The waterproofing systems of concrete bridge deck are installed under the complex circumstances, such as traffic loading, weather, and the condition of the deck concrete. For assuring the effectiveness of waterproofing system, the materials and the construction method and timing ought to be suitably selected with the procedures of waterproofing and the system has to ensure the economical performances. First of all, we discussed whether the quality and performance criteria for highway bridge deck are resonable or not through the investigation of domestic and foreign criteria. The basic properties of waterproofing membranes on market and the performance of waterproofing systems of concrete bridge deck have also been investigated in the view of the damages frequently reported from job site. In this way, the causes and measures of damages, the guidelines of design, construction, quality control, and maintenance, the test methods and criteria of membranes and waterproofing system, are proposed.

There are many factors that generate the early deterioration of the concrete structure. As the one of the representative factors, we can think an invasion of the water, air and so on. The water and air invade in inside void along the capillarity and they become the cause that the durability like corrosion of layer department due to freezing and thawing, inside steel frame corrosion, and so on blacks. Therefore with covering permeability covering waterproofing material of fluid condition in outer wall, intercepting the deterioration factor due to the infiltration of water from outside and for salt damage of concrete layer department, freezing damage and neutralization, it needs to improve durability of structure. This study separately examined physical and chemical specific of quality liguid siliceous of waterproofing material. Therefore as this applys the construction site, it improves the durability of concrete structure. Further this presents the application plan from the construction market against the new material.

This research has suggested a method to select pipe wall thickness by application of the value engineering to reduce the cost and quantity that are major part of construction materials. This research shows that the application of value engineering reduces the cost of piping materials by optimizing pipe wall thickness while maintaining process flow date of design pressure and design temperature. Based on this knowledge, the application of the value engineering will lead to the cost reduction and quantity reduction by effective selection of pipe wall thickness. The application of the value engineering will help the EPC companies to win a contract in the overseas plant market.

Korean government has announced declared prices of apartment reflecting market condition each year. Therefore, on that basis, apartment owners have used as basic data trading apartments and the government has been used to calculate the tax. However, the sales prices and declared prices of apartment has occurred difference depending on the region and the brand. This study has analyzed and compared regional differences in sales price of apartments. The results of this study, we have known that sales price of apartments was a big difference depending on the region and the gross area. Especially, Seoul and Gyeonggi Province are the highest. And sales price of Southeast and urban area are the highest in Seoul. In the future, it is necessary that gap analysis between sales price and declared prices of apartment. And It is needed to develop apartment index considering the region and the gross area.

The high performace water reducing agent with three-hours-fluidity-retention performance is developed for the purpose of entering into the global market belonging to extreme environment such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East. In this study, the fresh and mechanical properties of the concrete with three-hours-fluidity-retention performance are presented.

Recently the building material have been developed with the concept of controlling the indoor environment as well as the concept of emitting contaminants less. So, a lot of products with humidity control characteristics put it on the market. However, objective evaluation to these products doesn't work out. Thus consumers cannot obtain accurate information to these products. Therefore, we selected inorganic paint in the functionality materials and evaluated its humidity control characteristic in this research. We divided by four stages and evaluated this inorganic paint. The 1st and 2nd third experiments were executed on a natural condition and the fourth experiment was executed with humidity had been raised by using the humidifier.

Current domestic waterproofing market in Korea mainly uses single-ply waterproofing materials comprised of coatings or waterproof sheets and two or more-ply composite waterproofing methods. In order to evaluate these types of composite waterproofing systems, a new test equipment and method that incorporates various deterioration conditions (joint displacement, chemical exposure, water pressure etc) was developed. In a comparison testing, the results showed that flexible type materials have higher response performance towards joint displacement than the hardened material. Furthermore, the importance of securing the stability of the waterproofing method in the vulnerable over-lap joint areas of waterproofing sheets is emphasized.

As an emerging market in central Asia, Kazakhstan's housing market is witnessing increasing demands. Though Korean construction industries have attempted to take advantage of this opportunity, inadequate understanding of the local living demands have kept the industries from successfully establishing themselves in the foreign context. The goal of this research is to derive architectural planning implications regarding the living demands by investigating changes being made to the housing structure. By analyzing 11 apartment unit plans, it was found that Kazakhs had a living demand for more spacious living rooms and functional spaces. In the effort to improve the livingroom environment and usability such as enlarging the livingroom, removing the living room wall for open space or expanding the inner space facing outside is understood that the living room is considered as an important space. The fact that spaces such as dress rooms and utility rooms are being added in the housing market, reflects the demand of functional spaces. These demands are considered as the reflection of the traditional life style of nomad culture and the cold local climate. Therefore, it can be said that the apartment unit plans distributed in the Korean housing market are quite compatible with the Kazakh housing market since they offer spatious living rooms, while the latter founding implies the changes that ought to be made for a successful establishment in the foreign market.

This study aims to discuss the characteristics on marketing distribution of landscape materials after consideration in the side of cognition on the present condition of marketing which is important factors for analysis in understanding the market of landscape materials. To do this, the investigation of marketing distribution are to collect data refer to purchases and sales reports and questionnaires, these results are used to analyzed the operative factor of forming market structure and problematic, improvement spot of marketing distribution. The periodic range of this paper is limited on 609 landscape materials and examination was performed from 21.Feb. to 15.Mar, in 2002. The results of the whole prices trends and marketing distribution survey can be summarized as follows : 1. Differences of cognition on marketing distribution among four group toward problematic spot on product and marketing of landscape materials was summarized as follows : 1) Group of landscape design : Interest of government, Various articles. 2) Group of landscape construction : Communication of marketing information, Role of intermediary ecc. 3) Group of landscape materials and cooperation between company and university : Interest of government ecc, 2. Differences of cognition on marketing distribution among four group toward improvemental spot on product and marketing of landscape materials was summarized as follows : 1) Group of landscape design and construction : Network of marketing distribution on landscape materials, Criterion of articles, Quality adiministration through establishment of sale level ecc.. 2) Group of landscape materials : Employment of specialist education program ecc.. 3) Group of cooperation between company and university : Conscious reformation of comsumer ecc.
