A Study on the Evolutionary Process of Ddeulzip in Euisung Kim's Family at Andong Area (안동권(安東圈) 의성(義城) 김씨(金氏) 뜰집의 변천과정(變遷過程))

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the evolutionary process of Ddeulzip. The subject of this study is a clan family of Euisung Kim in Andong Area. Ddeulzip's evolutionary process in the construction and management is divided into largely three periods. The establishment and changing process of Ddeulzip for Euisung Kim's family are analyzed according to three periods called the early (15~16C), mid(17~18C) and late(19~20C). The characteristics of the early period are that they created their own ancestral building form of Ddeulzip. Those of the mid period are in their strong will not only to preserve their on ancesteral housing but also to make additional construction of Ddeulzip. And during the late period, although the construction of new Ddeulzip was started in the early stage, no more formation of Ddeulzip was made as it approached toward the late stage. And most important point is smaller construction space (gan) dan first time. The residential Ddeulzip of Euisung Kim's family created at the start of Chosun Dynasty can be regarded as an representative example that shows a typical form of housing by noble residents at the time.

Economic Evaluation on Energy System Using River Water (하천수 이용 열원시스템의 경제성 평가)

  • It has become very important for unused energy to be used for building air conditioning. Economic evaluation on energy system by using river water as a heat source, which is one of the unused energy, was carried out. The floor area of the building and the distance between heat source equipment and river was assumed $50,000m^2$ and 200 m. General heat source system using absorption chiller-heater was used for comparing to the energy saving system, and payback period method using initial cost and running cost of two systems, was used to perform economic evaluation. According to development of high capacity of water source heat pump which is appropriate for using river water, initial cost for the system has been reduced. Payback period was about 3.2 years, and this period might be shortened if nation's economic support enact.

Analysis of Flow Duration Based on SWAT-K Simulation for Construction of Natural Riparian (자연하안조성을 위한 SWAT-K 모의치 기반 유황 분석)

  • In this study, the method of estimating hydrologic information (water depth, submerged period etc.) on the proper selection of construction point and scale as well as vegetation type suggested for the design of natural riparian rehabilitation structure. Long-term comprehensive watershed model SWAT-K(Korea) was applied to this purpose. Flow duration analysis was conducted to analyze the hydrologic characteristics of Pyungchang watershed at which the 'bangtul' construction method was tested. For this purpose 20 years (1989-2008) rainfall runoff analysis was carried out. Based on the simulated daily streamflow data, flow duration curve was made to analyze the flow characteristics, and the water depth hydrograph was made to analyze the water depth distribution at the cross section. Finally, the information for the selection of proper vegetation according to the submerged period is suggested.

  • The production plan of Precast Concrete members is closely related to the assembly plan of Precast Concrete members, and is an important management factor for the process planning of Precast Concrete construction. This may cause a delay in the construction period due to manufacturing errors occurring in the production process of members and transportation errors according to the production sequence. Therefore, it is necessary to have an efficient production plan for Precast Concrete members that can produce the necessary quantity from the point of assembly of the members and supply them in a timely manner. This study is a basic study for establishing a production plan for Precast Concrete members, and the purpose of the study is to examine the factors that affect the establishment of a production plan for Precast Concrete members. In this study, the influencing factors according to the production method and conditions when establishing a production plan for Precast Concrete members were considered. In the future, correlation analysis among influencing factors will be carried out, and it is expected that it will be used as basic data for schedule management of Precast Concrete construction and derivation of construction period calculation standards.

A study on management and judgement of defect-repair in private housing construction company (민간 주택건설회사의 하자보수에 대한 인식 및 실태에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a defect-repair management and judgement of apartment housing for the private housing construction company. The objectives are : 1) to investigate how the defect-repair were managed and 2) to suggest the range, period of defect-repair and the proper managial size of housing company. Data were collected by the interviews from the heads of management departments of housing construction companies. Twenty-one companies selected were divided into three groups according to the amount of housing supply. Major result were as follows : 1) departments of defect-repair in housing construction company are divided into sub-system according to the size of housing supply. 2) the judgement of the range and period of defect-repair are extracted. They are, according to the order of their importance, constructional defect, functional defect, aesthetical defect and the defect in use.

건설현장 관리기사의 안전관리 효과에 대한 인식도

  • As the goal of enterprises is to pursuit benefits, the goal of safety management is not only preventing accidents but also promoting benefits and productivity. However, enterprises have failed to realize the necessity of safety management, partly because they didn't grasp any appropriate evidences advocating effectiveness of safety management. This study aimed to survey construction-site engineers' consciousness on safety management contributing to cost reduction, construction period and quality enhancement. The result of this study showed that constriction-site engineers recognized the ratio of direct cost to Indirect cost as 1:2. The proportion of repliers who thought that safety management is contributable to cost reduction was 35%, to construction period was 20%, and to quality enhancement was 48%. The construction sites with excellent safety accomplisments also had good work and selling amounts.

  • If we build new building after demolition of commercial building that is located in the downtown, it will be caused a social and environmental problem as wasting of resources and generating of waste. In this study, I investigated about remodel ins, this conclusion is given below. 1. Reconstruction cost is 2.1 times, and construction period is 1.4 times as much remodeling. So remodeling has an advantage. 2. For repairing and reinforcing timeworn building, we reinforced it as using carbon fiber sheet (girder, slab) and injecting method steel plate bonding Also, we tried to maintain efficiency of new building as using epoxy to protect concrete crack. 3. In the side of waste products and cost, remodeling has much more advantage than reconstruct. But demolition used construction period much. Because it had to be reused as repairing and reinforcing. And there was no difference between remodeling cost and reconstruct cost. If we develop research with enterprise.university.laboratory to exploit material and equipment and to train specialized engineer who will has a capacity to know construct repair and reinforce, it can be attribute to prevail remodeling in new construct market.

RUNOFF ESTIMATION FROM TWO MID-SIZE WATERSHEDS USING SWAT MODEL

  • SWAT model was applied to estimate daily stream flow for Yongdam and Bocheong watersheds in Korea. The model was calibrated and validated for the two watersheds and a new routine was added to analyze runoff process in paddy fields. The model efficiencies for two watersheds were 0.77 and 0.65 for the calibration period, and 0.76 and 0.50 for the validation period, respectively. It showed that water balance method simulated the runoff from paddy fields more precisely than CN method in SWAT. As results, the SWAT model is applicable to Korean watersheds, and more accurate estimation is possible using daily water balance method in paddy fields.

  • In this research, the feasibility of wireless senor for compressive strength evaluation was checked by applying on the actual apartment construction site with insulation formwork during winder period. As a result, there was no significant problem on monitoring the compressive strength of the concrete with the sensor. Thus it is considered that the suggested method can be an efficient method for the quality control at the construction site.

  • The construction technology for reactor vessel internals (RVI) modularization is one of the most important factors to be considered in reducing the construction period of nuclear power plants. For RVI modularization, gaps between the reactor vessel (RV) core-stabilizing lug and the core support barrel (CSB) snubber lug must be measured using a remote method from outside the RV. In order to measure RVI gaps remotely at nuclear power plant construction sites, certain core technologies must be developed and verified. These include a remote measurement system to measure the gaps between the RV core-stabilizing lug and the CSB snubber lug, an RVI mockup to perform the gap measurement tests, and a new procedure and schedule for RVI installation. A remote measurement system was developed previously, and a gap measurement test was completed successfully using the RVI mockup. We also developed a new procedure and schedule for RVI installation. This paper presents the new and improved installation procedure and schedule for RVI modularization. These are expected to become core technologies that will allow us to shorten the construction period by a minimum of two months compared to the existing installation procedure and schedule.
