  • As virtual reality drew attention, VR room escape games were based on the most popular and successful VR content. This study was based on the survey results of citizens who experienced actual VR room escape and field-type room escape. It clarifies the parts that can be implemented and the parts that have technical limitations. And the factors that can increase the immersion of VR room escape games are analyzed. It is hoped that the significance of the research can contribute to the production of more advanced VR escape games and further VR contents.

  • With 106 detached houses where the aged people live alone, this study was conducted to perform a location survey of their residential environment. The result of this study is summarized as follows: While the surveyed houses' safety, sanitation and convenience appeared to be positive, with respect to the conditions of location, 73% of the surveyed houses did not meet the requirement for comfort. The average area of each space indicated that the bedding room was 12.05$m^2$, the living room 14.71$m^2$, the kitchen 9.06$m^2$, the bathing room 4.05$m^2$, and the rest room 2.59$m^2$. Then, 93.3% of the bedding rooms had the doorsill. Also, 97.2% of the surveyed houses had retrievable space. The form of their living room door showed a hinged door(54.5%) and a sliding door(45.5%) which were similar with each other. The finished material was that wood accounted for 42.6% which was highest. The cooking table form of kitchen was mainly "\ulcorner"-shaped(49.5%) and "\ulcorner"-shaped(48.5%) which were highest, and their average height appeared to be 815mm. The fuel used for kitchen was that gas accounted for 93.3%, while 95.2% of the surveyed houses was not equipped with any gas-warning device. 75.5% had an integrated type of bath room and toilet. In addition, the stepped difference between the bath room and other space was that 70.8% had the difference, but they had no a satisfactory sliding-prevention device(Not for 91.6%) or heating system(Not for 92.9%).stem(Not for 92.9%).

  • International Convention Center Jeju(ICCJ) was planed and built for accommodating a variety of conventional and exhibitional activities. For a better flexibility of operation, almost all rooms in ICCJ are designed to be subdivided Into a couple of small rooms with installation of movable partition walls. Architectural and acoustical design should be deliberatively and cooperatively undertaken to cope with such a complex condition. Conference hall, the largest room in ICCJ, has a capacity of 5000 seats who:1 used as a whole. It could be divided into 3 halls, one with 2000 pre-installed seats on slanted floor, up/down removable stage and its settings above, and the other 2 flat rooms with no seats installed. A devided hall with pre-installed seats and stage is designed for a multi-use auditorium. Almost all surfaces except ceilings adjacent to the stage are sound absorptively treated, in regard to extensive use of sound reinforcement systems. Its reverberation time 1.65 sec without audience, which is roughly correspond to 1.50 sec with fully occupied audience. When there is a need for a larger room, all the partition wail Is removed and the hall could be used as a whole. Exhibition hall is located in the first floor of ICCJ. Absorption and softness are needed for the hat 1 because exhibition behavior has something noisy features. Perforated MDF panels with porous materials and air space in the back groundare adopted for the walls. There are one large, two medium, and several small convention rooms in ICJJ. The room are also acoustically designed for maximum flexibility with no defects soundwisely.

  • This study has been conducted to quantify the emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in a conference room. The carpet has emitted a variety of VOCs, but in this study, 2 VOCs compounds have been considered: Ethylbenzene and 1, 2, 3-Trimethylbenzene. In this study, a three dimensional numerical analysis has been carried out to investigate the emission and behavior characteristics of Ethylbenzene and 1, 2, 3-Trimethylbenzene emitted from the carpet in the conference room. The mass diffusion coefficient and the initial concentrations of VOCs in the carpet have been obtained from experimental data with non-linear regression. It has been found that the concentrations and emission factors of VOCs have exponentially decayed with time and that the concentration gradients and emission factors of VOCs are different from each other for various components. This study may supply fundamental understandings for the emission and behavior characteristics of VOCs.

  • The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze the indoor thermal conditions of a 8,500GT class chemical carrier which was launched on July 2007. The measurement was operated from 4th June to 4th June 2007, just before handing over to Owner. Followings are the results of this study. (1)The temperature variations of supply air were related to the outdoor temperature variations, but the humidity was stable at $65{\sim}80%$. (2)The temperature variations at the representative position of bridge, restaurant, crew's cabin showed gentle slopes. but that of conference room was very steepy. The humidities of bridge and restaurant were unstable because of outdoor-contact and cooking, respectively. (4)The temperature and humidity of ECR(Engine Control Room) which was designed to supply heating and cooling by PAC(Package Air Conditioner) were directly affected by the operating conditions of PAC. (5)The measured supply air volume from dampers of bridge, crew's cabin and conference room were satisfied with the design supply air volume. (5)For the improvement of the indoor thermal conditions, the temperature of crew's cabin and restaurant and the humidity of conference room, and the temperature and humidity of bridge should be controlled, respectively.

  • In this paper, we developed the computer room environments and infrastructure management systems to operate various networking devices and the infrastructure in the room, stably. The developed systems are composed of the computer room environment management system and the computing infrastructure management system. The computer room environment management system performs the role which the temperature and humidity detection node periodically detects the temperature and humidity and transmits the information to the remote intelligent server. The computing infrastructure management system enables the computer room's manager to check the information and maintenance history of the computing devices with a smart device supporting NFC(Near Field Communication).

  • The electric propulsion development is underway to minimize pollutants and greenhous gas emissions during the operation of ships / offshore installation vessels. The importance of the use and efficient management of batteries, which is an ESS system in ships / offshore installation vessels, is increasing. Generally, in ESS where battery is applied, cell balancing and life span are monitored in real time by BMS. Ships / offshore installation vessel are equipped with several ESS rooms, and ESS rooms with ESS systems of the same specification are being constructed due to the recent demand for electric propulsion development. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to additionally predict and diagnose battery pack and cell balancing failures by comparing BMS data for each rooms. The proposed algorithm compares the BMS data of each ESS Room according to the environmental change of the ship / offshore installation vessels, measures accurate status information, and reliably monitors it to prevent accidents in advance.

  • The directivity of the sound pressure increases the sensitivity of the incoming sound from specific directions. The directivity measurement of the sound pressure is usually done in an anechoic room using a sloping motor. In this paper a replaceable anechoic chamber was designed for the acoustic directivity pattern measurement. Electrical equipments were interfaced with a PC for experiment automatic control. Some comparative results are shown in the result.

  • Sound absorption characteristics of audience seating is very important when design and simulate room acoustics of concert halls or multi-purpose auditoriums. Sound absorption characteristics of audience seats were measured in reverberation chamber by varying the row to row spacing and number of audiences. By the increment of the row to row spacing, sound absorption characteristics in mid frequency band was increased. Also, sound absorption was proportionated to the number of audience.
