  • A multi-component force sensor has been developed to measure force and moment components in high-speed flow media for submerged models. The size of the test model is determined based on the Reynolds number of the model at the test speed and expected blockage effect. A two-component force sensor unit has been created by assembling pairs of column elements arranged symmetrically under an eccentric load. The six-component force sensor is constructed with symmetric arrangements of two-component force sensor units in a rectangular plane. The signals generated from the strain gauges attached to the surface of the elements can be converted into force signals. The performance of the waterproof six-component force sensor has been evaluated through calibration. A simplified interference decomposition procedure has been introduced to increase the accuracy of measurement.

  • The study proposes component models in developing an efficient platform for internet-based structural analysis. Since a structural analysis requires an operation of complicated algorithms, a client-side computation using X-Internet is preferred to a server-side computation to provide a flexible service for multi-users. To compete with the user-friendly interfaces of available commercial analysis programs, a window-based interface using Smart Client was applied. Also, component-based programming was performed with the considerations on reusability and expandability so that active Preparation for future change or modification could be feasible. The components describe the whole system by subdivision and simplification. In the relationship between upper-and lower-level components and also in the relationship between components and objects, a unified interface was used to clearly classify the connection between the libraries. By performing data communication between different types of platforms using XML WebService, a conner-stone of data transfer is proposed for the future integrated CAE. The efficiency of the developed platform has been examined through a sample structural analysis and design on planar truss structures.

  • The intelligent agriculture monitoring is based on the perception and analysis of environmental data, which enables the monitoring of the production environment and the control of environmental regulation equipment. As the scale of the application continues to expand, a large amount of data will be generated from the perception layer and uploaded to the cloud service, which will bring challenges of insufficient bandwidth and processing capacity. A fog-based offline and real-time hybrid data analysis architecture was proposed in this paper, which combines offline and real-time analysis to enable real-time data processing on resource-constrained IoT devices. Furthermore, we propose a data process-ing algorithm based on the incremental principal component analysis, which can achieve data dimensionality reduction and update of principal components. We also introduce the concept of Squared Prediction Error (SPE) value and realize the abnormal detection of data through the combination of SPE value and data fusion algorithm. To ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the algorithm, we design a regular-SPE hybrid model update strategy, which enables the principal component to be updated on demand when data anomalies are found. In addition, this strategy can significantly reduce resource consumption growth due to the data analysis architectures. Practical datasets-based simulations have confirmed that the proposed algorithm can perform data fusion and exception processing in real-time on resource-constrained devices; Our model update strategy can reduce the overall system resource consumption while ensuring the accuracy of the algorithm.

  • The combat system has a different purpose depending on its mission. All functions of combat system are important, but, the components that related main functions for the purpose, are important than other components. Also, the hit probability of component is proportional to area of the component. Therefore, when we analyze vulnerability of combat system, to consider the importance and hit probability of component. Thus to improve reliability of combat system, we apply the analyzed result to design combat system. In this paper, we develop a vulnerability analysis program based on criticality which calculated from importance and hit probability of components by related researches. To do this, we propose a methodology to apply criticality of components, and define classification rates for calculating criticality based on FMECA. Additionally, we propose a technique of vulnerability analysis using criticality of components, and apply the proposed technique to develop and test the vulnerability analysis program for automation of analysis.

  • Human tracking is a requirement for the advanced human-computer interface (HCI), This paper proposes a method which uses a component-based human model, detects body parts, estimates human postures, and animates an avatar, Each body part consists of color, connection, and location information and it matches to a corresponding component of the human model. For human tracking, the 2D information of human posture is used for body tracking by computing similarities between frames, The depth information is decided by a relative location between components and is transferred to a moving direction to build a 2-1/2D human model. While each body part is modelled by posture and directions, the corresponding component of a 3D avatar is rotated in 3D using the information transferred from the human model. We achieved 90% tracking rate of a test video containing a variety of postures and the rate increased as the proposed system processed more frames.

  • This study is based on the evaluation of a single component injection type adhesive repair material and a new 2 component type used in leakage of underground concrete structures. The studies showed that based on different mix ratio of the 2 component type adhesive sealant comprised of an asphalt main and latex mixture agent the viscosity of the material compound differed significantly. Based on a permeability testing, injection and economic efficiency, and performance, the appropriate ratio was determined to be 6:1 and was proceeded to the KS F 4935 evaluation method. The 2 component type adhesive sealant uses a static mixer and a cartridge type container for the injection procedure and was able to satisfy the evaluation criteria outlined in the KS F 4935 standard.

  • SCA is proposed in order to operate various wireless systems in the single terminal platforms and uses the CORBA middleware to guarantee the platform-independence for software components. As the reconstruction demand is expanded in the software component to the logic level to many reasons, CORBA has to guarantee the independence of hardware on board. Accordingly. the characteristics depending on hardware board is ed. And the IDL-based interworking interface about the component has to be provided. In this paper, we described about local transport for guaranteeing the independency on the hardware board and the HAO Core for providing a coupling by the CORBA IDL identically with the other component. HAO produced at 2,900 logic cell size in average and provided the performance of the tens times than the software component. Through the use of HAO in the SCA-based development environment, it was naturally expanded to not only the software area but also the FPGA logic.

  • In this study, we considered the algorithm of Legendre and Legendre (2012), which derives canonical correspondence analysis from weighted principal component analysis. And, it was proved that the canonical correspondence analysis based on the weighted principal component analysis is exactly the same as Ter Braak's (1986) canonical correspondence analysis based on the Gaussian response model. Ter Braak (1986)'s canonical correspondence analysis derived from a Gaussian response curve that can explain the abundance of species in ecology well uses the basic assumption of the species packing model and then conducts generalized linear model and canonical correlation analysis. It is derived by way of binding. However, the algorithm of Legendre and Legendre (2012) is calculated in a method quite similar to Benzecri's correspondence analysis without such assumptions. Therefore, if canonical correspondence analysis based on weighted principal component analysis is used, it is possible to have some flexibility in using the results. In conclusion, this study shows that the two methods starting from different models have the same site scores, species scores, and species-environment correlations.

  • Characteristic of decommissioning target facility investigate and understand is very important. because radioactive materials occurs in the decommissioning and dismantling, so it is difficult to use a general dismantling method. Decommissioning nuclear facilities, the characteristics of the target of research to predict the amount of decommissioning waste, decommission projects costing is largely utilized. For this purpose, we developed DEFACS(Decommissioning Facility Characterization DB System) that manage characteristic of decommissioning target facility. But nuclear facility decommissioning takes long time. so we inevitably developed system during decommissioning works, it occurs many system changes. For this reason, it is difficult to apply general development process, so we take CBD process that divide CD(Component Development) and CBSD(Component Based Software Development) for handling change of requirement. it make Component of the overall system for changes to minimize changes by strengthening the independence of components and processes due to changes in requirements were to minimize stopping of the process.
