이동 중인 구조보트 내에서 수기가슴압박과 기계가슴압박의 질 비교 (A comparison of the quality of manual and mechanical chest compressions in a moving rescue boat)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to determine effective chest compression methods that could be used when performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation in rocking boats. Methods: Tests were conducted for four minutes using manual and mechanical chest compressions on two mannequins, placed in boats, and moving at a speed of 35km/hours on calm sea surfaces with wave heights of 0.5m and wind speeds of 2-3m/s (testing for two minutes, followed by rest, then a second round of testing for two minutes). To compare the quality of the chest compressions, data were analyzed using mannequins (Resusci Anne Q-CPR, Laerdal, Norway) and then statistically processed. Results: When chest compressions were administered in the moving rescue boat, an accuracy analysis showed that the pressure speed of the hand and mechanical techniques were normal, h owever, the pressure depth accuracies were 49.04% for manual techniques and 0% for mechanical techniques. The relaxation accuracies during compressions were 2.07% for manual techniques and 95.4% for mechanical techniques. Conclusion: When administering chest compressions in rocking rescue boats, mechanical rather than manual techniques should be preferentially considered.

Effect of Snubber-Array on Variation of Pressure Characteristics in Reciprocating Hydrogen Compression

  • Hydrogen energy is becoming popular day by day due to its renewability and pollutaaant free natures. Hydrogen gas pressure which is after passing through reciprocating compressor part has high pulsation wave form. A unit, snubber is used as compressor components to reduce the harmful pulsation waveform and to remove the impurities in the hydrogen gas. An experiment has been conducted to investigate the pulsation reduction performance of different arrangement of snubber i.e. snubber array used in reciprocating compression system. Analyzing the snubber array experimental data, it is found that the pressure fluctuations are reduced from 90.1977% ~ 92.6336% with pressure loss 1.5013% ~ 4.9034% for compressor operation at different speed which ensure the good performance of snubber-array as pulsation damper in hydrogen compressing system.

  • 시공시 콘크리트의 하중은 받는 데크플레이트의 지지능력은 압축부분 플랜지에서 좌굴에 의해서 결정되어 진다. 얇은 철판 데크플레이트의 압축플랜지에서 중간스티프너의 크기와 위치는 플랜지의 좌굴모드에 강한 영향을 발휘한다. 높은 강도 철판으로 구성된 시험체 단면은 다양한 좌굴모드를 유도하기 위하여 작은 것에서 큰 스티프너에 걸쳐 압축플랜지에 만들어 졌다. ABAQUS 프로그램 해석은 좌굴모드를 지배하는 중간스티프너의 효과를 결정하기 위하여 수행되었다. 각 실험체 시리즈는 단순보로 순수휨이 적용되었다. 실험결과 소성파괴 메카니즘을 통하여 극한파괴에 앞서 다양한 좌굴형상이 나타났다. 실험으로 결정되어진 좌굴응력은 ABAQUS해석으로 얻어진 해석결과와 각국의 규준값들과 비교하기 위하여 사용되었다.

Analytical Performance Evaluation of Superdetonative Mode Ram Accelerator; Considering Influence of Aluminum Vapor

  • In this study, one-dimensional analysis under the assumption of an inviscid flow was conducted for the experiment initiated by the French-German Research Institute of Saint-Louis (ISL) in order to investigate the energy effect of aluminum combustion. Previous theoretical analysis based on the assumptions of isentropic compression and a constant specific heat derived by ISL claimed that the experiment was not affected by the heat of aluminum combustion. However, rigorous analysis in present investigation that considered the average properties behind the shock wave compression and temperature-dependent specific heat showed that the S225 experiment was partially affected by the aluminum combustion. The increase in heat due to aluminum combustion was estimated from the rigorous analysis.

  • During a last decade, detonative combustion is promising combustion mechanism of high-speed propulsion systems, but is more rigorously considered in these days as a game-changer for the improvement of thermodynamic efficiency of propulsion and power generation systems. Regardless of the skepticism about the pressure loss associated with the strong shock waves, it is shown that the additional compression by the strong shock wave exhibits increased thermodynamics efficiency that is not achievable by conventional compression systems. Present talk will give an introduction to the concepts and the recent activities on the pressure gain combustors (PGC) researches based on detonation phenomena.

콘크리트 압축강도 측정법과 공시체 내 철근이 압축강도 측정에 미치는 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Compressive Strength of Reinforcing Bars in Concrete Specimens and Compressive Strength Measurement Methods)

  • 콘크리트 구조물의 안전성 검토에서 콘크리트 압축강도 측정은 매우 중요한 요소이다. 콘크리트 압축강도 측정법에는 파괴방법과 비파괴방법이 있다. 파괴방법은 일축압축파괴방법이 있으며, 비파괴방법에는 반발경도법과 탄성파 측정법이 있다. 본 연구에는 측정법의 종류와 콘크리트 내부의 철근영향에 따른 콘크리트의의 압축강도 영향을 분석하였다. 공시체의 종류와 상관없이 3가지 실험 방법 중 탄성파 측정법에 의한 평균 압축강도가 다른 방법에 의한 평균 압축강도보다 크게 나타났다. 공시체 종류가 같을 경우 탄성파 측정법이 다른 측정법들에 비해 측정값들의 표준편차가 작게 나타났으므로 탄성파 측정법이 다른 두 측정법에 비해 측정값의 변동이 크지 않음을 알 수 있다. 각 공시체별 실험 방법에 따른 평균압축강도를 압축파괴 실험법의 평균압축 강도를 기준으로 비교하면 탄성파 측정법, 압축파괴실험, 반발경도법 순으로 평균압축강도가 높게 측정되었다. 콘크리트의 압축강도 측정방법과 콘크리트 내부 철근 유무에 따라 콘크리트 압축강도 측정값이 상이하므로 추후 피복두께의 영향 등을 고려한 연구가 필요할 것이다.

  • 본 연구에서는 상호작용상류의 난류경계층에 분출을 가해서 경계층을 불안정 화시키고 이 불안정화된 난류경계층과 사각입사충격파와의 상호작용을 실험적으로 연 구하였다. Squire-Smith와는 다른 실험모형의 새로운 형태를 제시하였고 상호작용영 역에서 경계층의 압력분포 및 속도분포를 측정해서 충격파반사의 형태를 밝혔다.

  • The particle velocity in superfluid helium (He II) induced by a gas dynamic shock wave impingement onto He II free surface were studied experimentally by using Schlieren visualization method with an ultra-high speed video camera. It is found form visualization results that a dark zone in the immediate vicinity of the vapor-He II interface region is formed because of the high compressibility of He II and is developed toward bulk He II with the flowing-down speed of the vapor-He II interface. The mass velocity behind a transmitted compression shock wave that is equal to the contraction speed of He II amounts to 10 m/sec, the Reynolds number of which reaches $10^{7}$. This fact suggests that the superfluid shock tube facility can be applied to an experimental facility for high Reynols number flow as an alternative to the superfluid wind tunnel.

  • The linear compressor have been widely used for pressure wave generation in the Stirling cryocooler and Stirling type pulse tube cryocooler for tactical purpose. The linear compressor has small and compact structure, and long life due to having non-contact sealing mechanism. and the pressure drop through regenerator was ver important role in the motion of displacer in the expander of the Stirling cryocooler. In this study, the characteristic of the linear compressor and the pressure drop through regenerator in the expander was experimentally investigated. The results show the resonance of the compressor is very important to get maximum performance. and the gas spring force in the compression space of the compressor has effect on the characteristic of reonance. and the results show the pressure drop through regenerator is very small than operating pressure change.

Estimation of Hysteretic Interfacial Stiffness of Contact Surfaces

  • This paper proposes an ultrasonic method for measurement of linear and hysteretic interfacial stiffness of contacting surfaces between two steel plates subjected to nominal compression pressure. Interfacial stiffness was evaluated by the reflection and transmission coefficients obtained from three consecutive reflection waves from solid-solid surface using the shear wave. A nonlinear hysteretic spring model was proposed and used to define the quantitative interfacial stiffness of interface with the reflection and transmission coefficients. Acoustic model for 1-D wave propagation across interfaces is developed to formulate the reflection and transmission waves and to determine the linear and nonlinear hysteretic interfacial stiffness. Two identical plates are put together to form a contacting surface and pressed by bolt-fastening to measure interfacial stiffness at different states of contact pressure. It is found from experiment that the linear and hysteretic interfacial stiffness are successfully determined by the reflection and transmission coefficient at the contact surfaces through ultrasonic pulse-echo measurement.
