of the clothing satisfaction is that the brand level and the consumer expectation $\rightarrow$ the expectation $\rightarrow$ the perceived performance ($\rightarrow$ the disconfirmation) $\rightarrow$ the clothing satisfaction. Those relevant variables explain $70\%$ of the clothing satisfac-tion variance. Especially, the influence of the perceived performance appears to be greater than that of the disconfirmation. 2. According to our analysis, the expectation influences the clothing satisfaction indirectly through the perceived performance. Especially, the normative expectation exhibits the contrast effect on the disconfirmation, while the predictive expectation exhibits the assimilation effect on the perceived performance. 3. The clothing satisfaction model differs by the brand levels (high price brand vs. moderate price brand) and by the consumer involvement levels (high involvement vs. low involvement). The relevant variables explain $65\%$ of the clothing satisfaction variance in the high price brand, while they explain $77\%$ in the moderate price brand. In the high involvement group, the relevant variables explain $78\%$ of the clothing satisfaction variance and $60\%$ in the low involvement group. In both involvement groups, the most critical direct variable is the perceived perfor-mance. In conclusion, we find that the clothing satisfaction can be explained by three constructs, the expectation, the perceived performance and the disconfirmation. The hypothesis that the two dimensions of the expectation explain the clothing satisfaction better is empirically supported in our study. Finally, we find that the clothing satisfaction models differ between two brand levels and consumer involvement levels.
With increasing concerns about environmental issues that can result from apparel and textile disposal, the recycling methods for discarded fashion products have gained significant attention. As the influential drivers of consumer purchasing and consuming behaviors, fashion innovativeness and fashion involvement can play important roles in forming consumer attitudes toward apparel recycling. The purpose of this study was to (1) investigate consumer attitudes toward three different methods of apparel recycling including resale, reform, and donation, (2) examine the effects of fashion innovativeness and fashion involvement on consumers' apparel recycling attitudes, and (3) identify gender difference in the relationships among fashion innovativeness, fashion involvement, and recycling attitudes. Using a web-based survey, data were collected from 281 Korean consumers who were in their 20s and 30s. Overall, both male and female consumers revealed the most favorable attitudes toward apparel recycling through donation, followed by reform, and resale. The findings suggest that consumer traits, such as fashion innovativeness and fashion involvement, are important factors predicting male consumers' apparel recycling behaviors. Those male consumers who perceive fashion as important were more interested in apparel recycling than those males who put low importance on fashion. Male fashion innovators were less likely to recycle their unused and old apparel items. Further studies identifying antecedents of female consumers' attitudes toward apparel recycling are warranted.
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to identify the influence of the hospital mobile app service quality on consumer satisfaction, involvement, and re-use intention of consumers who have experience in hospital mobile app service. Methodology: The survey was conducted on 230 users. The collected data were analyzed using correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and the Process Model in Hayes(2013). Findings: (1)The usability, reliability, and medical information provision among the service quality factors of hospital mobile apps had an effect on reuse intention, and consumer satisfaction partially mediated. (2)The usability and the provision of medical information were partially mediated by the involvement, which also affected the intention to reuse. (3)Only reliability showed an age-moderated effect. In reliability and re-use intent, age was a moderated mediating effect that controlled the effect of consumer satisfaction. Practical Implications: The results of this study provide initial data of mobile app services centered on hospitals and prove the type of consumer usage. It suggests that it can be used to attract potential consumers of hospitals and strategies to increase the use of mobile apps.
This study investigates the differences in advertisement attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention based on advertising model and consumer product involvement. A total of 100 respondents in high involvement and 100 respondents in low involvement categories were exposed to the advertisements of a cosmetic brand using 4 different model types: celebrity endorser, expertise endorser, ordinary person as an endorser, and no endorser. The experiment was planned as $2{\times}4$ types including high/low involvement and 4 different model types (25 respondents each). After looking at an advertisement for 1 minute, respondents were asked to answer a survey measuring advertisement attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intension. The results of this study showed that 6 hypotheses were supported and there was a significant difference between the high involvement and low involvement group depending on the advertising models used as well as the advertisement that influence advertisement attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intension. High involvement consumers showed the most favorable advertisement attitude on an advertisement with an expertise endorser, but low involvement consumers showed the most favorable advertisement attitude on an advertisement with a celebrity endorser. High involvement consumers showed the most favorable brand attitude on an advertisement with an expertise endorser whereas low involvement consumers showed the most favorable brand attitude on an advertisement with a celebrity endorser. High involvement consumers showed the highest purchase intention on an advertisement with an expertise endorser whereas low involvement consumers showed no difference in purchase intention depending on advertisement models. This study shows that marketers should differentiate advertising strategies based on consumer involvement.
The purpose of this study was to clarify differences in consumer's advertising attitude related to type of mobile fashion advertising and level of apparel and advertising involvement groups. This study surveyed consumers who have an experience of receiving mobile fashion advertising. The subjects of this study were men and women aged 10-20 years of age, living in the metropolitan area and judgments sampling was employed. The data were obtained from 480 questionnaires. The measurement instruments were modified and made up by researcher on the basis of previous studies in the same field. Data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 11. Major statistical methods were Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, regression analysis, and descriptive statistics. The results were as follows: First, differences in effectiveness of fashion ads in both images ad and text messages ad were shown in this study. Respondents preferred images ad to left messages ad only. Also purchase intentions were more preferred by images ad. Second, the differences of consumer's advertising attitude were shown according to level of apparel and advertising involvement groups. The high apparel and ad involvement group was more likely to have a preferable attitude to the ads than the low apparel and ad involvement group. Third, consumer's purchase intentions were influenced by consumer's advertising attitude on two type's ad. The conclusion is that images ad will have great potential for fashion ads by mobile phones in the future. Also consumer attitude between other mobile advertising types must be studied in order to gain further insight into fashion advertising by mobile phone.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of service quality of apparel stores, evaluative criteria and clothing involvement on the consumer satisfaction. Data were collected from 481 women consumers living in Busan and analysed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's , cluster analysis, t-test and discriminant analysis. The results showed that consumers who highly involved symbolism of apparel were more influenced by salesperson service and store atmosphere, and were more effected by prestige/brand royalty of apparel than those who highly involved pleasure of apparel. Those who had high scores in symbolism involvement were more satisfied with consumer satisfaction in apparel buying behaviors than those who highly involved pleasure of apparel. The service quality was the influenced variable on consumer satisfaction related to apparel products than the others. Especially, salesperson service and store atmosphere in service quality were important to the satisfaction perceived by consumers in apparel buying process.
While much research on brand loyalty have been conducted until now, little has been challenged to integrate the results of previous (studies and how the brand loyalty is developed. The purpose of this study was to) suggest and test the model of clothing brand loyalty formation via consideration of all related variables simultaneously using the LISREL. The subjects were 505 male and female college graduates or higher white collar workers in their twenties and thirties living in Seoul, Korea. The data were collected by self- administered questionnaires. The results showed that consumer knowledge, product involvement, and perceived risk are positively related to information search. However, the influence of perceived risk on information search is statistically insignificant. Product involvement is also positively related to consumer satisfaction. Information search and consumer satisfaction are positively related to brand loyalty, respectively. In conclusion, consumer knowledge, product involvement, and perceived risk have positive influences on brand loyalty through the mediating variables of information search and consumer satisfaction.
