Because of the rapidly changing environment and high uncertainties, the semiconductor industry is in need of appropriate forecasting technology. In particular, both the cost and time in the test process are increasing because the process becomes complicated and there are more factors to consider. In this paper, we propose a prediction model that predicts a final "good" or "bad" on the basis of preconditioning test data generated in the semiconductor test process. The proposed prediction model solves the classification and regression problems that are often dealt with in the semiconductor process and constructs a reliable prediction model. We also implemented a prediction model through various machine learning algorithms. We compared the performance of the prediction models constructed through each algorithm. Actual data of the semiconductor test process was used for accurate prediction model construction and effective test verification.

A significant defect of space structures is the progressive collapse issue which may restrict their applicability. Force limiting devices (FLDs) have been designed to overcome this deficiency, though they don't operate efficiently in controlling the force displacement characteristics. To overcome this flaw, a new type of FLD is introduced in the present study. The "all steel accordion force limiting device" (AFLD) which consists of three main parts including cylindrical accordion solid core, tubular encasing and joint system is constructed and its behavior has been studied experimentally. To improve AFLD's behavior, Finite element analysis has been carried out by developing models in ABAQUS software. A comprehensive parametric study is done by considering the effective design parameters such as core material, accordion wave length and accordion inner diameter. From the results, it is found that AFLD can obtain a perfect control on the force-displacement characteristics as well as attaining the elastic-perfect plastic behavior. Obtaining higher levels of ultimate load carrying capacity, dissipated energy and ductility ratio can be encountered as the main privileges of this device. Ease of construction and erection are found to be further advantages of AFLD. Based on the obtained results, a procedure for predicting AFLD's behavior is offered.
In today's competitive business environment it is a necessary condition for a company to produce high-quality product for its survival and growth. That is the case in the auto-part industry as well where the international standards, ISO/TS 16949 certification, are required by customers to adopt mandatory. This study presents a successful implementation of quality management system(QMS) in a major auto-part manufacturer in Korea, utilizing SAP's QM(qualaity management) module and a mobile office system. The QMS brought the company "A" a variety of benefits such as real-time availability of product-inspection data, speedy decision-making, reduction in time required for defect-handling, ease of vertical integration of business partners in supply chain, and ease of business process standardization between headquarters and overseas subsidiaries. It is expected that the findings of this study can be used as a useful guideline for companies to consider implementing ERP-based quality management systems successfully.

Freezing and thawing cycles induce deterioration and strength degradation of concrete structures. This study presumes that a large quantity of contact-type defects develop due to the freezing and thawing cycles of concrete and evaluates the degree of defects based on a nonlinearity parameter. The nonlinearity parameter was obtained by an impact-modulation technique, one of the nonlinear ultrasonic methods. It is then used as an indicator of the degree of contact-type defects. Five types of damaged samples were fabricated according to different freezing and thawing cycles, and the occurrence of opening or cracks on a micro-scale was visually verified via scanning electron microscopy. Dynamic modulus and wave velocity were also measured for a sensitivity comparison with the obtained nonlinearity parameter. The possibility of evaluating strength degradation was also investigated based on a simple correlation of the experimental results.
Most accidents of medium-voltage cables installed in nuclear power plants result from the initial defect of internal insulators or the initial failure due to poor construction. However, as the service years of plants increase, the possibility of cable accidents is also rapidly increases. This is primarily caused by electric, mechanical, thermal, and radiation stresses. Recently, much attention is paid to the study of cable diagnoses. To date, partial discharge and Tan${\delta}$ measurements are known as reliable methods to diagnose the aging of medium-voltage cables. High frequency partial discharge measurement techniques have been widely used to diagnose cables in transmission and distribution systems. However, the on-line high frequency partial discharge technique has not been used in the nuclear power plants because of the plant shutdown risk, degraded measurement sensitivity, and application problems. In this paper, the partial discharge measurement with a portable device was tried to evaluate the integrity of the 4.16kV and 13.8kV cable lines. The test results show that the high detection sensitivity can be achieved by the high frequency partial discharge technique. The present technique is highly attractive to diagnose medium voltage cables in nuclear power plants.
The sp%pl null mutant was constructed to study the function of fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe spThp1, which is homologous to budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae THP1. Tetrad analysis showed that the spThp1 is not essential for vegetative growth. The spThp1 null mutant also showed no massive poly(A)+ RNA export defect. However, spThp1 null is genetically associated with spMex67 null. These results suggest that spThp1 is involved in mRNA export out of the nucleus.
We constructed the null mutants of fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe spSac3 gene that is homologous to budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae SAC3 involved in mRNA export out of nucleus. Tetrad analysis showed that the spSac3 is essential for vegetative growth. The spSac3 mutants harboring pREP81X-spSac3 plasmid showed poly(A)+ RNA export defect in the presence of thiamine. These results suggest that spSac3 is also involved in mRNA export from the nucleus.

This study proposes the analysis and evaluation method of time series ultrasonic signal using the chaoral post-process system for precision rate enhancement of ultrasonic pattern recognition. Chaos features extracted from time series data for analysis quantitatively weld defects For this purpose, feature extraction objectives in this study are fractal dimension, Lyapunov exponent, shape of strange attrator. Trajectory changes in the strange attractor indicated that even same type of defects carried substantial difference in chaoticity resulting from distance shifts such as nearby 0.5, 1.0 skip distance. Such difference in chaoticity enables the evaluation of unique features of defects in the weld zone. In quantitative chaos fenture extraction, feature values of 0.835 and 0.823 in the case of slag inclusion and 0.609 and 0.573 in the case of crack were suggested on the basis of fractal dimension and Lyapunov exponent. Proposed chaoral post-process system in this study can enhances precision rate of ultrasonic pattern recognition results from defect signals of weld zone, such as slag inclusion and crack.

Most of the current crack investigation work consists of visual inspection using simple measuring equipment such as crack scale. These methods involve the subjection of the inspector, which may lead to differences in the inspection results prepared by the inspector, and may lead to a large number of measurement errors. So, this study proposes an image-based crack detection method to enhance objectivity and efficiency of concrete crack investigation. In this study, YOLOv2 was used to determine the presence of cracks in the image information to ensure the speed and accuracy of detection for real-time analysis. In addition, we extracted shapes of cracks and calculated quantitatively, such as width and length using various image processing techniques. The results of this study will be used as a basis for the development of image-based facility defect diagnosis automation system.
Hydraulic units are important components of agricultural and construction machinery, and thus require high-quality castings. However, gas defects occurring inside the sand cores of the castings due to the resin used is a problem. This study therefore aimed to develop a casting simulation method that can clarify the gas defect positions. Gas defects are thought to be caused by gas generated after the molten metal fills up the mold cavity. The gas constant is the most effective factor for simulating this gas generated from sand cores. It is calculated by gas generating temperature and analysis of composition in the inert gas atmosphere modified according to the mold filling conditions of molten metal. It is assumed that gases generated from the inside of castings remain if the following formula is established. [Time of occurrence of gas generation] + [Time of occurrence of gas floating] > [Time of occurrence of casting surface solidification] The possibility of gas defects is evaluated by the time of occurrence of gas generation and gas floating calculated using the gas constant. The residual position of generated gases is decided by the closed loops indicating the final solidification location in the casting simulation. The above procedure enables us to suggest suitable casting designs with zero gas defects, without the need to repeat casting tests.
