  • Since 1960s, advanced constructions have introduced warranty contract which is warranted to quality and performance for need of owner in determined term to ensure the quality of construction. However, the interior of a country encounter another problem result from Defects Liability what indefiniteness of defects standard, excess responsibility period, social recognition of be identical fraudulent work and defects, and contract with ascendancy of owners. etc, so builders concerned more excess defects liability than the quality of construction. The purpose of this study is to analysis of warranty contract in order to solve the problem such as stated above.

  • Electric pole construction of distribution place is mainly operated by excavation work using auger crane and backhoe. Even though construction quality is affected by electric pole construction method and amount of excavation, construction is operated by workers' convenience in most of construction place. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze and compare effectiveness of electric pole quality using auger crane and backhoe when mechanized excavation through displacement experience of electric pole with ground strength.

Measuring Performance in Egyptian Construction Firms Applying Quality Management Systems

  • Egyptian construction firms (ECF) started recently to adopt quality management system (QMS) as a way to develop and improve their performance as previous studies have shown. However, considering all the firm's aspects in a competitive way is a crucial process for the ECF's culture. This research is trying to indicate the role of the QMS implementation in measuring performance (MP) through developing a model for measuring performance at the organizational level, and to explore its impact on the organizations that adopt QMS. This model is based on specific elements and their related indicators which have been derived from national approaches and models of MP. This model determines the performance level (PL) of the organization that is measured by means of a point system. Weights of the elements in the point system considered both the elements' importance in the international models and its real practice in the ECFs. This model has been validated using another questionnaire and the majority of surveyed experts agreed that the proposed model can be applied effectively.

Comparative Performance Analysis of Robot-based Automated Construction System Using a Real Scale Test Project

  • A large-scale research project to develop a robot-based automated building construction system for steel structures was successfully conducted in South Korea. This paper discusses the results of the real-scale test and the key lessons gained from the testing process. The system was assessed in terms of system productivity, construction cost, quality control, and safety improvements. While the productivity of the automated system showed an improvement of about 9.5%, the construction cost was about six times higher than that of the conventional method. The field test also indicated that the automated system requires more on-site quality control measures. However, because the system can eliminate the causes of various safety accidents, safety levels might be expected to be improved significantly. It is expected that this paper will provide knowledge and insight for developing new systems, and the results of the real-scale test might be useful for other researchers and similar research projects in the future.

  • 가설공사는 임시시설물이지만 공사기간동안 사용빈도가 높으며 공사비의 10% 내외를 차지하고 있어 체계적인 관리가 필요하다. 하지만 가설공사의 시공검측정보들은 설계도서 및 시방사항에 특별한 명시가 없는 경우가 많으며 제기준에 대한 사항도 방대하다. 이로 인해 가설공사에 대하여 품질점검을 실시할 경우 관련 점검업무들을 비효율적으로 수행하며, 인간적인 오류가 발생할 확률이 높다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가설공사에 대하여 품질점검 업무수행을 지원하고 관련 정보를 제공할 수 있는 전자작업지원시스템을 적용하고자 한다. 이를 위해 IDEF0를 활용하여 업무 단위프로세스별 정보흐름을 규명하고 EPSS기반 품질점검 업무체계를 정리하여 프로토타입을 개발한다. 이후 현장적용을 통한 검증방법으로 가설공사 품질점검 업무의 효율과 정보접근성을 향상하고자 한다.

  • 모듈러 건축 사례가 많아지면서 모듈러 건축에 관한 관심이 높아지고 적용 대상 범위가 확대되고 있다. 모듈러 건축의 장점 중 하나는 공장제작을 통한 우수한 품질의 건축물을 안정적으로 공급할 수 있는 것이다. 이를 위해, 현장 양중 및 설치 단계까지 품질관리를 위한 노력과 방법 적용이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 현재 현장 양중 및 설치 단계에서 품질유지 및 관리에 적용하고 있는 방안들의 중요도와 예방효과를 프로젝트 참여자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, 이를 IPA 방법으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 대부분의 품질 유지 및 관리 방법이 잘 적용되고 있으나, 프로젝트 참여자들간 일부 항목들에 대한 인식 차이가 있음을 확인하였고, 이에 대한 개선방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 추후 프로제트 참여자들의 현장설치단계 품질관리 인식개선을 위한 연구에 활용할 수 있다.

  • 건설 산업은 지속적인 품질관리 노력에도 불구하고 건설공사의 품질은 크게 향상되지 못하고 있다. 이러한 이유는 사용자의 요구품질수준은 높아지고 있으나 시방서의 품질수준은 환경변화를 수용하지 못하고 있으며, 품질향상노력 역시 시방기준 충족에 만족하고 있다. 이에 반해 해외 선진국들은 건설공사에 지불규정제도를 도입하여 성능기준에 따라 대가를 지급함으로써 유지보수에 대한 추가 비용을 절감하고 시공기술 향상에 큰 효과를 얻고 있다. 이에 따라 우리나라도 건설 산업의 품질향상과 건설기술개발을 유도할 수 있는 지불규정제도의 도입이 필요하지만 성능품질검사에 따른 대가 조정의 법적 논리가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문은 국내 법규체계에 맞는 지불규정제도를 도입하기 위해서 성능품질검사 결과에 따른 공사비를 조정할 수 있는 법적 논리방안을 개발하였다.

  • In this study, recently it is urgently required that recycle promotion of construction and demolition waste concrete because urban development is accelerated and redevelopment project is rapidly expanded, production quantity of construction and demolition waste concrete is being increased. On the other hand, it is urgently required that problem solution of demand and supply unbalance of fine aggregate because the sea sand is restricted by exhaustion of river sand and intensification of environment influence evaluation. Therefore, it tries to conform in time necessity, there is the objective of this study to provide the fundamental data about the re-application as the comparison and analysis the quality present condition for the recycled fine aggregate in the inside and outside of the country. At the same time it will be able to improve the quality of the recycled fine aggregate waste as investigating the physical nature and a quality present condition of the recycled fine aggregate from construction waste.

  • Strarting with Buyeong Apartment in Dongtan-2 disrict in 2017, collective complaints of residents are frequently occurring due to low quality problem such as improper construction and defects of apartment houses. Because of this, the Ministry of Land and Transport is preparing a comprehensive improvement scheme to improve the quality of Apartment Housing(AH), taking into account the continuing complaints from the residents of AH and the problem raised by the National Assembly. The basic profile of the improvement scheme is induce the tenants and experts to discover and point out defects that are repaired until the date of use inspection or due date. For this purpose, we suggested this defects management system linkaged by the preliminary inspection and quality inspection system for prospective occupants. In this context, this paper aims to suggest an effective likage method between the preliminary inspection of prospective residents and the quality inspection system implemented by local governments as an ordinance.
