  • 0 and 1, two digits are principle and formality of digital media. Those principle and formality dwell in new media paradigm. They are founded on emergence of new types of space. As describing the relationship originating from the concepts of digital media paradigm and space and discussing their characteristics, this paper presents the grounds for a theoretical argument for formation of new space. The concept of virtuality which mimics and represents the real, non-linearity which resembles human system of thinking and sensing, and interactivity connecting the communication theory of human and machine, their properties form the important basis for emergence of a new aspect of space. The concepts of digital media paradigm divide a type of space into two properties. The first is a inner modality. The second is outer modality. Dynamic space implicates inner modality that humans internally recognize the sense of space through their body and sensing organs. Space is not sensed but sensing. Space has an organic nature through object's interaction. Space has an outer nature that is physically variable. Finally, space has properties of modularity that changes structure of space. For empirical basis of an argument, new media art that has architectural form and those spatial characteristics were compared and analyzed. This conceptual discussion for space which the formality of digital media is applied will be an important foundation for create space design.

  • School health aims to guide and manage growing students in order to grow healthily through the formation of healthy life habits, the self-control health management guide and the making of pleasant school health environments. The purpose of this study is to clarify the concepts, to draw common features, and develop a new approach for school health diagnosis through literature review. School health diagnosis is defined as the identification of actual and potential health problems in school health problems in population. It is a label that both describes a situation and implies an ethiology. Although it is widely acknowledeged that school health diagnosis is an essential precursor to school health nursing intervention, it still has ambiguous definition, unmeasurable goal. and a tenuous structure. In addition, the eclipse of school health diagnosis theory in the literature is so complete that some texts even exclude diagnosis as a stage of the nursing theory has not developed sufficiently to guide school nurses in the application of the nursing diagnosis with in the school. The Neuman's systems model provided the conceptual framework for this study and offered school health nursing the sort of clear structure that will assist them to clarify their work to nursing colleges and also to the client group with whom they will work. The Neuman model is fully congruent with today's health care philosophy by taking a wellness-orientaed approach, involving clients III their health care with prevention as intervention.

  • Innovative and nondestructive characterization techniques have been developed to locate and quantify nonaqueous phase liquids (NAPLs) in the vadose and saturated zones in the subsurface environment. One such technique is the partitioning interwell tracer test (PITT). The PITT is a simultaneous displacement of partitioning and non-partitioning tracers through a subsurface formation. Partitioning tracers will partition into the NAPL during their transport through NAPL-contaminated formations. Mean travel times of partitioning and non-partitioning tracers are used to estimate the quantity of NAPL encountered by the displaced tracer pulse. Travel times are directly proportional to the partitioning coefficient and the volume of NAPL contacted in the subsurface environment. This paper discusses the conceptual background, design and implementation of PITTs. • The purpose of this study is to examine a unique characteristic of the colors of the costumes in Korean basic culture in the aim of seeking the characteristics and the conceptual meanings of colors found in the majority’s culture. The scope of the basic culture was divided into folk belief, folk game and folk play. Within these limits, the colors of the dress, accessories, instruments were extracted by comparing with the naked eye in NCS Color System. For the analysis of hue and tone, the secondary dimensional analysis using NCS color system and the three-dimensional analysis using the software, COLOR 3D Version 2.0, were done. The result of this investigation is that the colors of the costume in the Korean basic culture are white, gray and black of achromatic color and yellow, yellowish red and purplish blue. This confirms that the colors based on Five-elements color are becoming the basis too basic culture. And Arche-pattern, which is a characteristic commonly found in the Korean traditional society, was shown as a characteristic of color. The colors of the costumes in Korean basic culture are uniquely adopted by the Korean civilians according to their religious and philosophical living standard. This study is meaningful in seeking a root for the formation of their unique color culture.

  • Purpose: In these days, the concept of health literacy becomes important because it is essential to have a clear grasp of patients' basic ability to understand health-care information. Therefore, we intended to discover attributes, antecedents and consequences of health literacy through contextual analysis. Method: Following Rodgers' evolutionary concept analysis, we did a literary review. The databases KMBase, KoreaMed, Kstudy, NDSL, and RISS were searched for articles. Among published literature about health literacy, twenty articles which satisfied the inclusion criteria were chosen. Results: Health literacy consists of three attributes: information seeking, information understanding, and information utilizing. Furthermore antecedents are as follows: health status, health belief, socioeconomic status, and information quality. Finally, we were able to explain the consequences of health literacy by showing improvement of self-care and interaction, and a decrease of social costs. Conclusion: We expect this study to guide the direction of future studies, and as a concept analysis that examines the conceptual attributes in the context of health literacy. Based on the result of this study, the design of a standardized tool and the program of health literacy promotion education need to be developed.

  • Today's technology enables consumers to trade millions of dollars, conduct online banking, access entertainment, and do countless other activities at the click of a button. Online social networks (OSN) have become a cultural phenomenon that allows for individualistic consumerism. Consumers are increasingly utilizing OSN to share ideas, build communities, and contact fellow consumers who are similar to themselves. The relevance of online communities to the music is immense especially because musicians are now using social media to build global audiences. Not only is information about music and performance disseminated online, but musical commodities are sold and traded online. Online music communities allow consumers to elect and create new identities online through the purchase of subcultural commodities. Given the growing economic importance of online music communities it is important to get a holistic view of subcultural communities online. This study utilized content analysis of online music community websites using the Netnography methodology as developed by Kozinet for data collection to analyze consumers' purchasing and consumption behavior of subcultural commodities online as related to the formation of subcultural identities. Findings showed that subcultural items are predominantly purchased online, especially digital music, and there is a need for more custom craft items. The authors presented a new conceptual taxonomy of online subcultural consumer classifications based on online behavior patterns.

  • Purpose: Virtual worlds are emerging in health care as an innovative way of helping clients take responsibility for and promote their own care. Yet, the concept of health promotion education in this environment has not been elucidated. Therefore, we undertook a concept analysis to discover the underlying attributes and contextual basis to generate a conceptual understanding of virtual worlds in the context of health promotion education. Methods: Using Rodgers' evolutionary view of concept development, we analyzed literature on virtual worlds that describe their use to discover critical attributes, antecedents, and consequences of this phenomenon. Eleven studies matching inclusion criteria were reviewed. Results: Analysis of the literature highlighted three areas of important domains: user, simulated environment, and education. This concept analysis extends our understanding of a virtual world for health promotion education. Conclusion: This study may help anticipate future trends in the use of virtual worlds in the context of health promotion education, serving as a stepping-stone for further research on this aspect of the study. The next step should focus on the development of an evaluation tool that can measure the factors identified in this analysis to determine their effects on outcomes and environmental interactions.
