This paper reviewed a few output-only system identification algorithms and identified the shortcomings of those popular blind source separation methods. To address the issues such as less sensors than the targeted modal modes (under-determinate problem), repeated natural frequencies as well as systems with complex mode shapes, this paper proposed a complex wavelet modified second order blind identification method (CWMSOBI) by transforming the time domain problem into time-frequency domain. The wavelet coefficients with different dominant frequencies can be used to address the under-determinate problem, while complex mode shapes are addressed by introducing the complex wavelet transformation. Numerical simulations with both high and low signal-to-noise ratios validate that CWMSOBI can overcome the above-mentioned issues while obtaining more accurate identified results than other blind identification methods.
The adsorption method for the determination of the formation constants of the metal complexes with organic acids was developed by using membrane filters. The adsorption method involved the measurements of radioactivities of the adsorbed metal on membrane filters and the filtrate solution after the radioactive metal ion were filtered through membrane filters in the presence of organic ions of varying concentration. Comparing the adsorption method with the ion exchange method, it was seen that the adsorption method was simpler and faster than the ion exchange method. As an example of the metal complex with organic acid yttrium citrate complex was chosen, and the formation constant of the complex obtained by the adsorption method showed $K_f=2.0{\times}10^{-4}(l. mole^{-1})$ at a pH of 7. Also the present study revealed that the carrierfree state of yttrium in aqueous solution was present in the completely ionized state.

An injection locking technology of a semiconductor laser is a promising technology to generate optical complex signals by adjusting optical injection parameters. The extraction of the precise injection parameters plays a key role in the generation of the optical complex signal. Rate equations of semiconductor lasers under optical injection are commonly used to map the injection parameters and the corresponding optical complex signal. The accuracy of the generated optical complex signal on the injection parameters is limited since the rate equations require a locking map-based interpolation method. We propose a novel analytic method, namely rate equation-based direct extraction method, to directly calculate the injection parameters without relying on the locking map-based interpolation method. We achieved 103-times improvement of the signal accuracy by using the proposed method compared to locking-map based interpolation method.
A new method of qualitative and quantitative determination of barbiturates in the pharmaceuticals by means of $\alpha$-picoline-copper (II) was studied. Barbiturates in the pharmaceuticals were dissolved in the mixed solvent of 33% $\alpha$-picoline-Carbontetrachloride to yield Complex Compounds of barbiturates-copper (II)-$\alpha$-picoline. Complex Compounds of barbiturates show uniformly maximum absorption at the wavelength of 540m.mu. and wre to be identified at the concentration of 1 X 10$^{-4}$ Mole, and also was to be quantitatively determined at the concentration of 1 X 10$^{-3}$ Mole. By this method barbiturates in the pharmaceuticals could be determined in the presence of various compounds such as sulpyrine, isopropylantipyrine, antipyrine, phenacetin and etc. But Barbiturates could be also determined by this method after seperation with aminopyrine, acetaminophen, acetylsalicylic acid and etc. by column chromatography. And barbiturates and acetylsalicylic acid could be also determined by simultaneous equation while their complex compounds show uniformly each maximum absorption at the Wavelength of 540 m${\mu}$ and 620 m${\mu}$. I.R. spectra of these complex compounds show identification of Barbiturates derivatives. The composition ratio of these complex compounds were : barbiturates : Cu : ${\alpha}$-picoline=2:1:2.
Inclusion complex of omeprazole(OMZ) with hydroxypropyl-$\beta$-cyclodextrin(HP-$\beta$-CD) was prepared by freeze-drying method. The complexation was confirmed by means of UV, CD, IR, DSC, XRD and $^{1}$H-NMR spectra. The benzimidazole moiety of OMZ might be found to be included into the cavity of HP-$\beta$-CD and the inclusion complex appeared to be $A_{L}$ type. The stoichiometric ratio of OMZ : HP-$\beta$-CD was found to be 1:1, and the stability constants of the inclusion complex by solubility and UV method were about 34 and 45 M$^{-1}$, respectively. The dissolution of OMZ was significantly enhanced from powder and. yablet of OMZ-HP-$\beta$-CD complex when compared to those of OMZ alone, and oil-to-water partition coefficient of OMZ-HP-$\beta$-CD complex was significantly higher than that of OMZ alone. Therefore, it was expected that the bioavailability of OMZ could be improved markedly by inclusion complexation of OMZ with HP-$\beta$-CD.
In recent years, genome-wide association (GWA) studies have successfully led to many discoveries of genetic variants affecting common complex traits, including height, blood pressure, and diabetes. Although GWA studies have made much progress in finding single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with many complex traits, such SNPs have been shown to explain only a very small proportion of the underlying genetic variance of complex traits. This is partly due to that fact that most current GWA studies have relied on single-marker approaches that identify single genetic factors individually and have limitations in considering the joint effects of multiple genetic factors on complex traits. Joint identification of multiple genetic factors would be more powerful and provide a better prediction of complex traits, since it utilizes combined information across variants. Recently, a new statistical method for joint identification of genetic variants for common complex traits via the elastic-net regularization method was proposed. In this study, we applied this joint identification approach to a large-scale GWA dataset (i.e., 8842 samples and 327,872 SNPs) in order to identify genetic variants of obesity for the Korean population. In addition, in order to test for the biological significance of the jointly identified SNPs, gene ontology and pathway enrichment analyses were further conducted.
This paper deals with analysis of complex grounding system using electromagnetic simulation method. Electrical devices could be damaged by transient voltage such as a lightning surge. Therefore the measures to protect the equipments from transient, such as a lightning are required. The ground system is important in this respect. The representative parameter of grounding system performance is earth ground resistance. Precise prediction of earth resistance is required, because it is difficult to modify and change after the completion of the grounding system construction. Numerical modeling is often used in numerical analysis to identify the electrical characteristics of the grounding system. However complex systems are difficult to predict grounding characteristics by numerical analysis. If the total electric field of the earth in general is similar to the antenna model, in that the incident electric field and expressed as a sum of the scattering field. In this study, the electromagnetic field simulation tool "ANSYS HFSS" module containing the antenna model was used to analyze performance of ground system. Both the simple and complex grounding system were analyzed by simulation tool and experimental method. As a result simulation method is effective to predict performance of a complex ground system.

This paper presents the optimized approximation of finite element modeling for a complex tool holder spindle using both DOE (Design of Experiment) with Optimal Latin Hypercube (OLH) method and approximation modeling method with Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural network structure. The complex tool holder is used for holding a (milling/drilling) tool of a machine tool. The engineering problem of complex tool holder results from the twisting of spindle of tool holder. For this purpose, we present the optimized approximation of finite element modeling for a complex tool holder spindle using both DOE (Design of Experiment) with Optimal Latin Hypercube (OLH) method (specifically a module of $iSight^{(R)}$ FD-3.1) and approximation modeling method with Radial Basis Function (RBF) (another module of $iSight^{(R)}$ FD-3.1) neural network structure

In this paper, the kinematic and dynamic analyses of spatial complex kinematic chain are studied. Through the new method both using the set of identification numbers and applying the DenavitHartenberg link representation method to the spatial complex kinematic chain, the kinematic configuration of the chain is represented. Some link in the part of closed chain being fictitiously cutted, the complex kinematic chain is transformed to the branched chain. The kinematic constraint equations are derived from the constraint conditions which the cutted sections of the link have to satisfy. And the joint variables being partitioned in the independent joint variables and the dependent joint variables, the dependent variables are calculated from the independent variables by using the Newton-Raphson iterative method and the pseudoinverse matrix. The equations of motion are derived under the independent joint variables by using the principle of virtual work. Algorithms for dynamic analysis are presented and simulations are done to verify accuracy and efficiency of the algorithms.

Analysis is given of construction and stability of complex symmetric analogues of Householder matrices, with applications to the eigenproblem for such matrices. We investigate numerical properties of the deflation of complex symmetric matrices by using complex symmetric Householder transformations. The proposed method is very similar to the well-known deflation technique for real symmetric matrices (Cf. [16], pp. 586-595). In this paper we present an error analysis of one step of the deflation of complex symmetric matrices.
