  • Purpose: The purpose of this paper are to propose a strategic map for hotel industry through analyzing the relationship between service resource, operational capabilities, and performance. Methods: A phone survey was conducted among Korean hotels, and 102 data sets were collected. Measurement items are assessed using both cognitive and objective scales. Results: As results, 'superior group', which is superior in both physical resources and human resources, is excellent in all capabilities and also in room occupancy rate. On the other hands, 'inferior group', which is inferior in both physical resources and human resources, shows lower achievements is in most areas except speed. In addition, physical superior group is better than human superior group in most capabilities except speed, but human superior group shows better results than physical superior group in both room occupancy rate and customer satisfaction. Conclusions: Through the empirical analysis, the conclusions attained are as follows; First, human resources affect customer satisfaction more directly that physical resources. Second, the balancing between physical resources and human resources has an importance to improve operational capabilities.

  • Purpose - Purpose of paper is to clarify this PPP((Public Private Partnerships)'s essence and advantages as well as disadvantages, and then it will take it out some conclusions and implication together. To do so, PPP should be examined carefully and then landlord port will be investigated in view of PPP, then, it will give some implications whether or not PPP is successful to apply more port in concern. Research Design, data, and methodology - The methodology that I take is to look into both PPPs and then to look intp landlord port in view of PPP. By doing so, it can be more understandable to PPP in port industry. Results - It can be found that landlord port system is more valuable and applicable instrument to adapt for port competitiveness and productivity, which leads to efficient port management. Conclusions - Landlord port system is an alternative instrument to be apply to port management in terms of PPP, and it has been justified that many worldclass port has taken this landlord port management system.

  • The optimized HVAC system design in tall buildings enable owners to save unnecessary energy consumption and residents to have comfort environments. The purpose of this study is to develop design process for optimized HVAC system design in tall buildings. As basic researches, literature researches and case studies of HVAC system design in tall buildings were performed. Survey was processed among expert in the field and key considerations on HVAC system design were drew as conclusions. With these conclusions, studies were performed on effects of wind velocity, outdoor air temperature, and solar radiation that are main factors of load calculation in tall buildings. Finally, air-tightness and stack effect were analyzed and estimated by literature studies, field measurements and computer simulations.

  • When low sliding velocities in the boundary lubrication range are operating, irregular movements frequently occur which are a result of the stick-slip phenomenon. Such slide motions are undesirable in precision machine tools, particularly with feed back systems used in numerical and adaptive control machine tools. Accordingly, this paper reports analytical and experimental studies in the stick-slip characteristic of machine tool feeding system. The main conclusions of this study are as follows; The tendency towards stick-slip effects may be reduced by; 1). Reducing the drop in friction coefficient in the Stribeck curve(on the rising part of the friction characteristic at higher sliding speeds, the system is stable all the time) 2). Reducing the transition velocity by the use of a higher viscosity lubricating oil. 3). Increasing the stiffness(Damping)and reducing normal load(Sliding mass) Therefore, the Critical velocity is decided from the above conclusions and in designing of machine tool, feed rates(sliding velocity)must be design the more than critical velocity.

  • After analyzing the datas to propose the rightful recognition and research direction for the long used charcoal, the following conclusions are obtained. 1. The 'soot' is pure Korean which has the meaning of 'fresh power' and is translated in English as charcoal which is composition of china and cool meaning good. 2. The main dispositions of the charcoal are 85% of carbon, 10% of water, 4% of minerals and 2% of essential so that the understanding of properties and effects of carbon are essential. 3. It is usually appeared that there are purifying and detoxifying effects of the woods and the room in practical use of charcoal. 4. In everyday life, it removes the odors, regulates the humidity and prevents the decaying. 5. It is often used medically for activating liver fuctions, regulating digestive fuctions and for diseases with inflammations, fever or bleeding. 6. The charcoal is used in medical treatment internally as well as externally. Above conclusions shows that the objective research is needed for clinical use considering the physical and chemical properties in future.

  • This research paper examines the Navy of the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) to determine if the two navies can cooperate to enhance the security of Northeast Asia. This paper reviews the advantages and limitations of naval cooperation between the ROK and Japan, describes the threats to both, and evaluates domestic, regional and international factors to answer the questions : Is naval cooperation possible? How would might it take? what secunity burdens might the ROK Nayy and the JMSDF be reasonably expected to assume from the United States? Paper conclusions are based on the studies within the framework of today's realities. Consequently, the conclusions may seem undramatic. However, they are based on not what could happen if all parties agreed to accept radical change, but rather upon the assumption that all parties will want to change the least for the greatest benefit.

This conclusions driveed into the 'Sam-In-Guk-Il-Beung-Jung-Bang-Ron' written by the Jin, Moo-Taek. 1. Chil-jung(seven modes of emotions), Gi-Yeuk(abnomal risting of vital energy), Yang-hue(deficiency of Yang) are the chief endogenouse factor of chest pain. 2. Han-sa(cold-evil), Euk-Em(six-evils), Pung-Han-Yeol-Sa (wind-cold-heat-evils) are the exogenous factor of chest pain, and Han-Sa(cold-evil) is chief factor among them. 3. Dam-Em(phlegm-retention disease), Jeong-Sik(undigestive meal), Hoi-Chung(ascaris), Sa-Heol(blood stasis) are the chief pathologic factor neither endogenous nor exogenous of chest pain.

  • The purpose of this paper is to draw a conclusion on the impact of intermediate software on enterprise results. In this paper, product innovation and product reliability are especially used as analytical factors. An exploratory analytical study is conducted on the competitiveness of intermediate software, in the hope of gaining a new understanding of the competitiveness of intermediate software. Data are analyzed using such quantitative analytical tools as SPSS and AMOS. Using reliability analysis, validity analysis and structural equation model analysis, the final results are achieved. According to the analysis results, we can draw the following conclusions: the competitiveness of intermediate software has a positive impact on the innovation of software products. The competitiveness of intermediate software doesn't have a positive impact on the reliability of software products. Product innovation has a positive impact on enterprise results. Product reliability also has a positive impact on enterprise results. By analyzing the conclusions, we can make certain suggestions and draw implications on the competitiveness of China's software industry.
